  • Very good video, but i noticed a poster in the end of the video where it was written that the mausers origin also was from Norway, if it means the Swedish mauser then it is all wrong. Norway hasn´t manifactured the rifle, it´s Carl Gustafs Stads Gevärsfaktori that has it and it has nothing to do with Norway. Very nice job with restoring the rifle.

  • Beautiful Swede! I have just bought a m/96-38. Can you tell me where you obtained the range plate, please?

    tac

  • @tacfoley - Thanks! The range plate came with the rifle.

  • Great job, both on the rifle and the history. Just an additional piece of advice: the ones made by Husqvarna during the war years suffered from inferior barrel steel and consequent, premature wear.

  • Brilliant job on that mauser. Beautiful rifles, and it must have been a pleasure to restore it to what it was like!

  • You really spent some time and effort in restoring that rifle, and you done a brilliant job! Well done! : )

  • Hey check out my vid of our 7mm husqvarna! Are these guns rare?

Amazing rifle-- I could shoot it all day

  • great vid.

  • @Gloriusful - thanks!

  • Normally I object to refinishing mil-surps because of their history but...hot shit that looks great! You did a really nice job on the swede, looks incredible! How does it shoot though?

  • Thanks. Click on the links under the video.

  • Sweet rifles m8, im part of a military rifle club, lookin for a 6.5 but most r in bad con, or realy expensive

  • One of the best military rifles ever made. Great accuracy and low recoil. I was lucky to find one on a gun show in PA for under$200. The barrel is not in the good shape but still holds tight groups.

  • @ColdFusion0 of course it does its the best mauser out there.

  • The only good gun related thing about living here in Sweden , is that it is easy to find one of these in good condition for next to nothing.

  • @LittleMaggot50

You can find one in Sweden in good condition for 100-200 USD, we have a few hundred thousands left.

And at least as many more rebuild for sporting or hunting (I have one from 1909 rebuild in the 70,s for hunting).

  • miss mine. had a threaded barrel. date 1917 Carl Gustav. barrel crown was damaged, eventually sold it. wanted sniper rifle instead.

  • Beautiful rifle, nicely restored! Good job :)

  • Thanks
