This is good, but this helps you up to pre-algebra, past that, non of this helps you, and most standardized tests don't allow abaci.

many people advising here to use calc,,,the whole video tells u with Abacus u can perform calculations much faster,

Ok i see no point of this... in wat situation would you need such fast calculation done by humans! u can use the calculator at ur own speed. If there is course that creates math genius it needs to be a core course a course that will creatively stimulate a kids mind with equations, arithmetic, basic algebra... i would want kids to creatively solve equations, form creative ways to solve simple trigonometry, create not conform to such useless teaching which does not help create anything, use a calc

I have my doubts regarding the time they show the students take for answering. It mightn't be as smooth as they are showing her. Just a lil paranoid that how can you be that quick, its not even about the fact that the abacus isn't fast enough. But even processing so many nos with the additions and subtractions, I believe, take more time than they are showing here.

Mr Genius! It doesnt matter whether you can apply that in practical life. Its the incredible speed and accuracy with which they use Abacus which is appreciable.

Awesome.....Though I did my entire schooling in one of the best schools of Bangalore, I always dreaded mathematics and fumbled on even simplest problems so much that I still get scared to death if a kid comes and asks me to solve his std VII maths problem. :(
