I visit the dentist 3 times a year, if i need any work like fillings, extraction or straightening no problem but if i want any cosmetic work like polishing or veneers then i have to pay privately. So, we dont have bad teeth, we just dont have fake bright white hollywood veneers, we have what we were born with as teeth are an important part of human survival, not a fashion accessory.
In 2007 approx 33% of Americans had no dental health cover and even more had no basic dental cover on their health insurance, approx 20% had no health insurance. Financial difficulties are a bigger problem today than in 2007 so its likely to be higher now, all people of a modern civilised country should at least have the benefit of fresh water, healthcare and education. At least a 3rd of a nation with no access to dental care means a lot of bad dental health.

I've been a huge aviation fan since childhood, my dad is, he use to take us to all the American airshows at the US bases here, Mildenhall, Lakenheath, Fairford, Alconbury. The US bases are like America in the UK, everythings American, the cars, the food, unbelievable airshows. I go to Lakenheath quite a lot to watch the F15's and use to go to the Donna Nook beach range to watch the A10's firing the GAU8.

I'm guessing the humour part is him saying he can't bend to pick up the 5p because he's got a bad back. Whereas, in reality, he's a decorated Scots Guard Sergeant who is likely highly trained in hand and weapon combat... as well as the trombone. Its a strange stereotype, in the UK we have dentists as part of our healthcare. I visit the dentist 3 times a year, if i need any work like fillings, extraction or straightening no problem but if i want any cosmetic work like polishing or veneers then i have to pay privately. So, we dont have bad teeth, we just dont have fake bright white hollywood veneers, we have what we were born with as teeth are an important part of human survival, not a fashion accessory.

In 2007 approx 33% of Americans had no dental health cover and even more had no basic dental cover on their health insurance, approx 20% had no health insurance. Financial difficulties are a bigger problem today than in 2007 so its likely to be higher now, all people of a modern civilised country should at least have the benefit of fresh water, healthcare and education. At least a 3rd of a nation with no access to dental care means a lot of bad dental health.

Over here dental care will fix your teeth and make them healthy, private care is excellent but we think its expensive, we're use to free treatment so any cost is expensive but we have to pay for cosmetic and speciallist work. Private care is always better due to market competition and they need to be to get our continuous custom.

I've been a huge aviation fan since childhood, my dad is, he use to take us to all the American airshows at the US bases here, Mildenhall, Lakenheath, Fairford, Alconbury. The US bases are like America in the UK, everythings American, the cars, the food, unbelievable airshows. I go to Lakenheath quite a lot to watch the F15's and use to go to the Donna Nook beach range to watch the A10's firing the GAU8.

I grew up on a USMC air base (Cherry Point NC - largest in the world) so I've been around aviation a lot too. My dad was a Harrier crew chief and so I got to do cool stuff like sit in the cockpit etc. We used to sit on our roof and watch the Blue Angel shows every year. Was good fun.
