I myself have both Cerebral palsy & Asperger's Syndrome/Autism. I wear metal/plastic AFO's on both my legs, & I use Loftstrand/forearm Crutches or my Rollator Walker for "mobility". My 2008 ford Ranger pickup truck is equipped with Adaptive Equiment/Hand controls to9 aid me in "driving".
@werwer4545 neurological disorder, it mixes up the messages that the brain receives from the muscles and prevents proper control of the body, it isnt a nice thing to live with because you become prone to chest infections and other things, some children cant even breathe on their own
I am sure making that decision to get a wheelchair is a difficult one with a lot of attached emotions, but in the long run, it will help keep her completely mobile under her own locomotion. She is adorable! Thank you for sharing this video.
@alex97k thank you for your kind comment! they are VERY welcome and much appreciate! I get an email on my phone and then it puts a smile on my face when people like you say nice things!
I so appreciate how you love and care for your daughter. She is so blessed to have a wonderful dad like you. God knew what he was doing when he placed her in your care. She is an amazing little girl.
@DoubleDipperBrian I came home from work yesterday and she RAN to the door (stumbling a few times of course) and jumped into my arms, yelling Daddy's home the whole time. Grabbed my face and kissed me. Then she was stuck to me like this 28 pound magnet. I love it and it's gonna happen again in less than 2 hours and I can't wait! And your comment is awesome and I can't thank you enough for sharing that with me!
@iToasterman I often ask myself, do people OTHER than me read other comments before asking a question? I kid I kid, but @Supramna92557 asked that question and my answer was no to him and no to you. She has Cerebral Palsy, so she can't walk without falling down and running into things. So she uses a walker.
THANK YOU GUYS FOR ALL OF YOUR KIND COMMENTS! They mean a LOT to me! I am editing the other video I posted and probably an hour away from it being finished. You all encourage me for posting more videos like this, even though it's so hard knowing a certain person is watching them. And "SOME" of you know what I am talking about.
@NJFordPops08005 haha! I got plans man! I am selling my truck THIS MONTH (if everything goes as planned) and I am not stopping until I find a V6 4x4 Ranger! it has to have a rear sliding glass, preferably a towing package, and a MANUAL Transmission! I will not settle with an automatic! Blah! And it snows AT LEAST 6 months out of the year here, and I have to drive up a steep hill to get home, so I want some NICE snow tires on it, and HOPEFULLY to lift it and make some videos if I get stuck!
@NJFordPops08005 actually, gonna get that done by the end of the month. getting a few very nice deposits at the same time and I am freaking loving how everything is going so far.
@BRAD51000 depends what you call normal I guess. because she CAN walk but it's very rough. and later it will get better, but it will never be perfect like you and I would walk. But it really doesn't matter. Because she is mobile and that's what matters.
@Supramna92557 she didn't hurt anything. She was born with Cerebral Palsy. So she can't walk without falling every few steps. She walks with her walker most of the time.
great family!
