  • how do you make to cucumber sink? cause the loaches have to swim to the top to eat it..

  • does anyone know if yo yo loaches will eat it and cory catfish and do u know if it discolours ur water

  • JUST GREAT ! I WILL DO THIS TOMOROW AND SEE HOW THEY ENJOY

  • what is the song?

  • I feed my fish cucumbers as well as zucchini. I even created my own food delivery system too. Cheap, easy to make, and anyone can do it. Take a look, I have lots of vids on my channel! You have a great looking set-up with those loaches too! I don't have any of those, my tank is very active with all the types I have in my community though. Drop in and see sometime!

  • can you put clown loaches with neon tetras thanks

  • Yeah, my girlfriend did for 6 years, untill the neons went from old age.

  • you can feed them fucking cucumber?

  • @MadAboutAltonTowers Yes and they LOVE peas too!

  • Lovely film. Thank you.I have those curly-anchors, too. I feed a similar slice of courgette to my clown loaches, khuli loaches & 14" plecos. Such fun to watch them all tucking in. Also, FYI cucumber not poisonous to clown loaches.

  • How big is your tank nice munch music

  • @shamheff1989 Cucumber doesn't kill CL's. The only thing you have to do is boil it for a while to make sure its soft. Its actually a vegetable recommended to feed CL's. Don't know where you are getting your information.

  • hehe, mine are like this over mildly boiled peas. .. and that clicking !!!! :)

  • healthy motherfucking loaches

  • wats the song called? :)

  • you shoukdnt feed clown loaches cucember, it kills them you idiot

  • @shamheff1989 really? that makes perfect sense that they're eating it!

  • @FattimousMaximous I have a Rainbow in with my CL's and none of them have touched it.

I have tried a tiny bit of celery. placed it under a pebble and after 3 days, it was gone.

dont know who ate it though.

  • when i feed my fish veggies it looks like they aren't able to bite pieces off the veggie =[

  • @irbenson blanche the veggies bro... just a wee bit. and they'll be hogging them :)

  • my cucumber wont sink it keep on floating

  • @InXCtinC yeah, usually happens. put it in a bowl or warm/hot water and just press it a bit, not squeeze.. the warm water will expand the air trapped in and it will escape :)

  • I never cease to be amazed by this. No matter how I try, my clowns ignore cucumbers, bananas, shrimp, and everything else but their favorite tablets.

  • ow im definatly buying some cucumber lol .

  • just got some loaches, one has no red but instead is just yellow n black. dont no why haha

  • Amazing vid! I never thought to feed them cucumber!!! They love it! Wow

  • sub my channel for mad good fish videos

  • would thewy be okay in a 75g or what?

  • OMGGGG That is sooooo cute!! I had a clown loach but it died coz it was stressed out. My friend chased it around with the net. :(

  • @Whalesharksrule12117 wow that guy was a jerk

  • i boil zucchini but is it bad if it isnt organic? Please Help

  • how did u get the cucumber to sink?

  • @maplerocks2429 looks like its attached to something keeping it down

  • @maplerocks2429

    you boil it

  • Great video. I love this fish, but sadly my tank is a bit small to keep any...

  • how come they don't eat all the plants??? some hints please:)

  • @avekelder Mine ignore some plants and mess with others. For example, I cannot grow aponogeton, The stems get eaten every time. However, they've left everything else alone. They do uproot things sometimes by digging around the base to look for food.

  • how big is your tank?

  • that is sooo cool!

  • I give mine any veggies that I might be cutting up. Carrots, celery, lettuce, spinach...etc. They like it all. They are my favorite fish in my tank. I have 10 right now ranging from about 2.5" to about 5.5"

  • @svtcontour I've never tried carrots or celery with mine. Thanks for the ideas.

  • @celticchrys No problem. I will say that they seem to like a lot of different veggies but most times they didnt seem to like root vegetables such as parsnips, turnips, beets..etc. Maybe they have too much 'spice'. They also really like Kale I find.

  • Thats fantastic. Perhaps we have some things in common, well 2 at least. We have clown loach, and I love THE FALL. Nice clear vid. Shall be knocking the tetramin on the head now....Waldorf Salad tonight!!

  • haha cool wil they eat freez dried brine shrimp?

  • i just put some cucumber in my tank with my clown loaches i got yesterday and they wont even look at it i stuck a spoon in it to get it to sink to the bottom what do i do? i was thinking on feeding them some blood worms

  • i love the clicking sound they make when they eat

  • nice tank :D

  • lol my louches wont eat it how do you do it?they go up too it ad taste it but leave it after a second ?lol nice cool tank tho

  • @Dsniper34 Try zucchini if cucumber won't be looked at. I feed them tomatoes and zucchini

  • Is it really safe to throw in Cucumbers for bottom feeders?

  • @301whitehall I throw zucchini in and just leave it, never a problem. I just do regular water changes, no issues!

  • whats the name of this track?

  • how big is your tank

  • coool fish ( clown loach) ;)

  • how hardy are clown loaches compared to a guppy?

  • @fishlover80 they arent

  • @fishlover80

No where near, guppy's are much more hardy. Clowns need really clean water - nitrates <20ppm

  • @fishlover80 as long as water conditons are good, and you make proper water changes, no issues

  • nom nom nom nom

  • just bought one of these guys :D

  • I slice & boil my cucumbers til they are soft and sink to the bottom. I've fed apple snails, plecos, synods, and other fishes boiled cucumbers and they love it.

  • @kenwayne69

how long do you boil your cuccumbers, i try to feed my bottom feeding golden dojo loach zuchinis, cooked and raw but they keep floating up on surface

  • @SexyCeciDai see what you do is use a fork thats what i do and it works just fine

  • @SexyCeciDai I have just used lead weights you get with plants. I never boil them and they eat them. I think it might have to do they have teeth that can crack snail shells, so never worried about it

  • @SexyCeciDai I use zucchini, and never boil it. I figure it's because they have teeth that can crack snail shells, so no need to worry

  • is that wat u usually feed them?

  • are clown loaches aggressive?

  • @ps2dude13 no you can keep them with manny different fish:)

  • No i know what I am going to put in with my rainbow fish! My problem with them was that they didn't come out the last time i had them. Looks like cucumber is the way to roll! Any special tips?

  • do these fish ever mate or do they mate but no 1 ever saw they or do they breed? i have a sucking loach silver and 1 black one it looks scary

  • they can be bredhowever they need to be huge before they will try. in fact they grow so slowly that by the time they are big enough that you'll probably have lost interest.

  • ZIM that combination of fish seems fine to me

RAD no special preparation just sink cucumber to the bottom attatch to a stone or fork but not too many as to foul the tank water

  • HOW MANY TANKS YOU HAVE ?

  • like the clowns, they love shrimp cocktail also! mine eat it all the time

  • can i put glowlight tetra, otocinclus catfish, ghost glass cat fish, clown loach, pearl gourami, and a denison barb together in a 90 gallon tank?

  • I am lucky enough to have 7 clown loach in my 6ft tank like yours they love cucumber which i discovered by accident whilst putting some in for my plecos

  • nice setup great vid!!

  • bout to get some of these for my tank, got some live plants and some snails tagged along. snail population has exploded in my tank

  • My Clown Loaches are al alone in they're Tank :( Gonna add a few more to the pack tomorrow! Any name suggestions?

  • Angel fish?

  • My pacu eats fruits, nuts, veggies, trail mix, feeder mice, pretty much anything that falls in the tank.

  • Rad.

Is there any special way you have to prepair the cucumber. I also heard you can feed fish frozen peas, lettuce leaves, and potatoes. Do you know if those require any special preparation as well?

  • If you have a snail issue drop some of these in your tank.

  • If u keep a clown loach in a 34 gallon tank will he stay small or outgrow the tank

  • I have a Clown Loach also and as a baby I had him in a 10 gallon tank, but now he has gotten so big, he is not in a 55 gallon tank. Within a year or so he will need a bigger one. So if you get one of these fish be sure that you have a HUGE tank. And watch as these get full grown, they can become agressive with other fish. But they are awesome fish for your aquarium!

  • best fish... ever!

  • wow stupid people don't realize that clown loaches can get to be over a foot long and need like 50 gallon tnaks haha

  • Are you kidding? A 50 gallon tank is WAY to small for them.

    You need like a 180g (6x2x2) for a shoal of 6-8.

  • An excellent video! Thanks

  • om nom nom nom nom nom nom...

...I LOVE these fish I just got one today and it being acclimatized to my tank as I type.

  • i have a question how much do u like your clown loach from 1 to 10 im getting one tomarro and i was wondering is it a extreamly cool fish

  • yeah they are a really cool fish... mine is a rather picky eater though and I am trying to work around that problem. 8.5/10

  • Try doing a little bit of research on them, I am only telling you so you dont end up with dead fish.

  • clown loaches are freshwater right? and and an extra question thats kind of stupid :P, could i keep atleast 1 in a 2 gallon tank? ( im not sure if its 2 or 5 )

  • It is a stupid question you cant have ANY clown loaches in a 2 gallon tank.

  • was i asking you? no. do you need to be rude? no. do i know who you are? no. so thank you.

  • well digglesify is right though, it be sad to put any tropical fish in a 2 gallon because a fish needs room, lots of room to swim, id atleast use a 10-15 gallon minimum, but also i have been told you should only have one clown loach per 50 gallons, dont no if its true or not

  • it was a very stupid question, i have 2 khuli loaches instead.

  • in fact they do..clwon loaches can live in excess of 50 years if kept healthy

  • Comment removed

  • the don't live 40 years more like 6-8. They grow slowly

  • wrong

  • yeah my clown loachs hide all the time never come out at all .

  • they are nocturnal

  • I've got one with a iredesent shark, and will they go with a black ghost knifefish?

  • Yeah I would think so. I have a black ghost knife-coolest fish ive ever had!

  • i just got 4 clown loach and they hide inside a holo pice of bogwood . do clown loach normaly hide?

  • They are pretty shy like most catfish are. They will also work as a team to create tunnels under driftwood in gravel. As a kid, I had a group of 5 that used to work together and systematically suck one piece of gravel up into their mouth at a time, then spit it out and suck another one up, etc. They never DID manage to make a big tunnel, though...

  • They are so happy :)

  • I just use the metal strips you get with plants the weigh down the vegetables

  • is clown loach not meat eaters?

  • I kept a single for about 5 years before i sold it back to Uncle Bills. It'll find things to eat. Just give it some crooks and crannies to go into and you won't have a problem.

  • nice tank.

  • they dont die if u feed them cucumber ?

  • Why would they..?

  • the waste

  • wow this is intense

  • these are seriously my all time fav fish.....i love their bright colors....its especially fun watching them in groups

  • they are pretty simple. Usually around $10 a piece for 2-3 inchers though, and they should be in groups. Not aggressive though. Mine like zucchini.

  • Love it, I have 3 clown loaches and 3 cherry barbs, all get along well, gotta love the clown loaches!

  • Hey man thats a great way to way down cucumber i am going to try it for my tiger barbs. Hey whats is this song?

  • How do you weigh it down?

  • a small metal fork thats what i use

  • Lol a Pack of Clown Loaches ! Are they easy to keep cause i herd that they are agresive and hard to keep also expensive is this true?

  • They are too cute!

  • I am def going to try the cucumber again with one of these gizmos. Do you blanch yours with garlic at all? I heard that can entice them to eat, but I had no luck with it. I will try and try again. Mine are like stubborn children who won't eat their veggies. lol

  • itmay be that they arent hungry and that your loaches are too well fed possibly? they can get picky my loaches get freeze dried shrimp and loach pellets....i put cucumber in for the plecos and the loaches wont touch it always go straight for the shrimp and pellets....only time they have eaten cucmber is when i tested them and didnt feed them their usual shrimp and pellet and they hadnt eaten for 24 hours....they then picked at the cumber

  • I just ordered some of those screwcumbers and then I am going to give it another go.

I will def give them a day without feeding and see if that helps. I'm sure my rainbowfish will love the fact too as they eat veggies, but only get it in flake form. I read that rainbowfish will eat the floating pieces of cucumber that the loaches make when they are eating. So, we will see what happens. THX

  • luv these fish its like they sharks but wont kill ur other small fish it kewl

  • Yay! scrucumber

  • I just fed my Silver Dollars cucumber, they love it as they're vegetarians.

  • mine loaches like apples for some reasonO_o

  • HOW DO YOU GET THE WEIGHTS ON THERE?

  • the weights are called screwcumber, they are on ebay.

  • thanks

  • i want some for my loaches and leporinus but will goldfish eat cucumbers too

  • I just use a small fork to weigh down my cucumber/zuchini for my bristlenoses.

  • @BASEJOCK11 you can always use a stainless steel fork O_o.

if its a hassal to buy one and if its too ugly then dig the fork into the sand :) to hide it

  • These fish are horriable not only are they pigs they are carnivours too! Watch how all the fish die off slowly and all you have left are loaches ha ha !

  • are you retarded?

  • Dude, these fish are awesome!, They are omnivorous and they don't hunt down fish, the size of there mouth is too tiny to gulp down fish.

Although iv'e seen them eat dead fish, but iv'e never seen them eat live fish.

  • Clown loaches are awesome! They are omnivorous but do NOT hunt down fish. They may be seen eating deceased fish, but not killing and eating.

  • @anoopbacon i kno u wrote this 1 yr ago but my clown loath murdered one of my small tiger barbs....:( and i kno cause i watched him do it.

  • Once every 1 week is good.

  • what size tank is that?

  • how do you keep the cucumber on the ground?

  • Weights

  • how often is it to give em a cucmber weekly

  • where do you get those feeders?

  • its a "screwcumber" i think. google it.

  • You can just poke a teaspoon in the cucumber to weigh it down. No need to buy a special gadget.

  • my indian loach will swim around with his head in an end of cucumber >:)

  • hi i have 2 clown loachers in my tank and they have really fat bellys and none of the other fish do could u tell me y

  • Their pigs!LOL

  • notin to worry about but if u want to make them slimmer surprisingly if you go to your nearest aquarium they will ahve special diet fish food but there is loads for different fish so ask wich 1 to use

  • I have my clown loaches in PH of like 8.0 (my water is very alkaline) and they seem to be doing fine. I have good water quality though, no nitrates/nitrites, its a 60 gallon and I have yet to loose a fish and its been 6 months. I'll post a vid of it if I can get this to work with my Windows Movie Maker, ugh.

  • Nice vid, what a feeding frenzy! There is a screwcumber website, they'll ship most places. Just google screwcumber comes straight up!

  • cool loaches...do you usually feed them cucumbers?

  • what do you keep your ph at

  • 7.5

  • but clown loaches need like 6.5

  • they don't need to be in exactly 6.5 in the ph range...they can be put into many other ranges of ph just as long as you keep your water quality in great shape then its nothing to worry about

  • My clowns have been living for around 9 years now that I've had them in water that has been near 7.0 with no apparent ill effects.

  • Excellent clip! Guys try feeding courgette/zucchini instead of cucumber, it has 10 times as many nutrients and the CL's like it as much as (if not more) then regular cucumber

  • Not exactly true, Cougette/Zucchin has got more Vitamin C but Cucumber has got twice as much vitamin K (good for bone development in fish).

So don't substitute Zuchinni instead of Cucumber give the fish both veg.

Variety is always better than sticking to one veg anyway.Blanched Sweet potatoe is also a favourite of my clown loaches and is packed with vitamins and minerals.

Safety Tip. Peel the skins off your vegetable and rinse to avoid any pesticides poisoning your fish.

  • Or you could grow or buy organic vegetables. That way you won't poison yourself or your fish! LOL!

  • Cool, I'm going to try feeding mine a cucumber.

  • silly question, but how to you get the cucumber to sink?

  • something called screwcumber I got from ebay

  • ha ha ws it expensive?

  • nope no problems at all....i have seen 13 inch loaches with 3 inch ones just make sure if u feed them pellets u break them up so they all get a
