Because Vic was coming back from dope and later went back to it, The Owls were going to be the next big thing. Vic is good now. Look for new ghost and vodka style recordings from him. Not gonna answer any comments as to how i know these things. Just a fantastic and obviously influential guitar player, Gawd bless Victor.
An actual STARGATE/PORTAL-THING was caught on film in New Mexico. The footage can be found within the short-film entitled "SUDDEN PORTHOLE", which is parked at the PROJECT CAMELOT YouTube page (it's under the George Noory video).
I'm not selling anything…I'm just trying to spread the word about the unseen-dimensions we find ourselves embedded in.
My BLOG @ samzurick*dot*com contains peripheral data regarding the movie and is where I reply to the "debunkers". THANKS!!
My favorite part about watching live Owls videos is watching Victor. He looks so stoic as if he doesn't have a care in the world about how awesome he is.
And watching Tim, of course. His eyes are closed and he doesn't care how ridiculously awesome his moves are.
did they only make one cd? because when i look for more albums on itunes i find this band with a girl singer? with mike you can find every owen cd. just wonderin...
It's too bad when I hear people refusing t listen to Kinsella stuff after Cap'n Jazz, because there's a great big body of work that is bound to have a lot of stuff they would love.
Especially the "Capn' Jazz is better than Owls" people, because even if Owls doesn't sound the same that much, it's still the same guys, with their talents more refined and a lot more experience (and dare I say it, quality control).
@kisstheclowns i somewhat agree, they probably think it sounds like cap'n jazz because of the vocals, like the whole emotional screaming thing, but this band is way more instumental and melodic, they are both amazing bands though
thanks, so maybe you can embellish me in some knowledge, please & thanks! When I saw them 2 times, once in Portland 2000, and Chicago 2001, I thought that was Mike K.?!? Please tell me if different...
Imstoned7 so there, :)
Starla, Portland. OR USA. Anyway Tim is a crack-up. he is charming. I accidentally poked him in the eyewhile trying to kiss his cheek, Tim, My Sister, and I had some cocktails @ a place here in Portland, called, "My Father's Place".

Tim Kinsella's lyrics are fucking amazing.
Basically any musical project that the Mike, Tim and/or Nate get involved with is pure genius.

owls definately surpasses capn jazz in maturity and skill.

Sure Mike played drums for Owls, but this isn't him on drums.
I love your cute story about Tim. It's so cute. You're cute. It's cute.
Did my sarcasm come across? "So there :)"

Ryan Rapsys replaced Mike on the drums because Mike left Owls to focus on Owen, which is quite alright with me :)

both are awesome. i think they're just trying to offset the overbearing concentration of kinsella genius into two bands.

I like Owls, but Cap'n Jazz are way better.

anyway, this guy is doing a very good job of duplicating his performance. mike's a fantastic drummer.
