Let me add this. It isn't just the orphans. I taught English at a college, with a group of others. Most of the students were either Ukrainian Orthodox, or atheist, or something quite strange. But because of the way we taught, and the love we shared just by being us, many cried. They told us they never knew such love. They could not bear to say goodbye to us. They said they wanted to know where we got our happiness and our love, and why we loved them so much. We told them it's from Jesus.
Many were shocked, as to them, even the Orthodox, God was a far-away being, someone to be revered but not close to. We shared that it's a relationship with Jesus, not a mere acknowledgement, that gives us such joy and love. They wanted to know more, and more, so we told them as they continued to ask questions, and even criticize. As a result, many came to Christ, and now know and experience that love and joy and spiritual fulfillment they never knew existed.
What else in this world can offer children real, true, love and hope? These are the things they long for. Can Buddha offer it? What about Allah?

So I again question the motive. Are they helpig because they genuinely care, or are they helping because they will get credits with "god" when they die by saving these kids and doing gods work? The same god that leaves them on the street. Aside that they are doing a reasonable job, if the bigot, intolerance, and religious discrimination elments were removed and they allowed non-christians to help, it would be amuch more successful. I have to agree, I am heading out to Russia to help street kids like these guys, the amount of "ministries" and other "christian" organisations I contacted denied me the chance, unless I joined their ministry (for a fee of course), and would preach etc to the kids, get involved in bible studies etc! Its unfair how some of them wont let you help because you are not a christian!!. . .kids cant eat books!

That is a choice they will have to make on their own -- all I do is provide them with the truth. Why feed them with what is perishable, rather than feed them with the Truth that is eternal? Let me add this. It isn't just the orphans. I taught English at a college, with a group of others. Most of the students were either Ukrainian Orthodox, or atheist, or something quite strange. But because of the way we taught, and the love we shared just by being us, many cried. They told us they never knew such love. They could not bear to say goodbye to us. They said they wanted to know where we got our happiness and our love, and why we loved them so much. We told them it's from Jesus.

I have been to Ukraine. I have seen the desparateness of the kids. They have no hope for anything. Organizations, whether religious or secular humanitarian, do what they can to help. Hope for a future. Hope for someone to love them. And in the absence of a father or a good role model, they are taught about God, the Father to the fatherless. HE loves them, and sends His people out to help. Through the love of the people, the kids can know the love of God, if they so choose.

I believe in God and I think God is something good and positive, I believe that this ministry is putting good and positive in their head. I am sure that after introducing them to God, these kids will think twice before doing something bad or illegal.

They never had any love or kind word from anyone, not their parents that's for sure so why not tell them that there is someone out there that cares about them.

So say one truly believes that Jesus is the only way to eternal life--our only escape from the wrath of God. In that case, which yes I know is not your view (obviously), it would be the most UNloving thing NOT to tell the children about Jesus.

why not just help them and not indoctrinating them? I respect anyone who helps these children, but also hope that people can help without an ulterior motive/adding them to the numbers of their religion.

i agree with you , the religions have proofen to be indoctrinators.
If they really want to help them they would leave their religion at home.
