Please, before we try to reject atmospheric physics let's let competing physicists argue in peer-review-just like they are doing. Science is adjudicated through this process, not Dr. Lindzen's magical mystery solo tour. Smart guy, but fighting outside his arena. Specious tactics if you're a scientist.
Bill Nye is a very smart guy but Climate Change is still up in the air as far as being able to predict the future and as well measure temperature using proxies from the past. Mann et als newest study seems to show again the same statistical problems and data smoothing issues that the previous studies show. Maybe he can rationalize it but I don't believe he can at this time.
@FantasticBob7000 2yrs on and I think I need to agree with you. I think that the scientific world, of which I am part has a real problem admiting that big problems sometimes are years away from a analysis due to thousands of constraints on quality data collection.

It's 2011 and we still can't predict the weather, I just hope we're right about global warming

@EasyEs Ny isn't nearly as smart as Lindzen. He has no business being a member of the Skeptics Society.

@EasyEs The scientific world sometimes is also unaware of political agendas using science for their own purposes.
