America could not conduct any war against Iran without the use of British and European bases or without their support, and as the public of Britain and Europe would be opposed to any war against Iran, I doubt the Americans would get permission to use any European / British bases, this would include bases in Cyprus aswell as Turkish bases, the Americans would not have a coalition of the willing.

Also, religion is a belief that need not be constrained by land, the Israeli's still have right to the land regardless of their beliefs.
