sims 2 is better in some aspects. and sims 3 is better than some. for one thing in sims 2 you had the template worlds and easy tools to make your own town and story(and record it) in sims 3, not so much.

Sims 3 wasn't supposed to be the same as Sims 2, it was supposed to be a new game with new features, so of course it doesn't have the template worlds and easy tools like Sims 2.
