What a frightening and hateful sight.. indoctrinated children in a performance for a religious public. These children are no more capable of be christian than being postmodernists. There is hope that they might outgrow this indoctrination.. but it is a terrible shame that they had to be subject to it.

I have read the Bible, and there is more morality in a single Harry Potter book than the whole of that book. Mass genocide, forcing women to marry their rapists, dismemberment, etc, is not moral by any ethical standards

also; I was raised Xian but after educating myself in the sciences as well as studying other religions, and question my own, I learned that gods from the bronze age are no more real than Zeus or Vishnu. It's because people have more access and allowance to be educated that religion is dieing out in the developed world

Developed countries comprised of the highest amount of atheists were rated the most peaceful, happy and educated. The US was rated poorly, no surprise

In the Old Testament, God forgave the people of Nineveh even thought they were carrying out mass orgies (and had enslaved the Jews). See the messages of the prophets, and see that EVERY LAST ONE OF THEM preaches the love and mercy of Christ. The bible is not the Koran (you have to live every single word of it) but you simply have to abide by the love and teachings of Jesus Christ

1) I didn't say country, I said the Bible states so, thankfully most countries where Xians live use secular laws nowadays. The part about rapists marrying their victim is in Deuteronomy 22:28-29

2) Xians didn't invent the concept of charity, it's existed in other ideologies that predate Xianity such as Stoicism, Buddhism and Jainism, to name a few

3) I considered myself Xian until I sat down and read the Bible through myself, left Xianity soon after

I repeat-you do not have to propagate what the bible says, like some Muslim who doesn't eat a bacon burger beacause of something written millenia ago. You do NOT have to follow every word of the bible. The Catholic Bible is built around the 4 gospels, and all the books chosen by the early church were chosen because of how they could be linked to the gospels. So we have to read the 4 gospels and understand the message of Christ.

There's good mentioned in the Bible, particularly by JC, but at the same time JC tells people that he and god are one, which makes it really confusing since the god of the OT is a genocidal maniac. However, JC also made statements condoning the beating of slaves, tells people to abandon and hate their family if they don't follow JC, terrorizes all of humanity with the threat of hell and wars to come, etc. So I don't see him as the image of kindness and perfect love like Xians do

Christianity teaches the importance of a good family unit, the unwavering importance of Life, the pride of our sexuality, and lead by the example of the saints. You teach your children than if they don't have sex by 15 they're freaks, that a baby can be killed to keep the mum happy, that the family is nothing but a short-term union between a number of people (any sex, any number of participants) for as long as they like. @ivaflimkien I go "back to school" all the time.. just on your notion of "christian" sexuality.. the United States’ teen pregnancy rate is almost three times that of the far more secular Germany and France, and over four times that of the Netherlands. In the United States, the teen abortion rate is twice that of Germany and more than 1.5 times that of the Netherlands..I live here in Europe btw. Whose is misinformed now?

@daNDayati ffancy that, I'm a European too. If you're European, you ought to know that 39% of the French population is Muslim (and they don't allow teen pregnancies), and 34% of the German population has a Turkish ethnicity.

In my Catholic European country, teen pregnancies are the lowest in Europe, abortions are illegal, divorces are few in number, and our families have the highest durancies of W. Europe.

By the way, only 25% of the US population is Catholic, and most don't go to mass anyway.

It really gives me hope that they will respect the beliefs - and lack of belief - in their God(s) because they give so much respect to those who already believe in their God(s) but just do it in various ways.

Christians are so loving, compasionate and respectful! Sure glad they're here to show us all the RIGHT way! "Lord" knows we wouldn't have any morality without them or their God(s)!
