  • magnifico!!!

  • враво!!!!!!!!!!

  • oh yes, someones gettin laid tonight ;)

  • You can never look cool while playing an accordion but you can definitely make playing an accordion look cool and this kid proves it.

  • @AscTuber это баян, не аккордеон

  • the components of this video, what with the ballons and his grand-orchestra head bobbing, make this THE most incredible internet video

  • omg amazing, he's playing BOTH the orchestra AND solo part! fantastic

  • holy fuck, you are like epicness made into a boy

  • wow that is amazing absolutely amazing

  • This makes me wish I'd never favorited another video. Or at least had the option to "super favorite." As a lifelong classical musician I have never seen anything quite like this. Astounding!!!!!!

  • fantastic

  • у 8 человек нету слуха х)

  • why isn't this guy famous yet?!

  • LOOK AT THAT VIRGIN GO

  • how old is Aleksandr?

  • @Konstiin 26 I think...this is old video

  • He looks like having six fingers

  • Okay, so I am slightly ignorant. Is all of the music coming from him?? I've never been exposed to an accordion before...

  • @TheJordan888888 no it is a concerto meant to be played by i group as big as 50 people or more and this guy is doing it with one.

Tchaikovsky Concerto for Violin and Orchestra in B i believe

  • @Siriusblack2412 D major.

  • i kno whe is Russian,. but in Russia people are treated much differently, in states u can have minimum talent and still get a chance to make it out THERE, but for him its going to be extremely hard, :( non the less, I WISH ALL THE DAMN LUCK THERE IS IN THE WORLD! i hope you make it OUT and spread your talent !

  • Гений и трудяга.

  • Why don't people listen to this kind of music anymore? This is absolutely beautiful.

  • I'm from Colombia and here people play the accordion as part of the representative musical folklore (which I don't particularly like), mostly on the west coast of the country. But this is the first time I've ever seen one this big!! And someone playing it with such skill and passion!

    This guy earns my respect!

    Pure awesomeness!!!

  • @sebastiankreuz Russia has very talented people (no offense) and if they somehow do reach the big successes, the problem is that this work, the profession we are very poorly paid. You know the Russian people drink, not all of course, but they kill talent. We get a little money, so all the drinking, especially in the villages.

  • @Alya318 with all respect, I consider that regardless of being drinking or not, the talent is there, if people don't succeed, no matter where they're from, is just because of a lack of will, opportunities are many and people with such skills like this guy are the proof that even their music could reach the other side of the world.

  • @sebastiankreuz знаешь, как у нас в России говорят - талант не пропьешь ... :)

  • Comment removed

  • @sebastiankreuz It is clear that the strength of will and all that, but that is not paid! You know what makes us a teacher in a secondary school? By your standards, it is $ 300 per month! That's why people go to work there, always pay a little better, but on the talent necessary to put a professional cross. This can do for my own satisfaction, but as a profession - it is not paid, I know that our professors are working on five papers to get $ 1000 per month ...

  • Lucky I found this video since no tags are in English. Excellent performance! I only wish this instrument was as widely respected in the US because I'd rather majored in this than piano - thought I enjoy both.

  • and FINALLY it is his youtube channel guys. Be polite.

  • Born in 1983, Alexander Hrustevich started to play the bayan by the age of 6. He graduated Ukraine's National Academy of Music as a student of prof. Besfamilnov. Apart from his solo activity, he is also a member of the National Academy Orchestra.

  • He revels in the virtuosic spectacle of fingers flying and sliding and contorting over buttons and in the same time picking almost every note cleanly. It’s rather like playing the Bach Passacaglia on a travel typewriter, only harder.”(The Musical Patriot, D. Yearsley, 2009).

  • As prof. David Yearsley writes about Mr. Hrustevich’s recording, which he saw on Youtube: “The small stage on which Hrustevich demonstrates his art is festooned with yellow and orange balloons and fake flower garlands, the camera is hand-held, but despite all of this, you can feel how great are this virtuoso’s gifts.” The professor also compares his interpretations of Bach Passacaglia with a pianist: “Tricky passages that the pianist divided between the two hands, Hrustevich manages with one.

  • Mr. Hrustevich plays many transcriptions of classical music, for example, Tchaikovsky Concerto for violin, and what is most extraordinary -- he plays both orchestral and violin parts simultaneously. He also plays Bach, Balakirev (“Islamey”), Rachmaninov (“Vocalise”), Wieniawski, Vivaldi, Korsakov (“The Flight of the Bumble Bee”) and other pieces of classical piano and orchestral repertoire.

  • Ukrainian-born Alexander Hrustevich is one of the best bayanists in the world. Mr. Hrustevich is constantly invited to perform in many countries, including Poland, Austria, Germany, Italy, Spain, Russia, Serbia and many others. Just recently, he performed in Kiev, accompanying the world famous musician Bobby McFerren. He is a winner of many international competitions, including “Golden Accordion” (New York), ”Od baroka do jazza” (Poland), ”Accoholiday” (Ukraine) and others.

  • I agree so much with LorenzoLassek that I cannot find words for it...

  • я восхищена!!!! спасибо Александр за Ваш талант!!!!

  • Wow, this man is an absolute musical genius. Remarkable control, expression, and interpretation. What an incredible talent. Any serious musician can see that the bayan in his hands is very formidable. No one should ever make fun of this instrument after hearing this!!!

  • cool

  • Guys, who are coming here like people from the moon, it is NOT an accordeon, it is called bayan. If you really can hear the music you should feel the difference in the sound. There are a lot of people playing this instrument for more than a century and some of them playing very good. In 21 century, having google more often than wife it is not really difficult to get learned the world.

  • SAI DESSE CORPO QUE NÃO TE PERTENCE!!!!!

  • The dude can shred for sure. :D

  • I thought everyone learnt this on the recorder at primary school? Easypeasy

  • props? What props? This is nothing but TALENT! Lets hear some more from this amazing young man. Give him a scholarship, and a baton.

  • @barquester "props" is American slang meaning "proper respect." When you give someone props, it means giving them recognition for a job well done. It's not a reference to a stage prop.

  • Wow, i can't believe we were afraid of these people for like 50 years. The USSR didn't fall because of internal strife, or because communism is flawed, it fell because this video was leaked. The tough, mysterious facade crumbled revealing a virgin-for-life that spent every waking minute playing an accordion, go figure... :D

  • Bravo!!!

  • What Flavor! Along with the joy at hearing a really great performance not only of the Tcaikovsky, but of the accordion. Reminds me of when Joseph Hofmann said, "my hands are an extension of my mind!" When asked by a friend how he managed to reach whole octaves with his short fingers. This find musician is at one with the music and the instrument is not "an other."

  • chi sa come si chiama questo brano?

  • @muschical È il concerto per violino di Ciaikovski.

  • god my fingers would start getting numb from all that lol

  • he is too good...what an asshole right ha ha

  • Замечательный музыкант и замечательная интерпретация в лучших скрипичных исполнительских традициях.

    Браво!!!

  • Фантастика! Уму не постижимо. Брависсимо!

  • я в полном и бесповоротном шоке

  • geweldig!!!

  • Damn, this kid is sick!

  • das ist ja voooooooll geil!!!!! :)

  • Probably the most musical performance of the Tchaikovksy concerto I ever heard.

  • This guy has more talent than all pop stars combined.

  • WHO. IS. THIS. KID???

  • Unbelievable! Bravo!!!

  • Who is this guy ? He is not from this planet. He should play on every big stage on Earth before he goes to an other Galaxy!

  • I bet this dude has wicked micro skills in Starcraft.

  • Саня маладец,це фірма!

  • man this is sick, congratulations

  • What a genius !!

  • I must agree with LorenzoLassek .... sadly so ..... the so called "talent" that is spattered and spit all over the stages ... especially America .... Britney Spears indeed ...... and the rest of them ....

  • Этот ТАК legit! Где могу я получить одно из тех? И также, где смог я выучить сыграть его?

  • Genius ...nuff said

  • Bravissimo.....complimenti!!!!!!

  • this is beyond amazing...oh my god. On such a complicated instrument, and yet he's got far better control of it than many on simpler instruments! I reckon I'll have a fantastic day after seeing this, it's put me in an EXCELLENT mood!

  • g3nov3s3, your concerns with other men and their sexual life is becoming a bit suspicious. Please take your flaming back to the thread you came from. This one is for people who appreciate musical talent. You "observations" are not welcome here.

  • Most people use only 10% of their brain capacity. Now I know what the rest of the 90% is reserved for. Simply out of this world!

  • The other 90% are used for tasks we can't control, like heartbeat, digestive system, the growth of hair, etc.

  • @McKillaboy

    simply wrong

  • @rickypansen Read a book, it doesn't hurt.

  • What will it take to bring Mr. Hrustevich to the concert halls of western Europe and America?

  • gude

  • In 19th century it was unplayable. In 20th century nearly all the big violin stars came up with this concerto because its one of the hardest or even the hardest. And now in 21thcentury you freaky guy play this extrem hard violin part AND the big orchestral part on one accordion on an ugly stage instead of a great concert hall - and the people adore Britney Speares - poor world, absolutely incredible!

Most unbelievable part for me: 4:13 - 4:40

  • @LorenzoLassek Well, I admit he's a prodigy for playing this and you probably know this, it is a different kind of hard on the violin so it's kind of hard to compare the two.

  • @LorenzoLassek Very Astute Observation.

  • @LorenzoLassek AWESOME comment! It's so true hey! WAKE UP PEOPLE! BRITNEY IS NOT SKILL!

  • @LorenzoLassek Yes. And yes.

Thanks for the history of the piece.

  • @LorenzoLassek I really liked from 0:00 to 8:30

  • @LorenzoLassek Most unbelievable part for me: The whole damn thing.

  • This is the best playing on any instrument that I have heard in a long time. It's beyond inspiring. Almost makes me want to give up.

  • a boy with orchestra in his hands, absolutely fanthastic...

  • I want to marry you

  • God damn it, it's absolutely gorgeous!!

    太屌啦!!!

  • Пацан нереально шпарит и с душой!

  • Amazingly beautiful! *****

  • @MrKipW: with all due respect to Zubitsky (an excellent Bayan player) Hrustevich's interpretation here is much more fully orchestrated, more complex than the one on Zubitsky's site, and, IMO, displays a higher degree of virtuosity, and, well, musicality.

  • Absolutely amzing. Completely out of words now

  • Wonderful complimenti bravissimo********* Gennaro.

  • Is this Zubitsky? I got a track that sounds just like this from Classical Music Archives, and that's the name that was with it. Exciting playing -- a pleasure to listen to, and it's good to see his hands to reassure myself that it is one player making all the music. (Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto, third movement, for English speakers who don't read Russian. It probably says that back in the comments, but I'm too lazy to go look.)

  • 太不可思議了!

  • чел нереально крут

  • Just amazing.

  • Seriously!? MY NEW HERO!! This was so amazing! I didn't know that an accordion could have so many sounds to become almost like an orchestra! Magnificent job.

  • Muy hermoso. Saludos desde México.

  • Magnificent!

  • Truly extraordinary - what a star!

Wondering if the instrument is worthy of this kid's talent, though - not at all convinced by classical accordion and I say this as a free-reed player myself...

  • Great! Bravo.

  • Very, very, very good. Bravo! Played as a violinist would do it.

  • Damn good wow

  • simply amazing...

  • I know nothing of the accordion....and this kids videos are some of the most amazing things I've ever seen.

  • Интересно где учился Александр, на гнесинку не похоже, хотя как знать.......?????

  • Ukrainian National Music Academy after Tchaikovsky
