Yes North American Rockwell did originally create the B1. However I dont know much about boeing buying them but have heard of something like that. i'll do some research

Mate..get your facts straight..the B1 had its 1st Flight 7 YEARS before the TU...the TU has a better speed and greater payload..but B1 is far superior in Avionics and aerodynamics

Tu 160 is modification of Tu 144, Tu 144 Flight more than 7 years before B1, from walking out of this I think that b1 is a copy
