Yes North American Rockwell did originally create the B1. However I dont know much about boeing buying them but have heard of something like that. i'll do some research
@globemaster68 Boeing bought the North American aviation Operation from Rockwell, after the B-1's were built, I know, i was there building all 100 of them
Mate..get your facts straight..the B1 had its 1st Flight 7 YEARS before the TU...the TU has a better speed and greater payload..but B1 is far superior in Avionics and aerodynamics
TU 144...hmm..the one the concorde copied?..sorry but i cant see a REAL resemblance between the 144/160
although i can see where your coming from...but the US went from their Valkyrie project...as the 160 went from the 144..oh well..i still prefer the B1 =P
where did you get this information "..the B1 had its 1st Flight 7 YEARS before the TU" - bullshit man b1 is a copy.144/160 i ment similarity in technology.
one should post fucking VIDEOS on youtube.

The1AV8or 2 years ago
they don't have the blueprints, they just copied it from pictures, but the russkies missed a couple features like the canards.

Tu 160 is modification of Tu 144, Tu 144 Flight more than 7 years before B1, from walking out of this I think that b1 is a copy

Rockwell International was the major contractor for the B1-B and was later absorbed by Boeing.

The TU160 is a copy of the original(cancelled) B-1A. The Bone is MUCH smaller than both planes
