when you compare the roles from fear and loathing in las vegas and from dead man, you will see that he's a very great actor. He plays two totally different roles.
@TobiasSueess Not only Fear and Loathing and Dead Men, but also Edward Scissorshands (for which he studied Charlie Chaplin), the ninth gate and so many more...he is very outstanding. He considers Edward Scissorshands his best by the way and I would say so, too.
@TobiasSueess Great choice Mister Morizon, You're going to love it - but take a tip from an old man; never put off anything in life because you 'have a lot of time'. Even if you live to 100 ( and may this be the case) you still do not have nearly enough time to do all the things you should. Be lucky!
I heard that this music was made to this movie when they knew that it was going to be done. And then the movie was like made after how the music was. Johnny Depp looks very good in black and white!!! This movie does really emphasize his beauty. It's somehow like a tribute to him. <3
Not my favorite of Johnny but still a great movie . The music is wonderful and Johnny is just...hum... perfect. I saw it yesterday and first as i didn't know what to expect, I was a bit surprised by the style of the movie. But now I can say it's well done. Hum I love Johnny... It would be great to see him acting an indian. After all, he is cheerokee by his grand father I think...
Any one know how you can get a hold of this - its not part of the original soundtrack, but was released as an EP "Hold On Tight", I havent been able to find it anywhere!?
I person disliked this song. I guess he/she would have preferred Paris Hilton's singing on the soundtrack of one of the greatest westerns of all time.
@Cocarat206 Not sure I would go that far but I definitely loved this movie. What's eating Gilbert Grape was just about my favorite role by Depp. I doubt 90% of his fans know about this movie.
@Shan08rtts William blake was a 33rd degree mason.... Study Rik Clay..... NEW WORLD ORDER.... 2012 London olymics 11/9/2012... BUSH KNOCKED DOWN THE TOWERS.....
One of my favorite movie scenes of all time is when Thel is showing Wiliiam her paper flowers, and he's watching her, mesmerized, like he's seeing beauty for the first time.
The Doors (or at least Morrison) were definitely influenced by William Blake. Aside from the getting their name from the doors of perception passage in Blake's 'The Marriage of Heaven and Hell', Jim also used lines from 'Auguries of Innocence' in 'End of the Night'.

@ataEMMEata
The ancient tradition that the world will be consumed in fire at the end of six thousand years is true, as I have heard from Hell.
The whole creation will be consumed and appear infinite and holy, whereas it now appears finite and corrupt.
This will come to pass by an improvement of sensual enjoyment.
If the doors of perception were cleansed, every thing would appear to man as it is, infinite.
