Pathrazer of Ulamog isn't actually much worse than Kozelik, butcher of truth. If you look at the abilities, the Ahhnialator 3 causes your opponent to sack permanents. In this case, a 9/9 wouldn't be very wise to be let through, because the ability states it can only be blocked only if three or more creatures block it. Therefore, your opponent is more likely to sack his lands or enchantments so that he can stay alive. Kozelik, Butcher of Truth would just end up chump blocked and not as effective

yeah ok i agree with your point but your logic is flawed. annihilator activates on the choosing to attack. permanents are lost by your opponent any way he does it.

eldrazi looks to be soo slow, a red deck wins will probably give it alot of trouble, and the control decks, especially blue/white will do some damage on it. but then again, its still early XD

I like the idea of a slower enviroment, you can really play with a full mana curve and not be worried because your opponent's higher casting cost is 3 ¬¬

Man, Rise is gonna be the ultimate Timmy set. I've got this feeling i'll be running into new players that tell me "I don't put a creature into my deck that has power less than 9" Still, it'll be interesting to see if Wizards can manage to make any of the big fat eldrazi playable. Not often you see anything much higher than 6 or 7 mana making it into high level constructed play.

i'm not surprised that pathrazer is uncommon... it's not that good.... and sure there might be common eldrazi or other uncommon ones, but who cares? They all kinda suck (except for maybe koz but he's mythic and as good as they're gonna get and even he is questionable)... in order for eldrazi to be even a tier 2 deck, there is going to have to be some good, cheap spells with the spawn mechanic.

Having those 2 lands out wouldn't really make you pay six for Kozilek. You would need 6 normal lands to tap, and the eye of ugin, and the rumored one that taps for 2, so really it would require 8 lands to play it in that scenario. Still awesome.

I would think that it WOULD protect from Doom Blade or Wrath. It says "if it would be destroyed, instead", meaning it would replace the part where it would be destroyed with the new effect.

Could there be 12 Eldrazi??? Well, It looks like, according to the set numbers, 3 Eldrazi will be common, uncommon, rare, and mythic.

This also blows out of the water the colorless set rumor, But I think there will be a cycle of colorless spells. I would have liked Rebound to not have a "may-out" as the potential to have your board cleared would have been a nice balance. Maybe it didn't test well in R+D.
