Sonic Youth vs. Swervedriver:
OK, this discussion happened one year ago but I just want to share my opinion.
Everybody knows Sonic Youth is a key influence on Swervedriver's music. In fact, Adam Franklin told Melody Maker in 1993 that Daydream Nation was one of his favourite albums. So, there's no need to choose just one band because both are great. You can enjoy them simultaneously. Why not? I do.

wow this was the best sound i had lesten after radiohead!!!! epic..i think we will drink from thislake for inspiration..tx so much for sharing it, and feel free to support our original music.
i never heard from this band till 3 minutes ago someone left a msg at our original music channel saying that we sound a bit like this guys..i said who the fu***** is Swervedriver???...well now i know and im already a big fan!!!

I'm a lucky man. I've heard this song played live probably 15 times - and it's still not enough. Alongside, Sci-Flyer, Girl on a Motorbike & Duress pretty much all other music can go and flamboyantly fuck itself.
