Love the gloves, pity about the drive performance not matching. Next time if you're gonna put up a video, have some balls and stretch the Pug's handling. My mum drives faster on a Sunday on her way to Church!
I love my gti 180 but the suspension is hard as nails and the seats are a pain. But with my K&N induction kit and my longlife exhaust system it sounds like a dream :-). Flaming expensive to run but is the love of my life :-)
come on people?! you cant be serious discussing whos faster here??? obviously GTA is much more powerfull car! and if you pay attention at the driving skils, you'll see that Alfa is strictly in his lane, no cutting corners. while 206 is all over road, and falling back continiously.
Great vid! The GTA has 70 more horses so its credible for the Pug driver to keep so close, tho the Alfa does prove its punch where the road opens out. The GTA could potentialy be the quicker car across smooth black-top but perhaps the Pug has arguably nimbler handling. Great Roads! Been there, done that with Aussie Frogs - a memorable drive to say the least...
Love the Pug but I have a 156 GTA so I have an even softer spot for the 147. Was down at Reefton about a month ago with the Alfa Club and it was superb. Great Vid.
I made a big mistake last year and bought a Mk5 R32 with DSG, a very bad handling car and faulty gearbox. PX'd it for B7 RS4 but after 3 months and 16 shock absorbers I had enough. I now have a mint 20k mile 180 and have not stopped smiling since I bought it. Cheap fun :o)
@reedy111111111111111 Yea reasonably, it's the quickest Peugeot you can buy 0-60 is about 7 seconds but more importantly the gearing is very close which means in 5th gear you can go from 60mph to 100+ quicker than most cars. Also 1st gear has been extended to hit 40-45 in first gear and the car doesn't redline until 7,200 rpm.
Handling and brakes are awesome as well, they've got me out of trouble on more than one occasion :P
i had a 180 great fun but a pain in the ars to live with dodgy seats always getting stuck or releasing themselfs to hard suspension seatbelts always get stuck behind ur seats and no spare wheel apart from that it was fun not much can keep up with them on country roads do u have the same problems ?
Only thing I agree with there is the dodgy seats, they're great supporting but impossible to adjust! Suspension is hard but that's the price u pay for handling
@crabyars I love the seats, the seatbelt going behind the seat, maybe a little at first, learnt to just lay mine down along the rib support. My gripe is the front control arms. Can feel them giving too much after only 15000km wear. Have swapped mine out twice, looking to get them remade with urethane now...

Only two things to say. 1.)Peugeot = Fucking French crap, is always guaranteed to fall apart on you! 2.) 206 GTi 180's are bloody fast though :P

I love my GTI 180 but want to change car (to a VW Golf R32 3.2 DSG) as I've had my 180 almost 2 years.
The 180 is a fantastic car and there isn't much that compares on narrow windy country lanes but the car has a couple of downsides.
1. Would be better RWD/4WD
2. Needs to be Supercharged or Turbocharged (only if RW/4WD)
3. Needs 6 Gears, the ratios are so close (for great power in any gear) but motorway driving means high revs in 5th
4. Driving position (it's slightly to the left)
