You know what's really funny? I don't even like country, but Alan Jackson is anointed when he sings about Jesus. I'm really drawn to the words and something in my heart rings.
This is my 3rd Alan Jackson video. It's pretty unbelievable for me..
Are those knives in those words? RETURN TO SENDER.
I have done you no harm, why do you send evil with your tongue?
May what you say happen to you many times over.
May blessings be on the man who comes in peace and blesses and curses be on the man with a wicked heart. I pray for that to happen swiftly and decisively.
I pray for protection from the wicked tongue and the evil eye.
May swords encircle you and pierce you. May you be trapped in a maze of swords and they shall cut you as you grope. Swords shall not leave the man who are inclined to use them.
After 20 years in prison I know what freedom means. A prison school teacher told me God could change my life. Sara Groves great-grandmother told me God had a plan for my life. They were both right. He Did. 8 years later I married the prison school teacher, we've been married 31 1/2 years. Therein lies my case that God is Alive.
I see a very hard-hearted individual in the comment section. To you, I will say this... if I'm wrong believing in Jesus(which I have experienced too much to doubt His existence), then I have nothing to lose. However, if you are wrong, you have everything to lose. Think about it. Thank you, Jesus, for dying on the cross and saving my wretched soul.
@c44LuWanda Are you talking to me? What you suggest is called Pascal's Wager - and it is a very low and demeaning form of hypocrisy.
I don't believe in your god - that's it, no ifs or buts (because no-one has succeeded in producing proof) and I deny the holy sprite.
You, however, give the awful impression of someone who believes "just in case". Do you think you'll be able to convince "them" that you're sincere, and bluff your way through the pearly gates?
@StrumstickJoe No, I wasn't talking to you. However, once I paid close attention to your comments, I see where you might have thought so. We all have the right to believe as we want. God gave us that free will. I had no clue what Pascal's wager was and looked it up and see what you are talking about. When I made that comment I was speaking in the hypothetical for non-believers in general. But, please do not misunderstand me, I DO believe in Jesus. He is my Lord and Savior.
@StrumstickJoe It's all good. I didn't mean to sound offensive, but when I was talking about crass, I was referring to lacking sensitivity to what others believe and how it was worded. You said that what I was suggesting was the lowest form of hypocrisy. To me, that was very offensive, as what you were suggesting was not my intentions. I read awhile ago on a post that you said that some kids 'do not' have a choice. I understand your meaning on that, but under all the teaching and ...
@StrumstickJoe our upbringing, we still all have a free will. What we do with that free will as we mature, is up to us. It all boils down to a personal choice.
We are all born atheists, it is only by parental guidance and/other influences that we become locked in a faith.
Some come to believe as adults, but it is to the eternal shame of religious orders that they indoctrinate children habitually - some even (though the christains have lapsed on this) scarring their young with genital mutilation. Christians nowadays only use baptism and confirmation to capture the young.
@ewancummins "We are all born atheists" is not a statement of opinion.
The many muslims you know are all of an indictrinated opinion if they say that.
Those of the muslim faith, with very few exceptions, have it hammered into them from a very early age; but that does not alter the fact that they were all born atheist.
Religion is nonsensical, and the tenets of islam are dangerous and despicable.
Really, that's a very nasty, mean-spirited, and poorly informed thing to say. Do you even know any Muslims? They aren't all just a bunch of cartoon terrorists, you know. We're talking about a billion people with rich and varied cultural traditions.
'We are all born atheists' most certainly IS a matter of opinion. I happen to think your opinion is incorrect, but I'm not calling you 'nonsensical, much less' dangerous' or 'despicable' just because you are an atheist.
@ewancummins We are all born atheists. You need to study that statement carefully, word for word, and think about the meaning. I fail to understand what you find to disbelieve in it.
There cannot be anything dangerous or despicable , nasty or mean-spritied about not believing in something.
I do know muslims; lots of them; I teach them; work with them.
Check "three things about islam" on YT - that might help.
Unfortunately innocent religios give credence and support to extremists.
@StrumstickJoe And I know, that I know that Jesus Christ is Lord. I have no doubt and I won't have to 'bluff my way into the 'pearly gates' as you put it.
Respond to this video... --hard hearted=has been hurt. God doesn't hurt anyone. denial is just that. No one ever said being christian was easy.. What in life is? Christianity is a battle between God and satan.. let your guard down and satan enters.. Keep your life filled with God and evil has no place in your heart...GOD BLESS..
Christianity is a club of the wilfully ignorant. Your Bible is proof of its failure. It fails morally by sanctioning genocide, celebrating infanticide and tolerating slavery. It fails logically with self-contradiction, historical inaccuracies and downright lies. It advocates disbelief in this life as the only one, and promises an afterlife of tedium if you believe it, and torture if you don't. It is threatening and immoral.
@StrumstickJoe One thing I know for sure. You chose to listen to this song out of the thousands of songs on youtube. I can't help but wonder why. I am glad you are, though. True salvation can only be obtained through Him.
@StrumstickJoe Thank you, but I have my bible. That is all I will ever need. If you want a copy of the bible by e-mail, please let me know. I will be happy to share it with you.
This is just a sample of the words of wisdom and morality you can find in your book: Deut 25:11-12 Genesis 38:8-10 Deut 21:18-21 Ex 35:2 Lev 20:13 Isaiah 13:13-16 Exodus 21:20-21 1 Tim 2:11-12 Col 3:22-23 Luke 14:26 Deut 22:13-21 Isaiah 40:8
Now try explaining. It is immoral, illogical and contradictory. You demean yourself by believing any of it.
Don't just read the stuff that fits your view of the world - that is deceitful.
@StrumstickJoe As one who has read "the thing", your responsibility is to answer the following question: Who was Christ? Choices:
a) A liar
b) A lunatic
c) Lord
Explain the evidence for your answer.
Your posts here indicate you're looking for someone to "prove" you wrong. Doesn't work like that. Until you open yourself up to the possibility of (c) being the correct answer, you will continue to fail the test.
@StrumstickJoe Interesting. Joesephus, and a host of 1st century authors would dispute that. But, perhaps they didn't exist either, right? I detect that you're just a bored person having some fun here. Have a nice life.
@saludovencedores However much you might want certain parts of the stories to be true, you still require a belief in the supernatural which I don't have.
@StrumstickJoe - We could argue theories all day, which amount to the Unicorn argument. Am I really alive, am I dreaming. Parallel universes. Other dimensions. They are all theories. Much like BBT, still just a theory. We know space is expanding, but how did it start. Theory. Evolution on a grand scale. Theory. An intelligent person would reason there might not ever be proof. Either way until there is, we all have FAITH in something or nothing. Blessings to you.
@StrumstickJoe I will pray for you too! Jesus the name above all names. His name shall be called Jesus because he shall save his people from their sins. Jesus is the way the truth and the life no man cometh to the father but by him. For God so loved the world he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him SHALL be saved. I pray that you will come to your senses and see GOD and His Son Jesus Christ Crucified for the sins of the world. His blood Shed for you.
@deere3321 look m,man, dont waste ur sorrows on him, hes not worth it.. the bible says"dont throws pearls to swine", hes a pharisee man ppl hu look at the intellectual part of the word and debate on it. remember"1. god has hidden these things from d wise and intelligent and revealed em to babes"..2."gods ways r not r ways'.ppl hu harden their heart against god have no hope..jus remember"1 day every knee shall bow n evry tongue confess that JESUS CHRIST IS LORD". He will no tis 1 day.
@deere3321 Joelvis65says Don't waste your time with "him" (Strumstickjoe?) Dont cast your pearls before swine. He is a "Pharisee" people who debate the technicalities rather than the truth. God has hidden these things from the wise and revealed them to babes. Gods ways are not your ways people who harden their heart against God have no hope. Remember one day every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. One day so will Strumstickjoe. We will have to keep praying for him
@Triumphcarnut "Every knee will bow" is a very strange image indeed. The use of that phrase illustrates that you don't think about what you say; you just revert to early 17th century English for your reasoning.
I have not "hardened my heart" against anything. What nonsense! I don't accept that any proof or reason exists for a god; I ask for evidence endlessly on YT and other places - if any comes, I will join you (except, of course that I would never "bend my knee" and grovel to any entity)
@StrumstickJoe Most of the comments responding to you are well thought out intelligent answers even if we do use "old" English. You however continue to belittle other peoples thoughts. You are welcome to believe what you want. Or not believe whatever your head thinks is right. It is not my place to point out faults in any other human being, neither is it your place to ridicule or attempt to undermine other faiths or beliefs. We will always believe in the Lord Jesus you never will. Get over it!
@Triumphcarnut Unfortunately for your sensibilities, I think it is my place to ridicule and attempt to undermine all the faiths and beliefs.
Most of the most dangerous of them are based on abraham and his willingness to kill his son because of a voice in his head - what a wonderful basis for your moral guidance!
Your lord is a (probably never-existing) zombie -figure, and "believing in him" is weird.
A little kid could dish your religion, and many do.
@StrumstickJoe Getting a little wound up now arent you? Perhaps its my God getting to you? Maybe its your "intellect" failing. God bless you. May the Lord keep on "getting to you" My God will bring all to their knees you including you a proud hardhearted human being. Wise in your own eyes.
What place have you to ridicule anyone? You are here discussing religion with me, a stupid immoral sensless creature thats a rather stupid waste of time Just so you know,Id rather be me than you.
@Triumphcarnut I would not get on my knees for yours or any others deity.
It is the habit of all those of faith to think in terms of the rituals of times long gone, where subservience was your lot, and on your knees was the place you had to be.
If I were getting wound up, why on earth would you think that it was a mystical ghost "getting to me"? Paying me personal attention when there are 22,000 kids under 5 going to die today that he could be dealing with?
@StrumstickJoe - You do not ask for evidence on YT, you speak angry and condescending. Any hint of a belief in God turns the convo into a belittling one sided affair. I have seen you on other vids and on ALL of them you choose not to answer the points made. In fact, most of your posts add up to nothing more than someone who has skimmed the Bible without ever reading it. Every knee will be bow is simply that, everyone will someday recognize JC as Lord. How does that illustrate reasoning?
@gkasa4 "everyone will someday recognize JC as Lord." Really - how does that illustrate reasoning?
It's a rare thing for me to be angry (frustrated with "reasoning" that relies on magic, yes) because I think that "wrath" is the lowest of human emotions - which makes your wrathful god look decidedly weak and human-contrived.
The finding of evidence continues (for real things) apace - and what you mean is we might never have it all - like an asymptote that gets closer but never reaches.
@Triumphcarnut I wasn't even speaking to him and he attacked what I had written. And the scripture referring to not casting your pearls before swine came into my mind when I started reading his crass and disrespectful comments. When he said that he denied the Holy Spirit, I started praying immediately for him. And yes... his knees will bow along with the rest of everyone, you, me, past generations and future ones. I pray that Jesus will do to him as He did to Paul, so that he might see.
These comments combined with this inspirational music, lifts my soul to the lord. Christians know that THE ONLY WAY is to trust the Lord. We can't fight satan but THE ALMIGHTY can. Only trust HIM now. Thanks Allan for the timely reminder and to all fellow believers, hold fast till HE comes. Thank You.
Religion is religion and is a work of man. Man will let you down everytime. The spirit of the Lord that dwells in the hearts of those people who opened up to Christ can sustain you.
Note that believing in Christ is note solely the answer to man's ills. Satan knows Christ exists. It is the power of knowing that Christ can transform your brokeness into everlasting life and that he did that by dying in flesh on the cross and conquering death by rising from the grave. Live for Him.

@Brenda090775 Hi Brenda. It's not about being religious, it's about having a relationship with Jesus, loving Him and allowing yourself to realize more & more how much He loves you and obeying his commandments. Jesus said in the Bible, "Why do you call me Lord and don't do what I tell you to do?" God tells us in the Bible (his written Word) that we are to assemble together. Why, because their is strength in numbers and we each have something to share with someone else to encourage and help them.
I have been suffering with my bi-polar depression and anxiety and I know that I just have to trust in the Lord with all my heart and soul and lean not unto my own understanding and in all my ways acknowledge him. It's hard to do sometimes but it's what keeps me going. Bless you Alan
@mikeysnana I did not read the previous comments but Denise, both mothers (Alan's and Denise's) and their daughters are sitting in the audience. They show them several times during the concert. Watch the video of "I Want to Stroll Over Heaven With You" and you will see them.
@imHIVpositive Ooooh dear friend . . . please . . . please. rethink what you are saying. Surely you do not mean that? Give many folks an easy chair, TV and few oz. of feel good and you can keep them from Jesus and church. Friend, think this through. You have an eternal soul. You will live somewhere forever. You decide. Come home to Jesus. He took a nail for you (and me.) Jesus is waiting to forgive you.
Wonderful music and Alan is a great singer. Love hearing him sing. So sincere. And Adam and Shannon Wright were also awesome. This song gives me goose bumps. I love the Father and his son Jesus.
everybody, i have a prayer request. please.. please, please, PLEASE pray for what i'm about to ask you guys to pray for. my mom's co worker's wife is dying. she has daughters.. AND THEY ARE STILL IN SCHOOL! NOT GRADUATED! the doc's say she has about a year or less to live. please pray for God to heal her. she is dying from cancer. please pray, i mean this with ALL MY HEART. please pray for her. God Bless.
Trust in Jesus with your whole heart. He is the way, the truth and the life.
People are trusting in their pastors, denominations and church buildings. Trust only in Jesus Christ, the Son of God. He shed his blood upon that cross for your transgressions. Put your trust in Him.
I really liked your video and your channel. If you need any help getting this video or channel exposed I use a site called tubeviews.(net) It has really helped like 20 of my main videos get to the top in position. God Bless!

This is not Christmas Music. It's called traditional gospel. Taken from the old church hymn books. This is what we sang in the 50's and 60's in our small church in West Virgina. Good stuff. I recently started relearning and doing this type of christian music. Just plain and simple. Microphone and Guitar....
'Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus, And to take him at his word; Just to rest upon his promise, And to know, "Thus saith the Lord." [Refrain:] Jesus, Jesus, how I trust him! How I've proved him o'er and o'er! Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus! O for grace to trust him more! I'm so glad I learned to trust thee, Precious Jesus, Savior, friend; And I know that thou art with me, Wilt be with me to the end. [Refrain]

I wonder if Mr Jackson, or any of those in his audience, or any of the posters on this page know what sycophancy is.
The sweetness of the words and music of this genre, and the iconography of American christianity , on YTub and elsewhere, are completely sickening.
The problem is, their "innocent" naivety worships the same falsities as those who kill and die for their "faith".
The world could be better, but it will not progress well while the retrogrades of religion hold any credibility.

Evidence does not exist for a negative.

Even if you could, even if you had v.birth, miracles and resurrection, you would still be a long way from proving divinity & moral directive.

He will no tis 1 day.
joelvis65 6 months ago
@joelvis65 Sorry. I can't understand what you wrote???
deere3321 6 months ago
@deere3321 Joelvis65says Don't waste your time with "him" (Strumstickjoe?) Dont cast your pearls before swine. He is a "Pharisee" people who debate the technicalities rather than the truth. God has hidden these things from the wise and revealed them to babes. Gods ways are not your ways people who harden their heart against God have no hope. Remember one day every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. One day so will Strumstickjoe. We will have to keep praying for him
Triumphcarnut 5 months ago
@Triumphcarnut "Every knee will bow" is a very strange image indeed. The use of that phrase illustrates that you don't think about what you say; you just revert to early 17th century English for your reasoning.
I have not "hardened my heart" against anything. What nonsense! I don't accept that any proof or reason exists for a god; I ask for evidence endlessly on YT and other places - if any comes, I will join you (except, of course that I would never "bend my knee" and grovel to any entity)
StrumstickJoe 5 months ago
@StrumstickJoe Most of the comments responding to you are well thought out intelligent answers even if we do use "old" English. You however continue to belittle other peoples thoughts. You are welcome to believe what you want. Or not believe whatever your head thinks is right. It is not my place to point out faults in any other human being, neither is it your place to ridicule or attempt to undermine other faiths or beliefs. We will always believe in the Lord Jesus you never will. Get over it!
Triumphcarnut 5 months ago
@Triumphcarnut Unfortunately for your sensibilities, I think it is my place to ridicule and attempt to undermine all the faiths and beliefs.
Most of the most dangerous of them are based on abraham and his willingness to kill his son because of a voice in his head - what a wonderful basis for your moral guidance!
Your lord is a (probably never-existing) zombie -figure, and "believing in him" is weird.
A little kid could dish your religion, and many do.
StrumstickJoe 5 months ago
@StrumstickJoe Getting a little wound up now arent you? Perhaps its my God getting to you? Maybe its your "intellect" failing. God bless you. May the Lord keep on "getting to you" My God will bring all to their knees you including you a proud hardhearted human being. Wise in your own eyes.
What place have you to ridicule anyone? You are here discussing religion with me, a stupid immoral sensless creature thats a rather stupid waste of time Just so you know,Id rather be me than you.
Triumphcarnut 5 months ago
@Triumphcarnut I would not get on my knees for yours or any others deity.
It is the habit of all those of faith to think in terms of the rituals of times long gone, where subservience was your lot, and on your knees was the place you had to be.
If I were getting wound up, why on earth would you think that it was a mystical ghost "getting to me"? Paying me personal attention when there are 22,000 kids under 5 going to die today that he could be dealing with?
You have strange standards.
StrumstickJoe 4 months ago
@StrumstickJoe - You do not ask for evidence on YT, you speak angry and condescending. Any hint of a belief in God turns the convo into a belittling one sided affair. I have seen you on other vids and on ALL of them you choose not to answer the points made. In fact, most of your posts add up to nothing more than someone who has skimmed the Bible without ever reading it. Every knee will be bow is simply that, everyone will someday recognize JC as Lord. How does that illustrate reasoning?
gkasa4 5 months ago
@gkasa4 I ask you for evidence (for your weird, shaky and magical beliefs) here and now. Send it to me, and I will change my view in a second.
Some of the comments in reply to me are from intelligent people, but they all seem to have been duped.
The condition of being duped means you are unaware of it.
I was born an atheist, like you, but I never took the step into the unreal world of mystical, wishful beliefs.
(Some kids have no choice, I grant you - and that is criminal!)
StrumstickJoe 5 months ago
@gkasa4 "everyone will someday recognize JC as Lord." Really - how does that illustrate reasoning?
It's a rare thing for me to be angry (frustrated with "reasoning" that relies on magic, yes) because I think that "wrath" is the lowest of human emotions - which makes your wrathful god look decidedly weak and human-contrived.
The finding of evidence continues (for real things) apace - and what you mean is we might never have it all - like an asymptote that gets closer but never reaches.
So...
StrumstickJoe 5 months ago

Thank You.

The voice of your faithful rise up in praise to you even though they are burdened with the yoke of this world. Come quickly my Lord. Come quickly.

Trust in Jesus with your whole heart. He is the way, the truth and the life.
People are trusting in their pastors, denominations and church buildings. Trust only in Jesus Christ, the Son of God. He shed his blood upon that cross for your transgressions. Put your trust in Him.

This is not Christmas Music. It's called traditional gospel. Taken from the old church hymn books. This is what we sang in the 50's and 60's in our small church in West Virgina. Good stuff. I recently started relearning and doing this type of christian music. Just plain and simple. Microphone and Guitar....
