I have to admit that I really can't see why people have such a problem with this. Maybe they don't understand the concept of the Pledge campaign, or how tough the music industry is or how expensive it is to make a record, especially when you don't have a record company picking up the bill for you. I'm more than happy to support Ana.
She had been busy performing live, going all over the place. As her fans shouldn’t we be happy that her career is taking off? And not so much on us losing our entertainment on youtube? That she is no long a 16 years old making music in her bedroom?? I must say she did change over the year. BUT I love her first video as much as I love her newest one, because they still have her love for music in it.

@sadaharu27 "she met a guy, lost touch with her fans and became a sellout" I became a fan of her beginning this year, and the one thing that stands out MORE than everything else to me about her is how in touch she is with her fans, that she actually takes the time to interact with her fans. I am sure with the success she had so far she can be sign if she wants to, and just think about how much easier it would be for her not having to raise fund herself and to market herself. I hope you can see

Ana has stated many times that her fans are #1 with her. She is a kind and loving person, who tries to stay in contact with them on a daily basis on both Twitter and Facebook. She also gives freely of her time to support causes such as The Lisbon Oceanarium. All in all, she is really quite amazing .. :)
Ana's music has recently changed by her exploring both Pop and Dance Music. This evidently, will not be a wecome change to all of her fans. Yet, as an artist Ana needs to grow and try different styles and genres of music for personal development. She remains committed to her singer/songwriter base, and knows that this is where her strength lies.

I've been subscribed to Ana`s channel for more than 3 years and I must say that all I see is a girl following her dreams. I believe that only those who are able to see how important is for Ana not to be signed, will be able to understand the reasons why she is doing this Pledge thing. Those of you who are being super critical probably don't realise how difficult it is to build your own music career and how much time and effort goes into a good youtube channel. One word comes to mind "ungrateful"
@TheBathroomGirl I agree with you..Ana is extremely professsional in all she does, always takes time to connect with her fans. Yes, her music has changed( but she isn`t 16 any more) and my suggestion that is when Ana does a concert in your hometown or country, take the evening off and go and see her. What you`ll see is a great singer, songwriter and a talented performer. Ana and her guitar rock !
@gaivotawids Well said. When I’ve seen Ana in concert, there is one thing that can be frustrating – the concert has an end and you really do wish it was just starting over to watch again. The atmosphere is brilliant and her stage presence is stunning. Having had a memorable evening, you go home and think that was the best concert you’ve been to.

@EveM03 I agree..Ana is just the same. i went to a concert of hers in Lisbon recently and it was Ana and her guitar on stage.....a true acoustic concert only Ana can pull off..The audience loved it. .She then spent time mingling with her fans. Infact Ana dedicates alot of time communicating with her fans. She also gives back to her community doing concerts to raise funds for good causes. She hasnt just gone all commercial as it seems.
people: getting out of ones room and becoming more professional is not being commercial. I'm a very proud Ana Free fan and I've been feeling like this for the last 3 years and a half :) I've pledged and don't regret it! Love the videos she's prepared for fans. I'm proud of how far Ana has got without being signed and I think her strength, love, talent and dedication will take her far :) I'm on this trip and I'll always be :) Macarena
@EveM03 Well like you said, everyone is free to give their opinion. I've been subscribed to this channel for over 3 years now and have even purchased some of her music to support her. I'm honestly not impressed by it anymore and feel like it has gone commercial. Videos are released less often and view count has been declining for a while. Please don't get me wrong, I know every artist generally goes down this route eventually and I don't blame them but that doesn't mean I won't comment about it.
