You are full of prejudices. Maybe you will sometimes realize, that you can´t people classify into categories: Good or bad, german or english.... All people live at the same world and all homo sapien sapien people came from eastern africa. If I could, I would share my home with a neanderthaler. You are afraid that your image suffer from a bad criticism. I can understand that. But I think it´s not honest, if I write: " Oh how beautiful", when I don´t think so.
I think Kathry´s and Nialls version is great. She´s got a great voice, an he is playing the guitar very well, such way I like it to that song.
Morrissey & Marshall have both a good voice but not fantastically. It´s a good decision to sing it two-part. Therefore it sounds good in my ears!
@WrestlingCrocodilesn I don´t like this version of night visiting song and I don´t like this voice. If somebody find it will be good to make his singing public he should do that, but if I make something public I have to accept criticism. A bad or a good voice does nothing say about a person.
But if I had such a voice I would only sing at Bathtube
@regen1974 If you don't find telling someone to stop singing & playing, who now actually makes a living from playing music insulting, then you are a complete & utter goon. Playing guitar 16 years, trained my voice over the past year or so. I recently quit my job of 15 years to play music for a living & do just as well as when I was running amazing cocktail bars all over the world. This is my new channel & my voice has improved a lot since this video. I will do a new version for you to critique

So, und hiermit schließe ich das leidige Thema "night visiting song" ab. Es gibt leider nur wenige, die an L.K. rankommen. Manche singen eine ganz eigene Version und das ist möglicherweise die beste Lösung. Kathry´s and Nialls Version ist eine der besten. Sie hat eine fantastische Stimme und er spielt so Gitarre, wie ich es mir zu diesem Lied wünsche. Morrissey & Marshall singen das Lied zweistimmig. Das ist die beste Lösung, wenn man eine gute, aber nicht fantstische Stimme hat.
Ach ja, wahrscheinlich werde ich gleich blockiert werden, damit ich ja nichts mehr dazu schreiben kann, sowie bei "WrestlingCrocodiles". Wenn jemand zu "WrestlingCrocodiles" einen Kommentar schreibt, der ihnen nicht passt, dann hauen sie dir einen Blocker rein.
Aber ich werde mich trotzdem nicht mit Lobhudelei abgeben und meine Meinung weiter offen kund tun und es gibt ja zum Glück auch jede Menge gut gesungener Lieder, die ich positiv bewerten kann...
Wenn jemand nicht gut singt, meiner Meinung nach, dann schreib ich das, kurz und sachlich. Leider ist mein Englisch nicht immer treffend. Aber ich möchte den Engländer erleben, der besser deutsch schreibt als ich Englisch, den gibts zwar, aber nicht allzu häufig.
In meinem Land lebt man zumindest seit 1945 in einer Demokratie. In anderen gibts die vielleicht schon länger, aber danach leben ist eine andere Sache. Freie Meinungsäußerung gehört nun mal dazu.
Meine Kritik ist in der Regel sachlich und geht nicht unter die Gürtellinie, weil ich weiß, dass Kritik, trotz aller Wahrheit, weh tut. Wer aber ein Video mit seinem Gesang und ggf. noch mit Instrumentenklänge auf YouTube einstellt, muss mit positiver wie auch negariver Kritik rechnen.
