It's the only system we've got and I will take my chances with the Democratic party, who at least has a few good people who advocate for the people and not corporations.
I consider Pres Obama a man of fine character, also Kucinich, Weiner, Pelosi, Boxer, Grayson, etc. I can think of no GOP/TP lawmakers of the same character.
It's "Oh so IN" riight now to slam the govt, so keep your comments to yourself..if I wanted to hear them, I would attend a klan rally.

The Democrats passed financial regulatory laws, they passed equal pay laws, they passed health care: pieces of legislation designed to assist ordinary Americans, and prevent financial meltdown as occurred in 2008.
To say they are no different than the Republicans is blatantly false. It ignores the specifics. It treats politics as a silly game or a sport - it's much more serious than that.
In a two party system, you have to realistically choose one or the other

You, or I, or the next average citizen should have as much ability to influence a Congressman's vote as any corporation.

Because he knows that at heart, they could be good journalists and not be as partisan as they are. It doesn't matter how factual you are, if there's a known bias you're less likely to get the other side to listen. That's why when Anderson Cooper debunked the $200million/day myth, it was more effective than if Olbermann had.

The right wing of the US advocates the oppression of the weak and the disregard for human welfare.Their main concern is the amassing of wealth. The left advocates building a just, functioning society and knows that that just society cannot be accomplished when 2% of the population controls 98% of the wealth.
If we all started out equal, ok, but the wealth of the US has stayed in the same hands for generations & the cards are stacked.

If the bias that you percieve is defined by it's relation to another bias, how are you sure that it's bias at all?
It's a false dichotomy to think both sides are "equal" because they disagree. Its both more complex than two "sides" AND that they're "equal opposites."

Except it's the infighting that helps to make changes, because of if everyone just agreed with each other all the time, there would be no skepticism. I'd like to see Cenk use the TYT platform to maybe clue us in on other grassroots movements and how we can get involved, I'd like to see more activism and more activist guests, and maybe showcase more politicians that are doing the right thing but rarely get the spotlight.
I think most of us know things are very bad, now, how do we improve things? Ranting isn't getting the job done, but I suspect it's now paying the bills...at least for Cenk.

@lowenklee There won't be a sollution until there is a true grassroots movement from the local level. Corporations own us until people realize it is only we the people. We have to be involved and get to know who our politicians are. From the local committeeman, to the house,senate and so on. It's the only way, the citizenry MUST be involved and informed! Not letting the corporate media put the spotlight on the politicians who pay for the most publicity.
