  • Wait...Wait... I always skip these videos because I want to see the good stuff and not the usual self-opinionated bullshit ..but I just realized this 'Turk' guy actually knows what he's talking about...and I agree. Who Knew?

  • I like his views, independent minds should bring a brighter future

  • WHAT THE FUCK IS THE POINT OF THEYOUNGTURK?!?!?! WE DONT WANT YOUR COMMENTARY WE WANT TO SEE IT SO FUCK OFF YOU HAVE STUPID OPINIONS AND WASTE SPACE!!!!

  • @nicamy8988 I think you need a nap.

  • @ChocoboKnight7 nope i sleep fine w/o them thanks just dont understand the point of tyt

  • @nicamy8988 The point of TYT is probably the same as Fox News. To provide their audience with the news. It's okay to not like things (ex. TYT), just don't be a dick about it.

  • @ChocoboKnight7 even fox news shows what happened or their version of what happened or a re-enactment or something i mean tyt just talks about their opinion and thats it i would rather SEE as well as hear about it than just here some opinion on what happened w/o even getting a proper description of the incident. that wasnt being a dick about it i was just saying its a waste of space being a dick is a lot worse trust me

  • @nicamy8988 If you don't like TYT then why in the world are you even watching this video?

  • @rickrizzle47 i dont i click on links that say something in the news or something interesting and i click it and then its tyt and i dont want to have to read the uploader on every fucking video i click on i want to be able to tell the difference byt hte title like if they put tyt in the title then sweet i can avoid it and not complain but its a simple 3 letters they can add but no

  • well put Cenk... well put.

  • This Cenk Uygur has no soul....

  • @gypsyfrizz hahaha... why do you say that?? what a joke of a comment, lol...

  • Jesus, this guy loves Jon Stewart. Even when he doesn't agree with him.... he sorta does. This Cenk Uygur guy is the worst. No opinion of his own. He is the ponytail guy in Good Will Hunting.... but less charming.

  • ...COMBINED (which had never happened in the 3 networks' history)!

IDK...I just think MSNBC would be much more popular with both Progressives and Liberals now (admittedly it's target audience) if they'd gone that way instead. I mean, come on, letting Keith leave was a FATAL mistake, and shoving Cenk out was damn close to hammering a nail into their own coffin! I don't think they have many left to go...

  • God...I wish the corporate execs @ MSNBC had started to move the network towards more of a "Cenk/Ratigan/Olbermann/Seder/Hayes/Maddow/O'Donnell" direction than an "Al Sharpton/Maddow/Hayes/Ed Schultz/Matthews/O'Donnell/Ratigan/Bashir" direction. IDK...the first group I mentioned just seems to be a better, much more needed, much more popular direction to head towards than the second (which is the one they went with). I mean, remember Cenk's RATINGS?! He was beating CNN and FNC at that hour COMBI

  • @Antichrys Don't be an idiot. He said we all need to work on it together. One person trying to lead a fight would look just as rediculous as you made it sound. We alllll need to stop swallowing the shit & spread awareness. No leaders. Thats all.

  • he articulated my exact thoughts lol

  • I agree in the sense that there's more than 2 set choices. Especially in complex decisions that have an impact on an entire country.

  • I really don't understand how older people watch politics. Politics is just pointing out the problems of the other side and saying you can fix those things, and this goes on for eternity.

  • @SpikeRosered Pretty much, yeah.

  • CNN is a news organisation. Fox (FAUX) News is purely for propaganda. MSNBC is full of opiniotad assholes, but they show their true colors by broadcasting the news AND THEN noting their opinions on places, people, acts, etc, but not trying to HIDE THE TRUTH or DISGUISE THE TRUTH or tell HALF OF THE TRUTH.

  • @PalulukanMakto Organization.

  • What exactly is the point of the young turks? You guys are like narrators of nothing. Just play the clip, people don't need pseudo journalists to paraphrase the obvious.

  • For those that do not like this video you should recheck your core values, world view, and faith in humanity. Wake up! Our Republic has been hijacked by corrupt corporate leaders, corrupt bankers, corrupt military officials, and corrupt politicians. Thus, our nation is now adrift towards and abyss.

  • wow! its about fucking time this douch bag figured it out

  • lobbyist are,Banks and corperations!!!

  • As long Cenk is also against unions contributing to candiates fair enough....

  • @jpkm123 Then surely you should be against big businesses donating as well? Works both ways. In the UK the biggest centre-left party (Labour party) gets most of its funding from the unions, whereas the centre-right (Conservative party) gets it mostly from the city and big businessmen. Its a generally accepted fact Im afraid.

  • @binstig Unions arent businesses... did you forget? Unions are operated for and by those that fit into job description/physical condition/ethnicity (etc) x . Peace of mind isnt a product.

  • This is why if I watch the mainstream media, it's msnbc. They're liberal, but they aren't necessarily a propaganda machine for the democratic party. Fox news is a republican machine; plain and simple. You can see it when they support the war in Iraq, and now they support the Teabaggers; two conflicting ideologies. Cenk, and others on msnbc have been critical of the obama administration and rightfully so.

  • Why do people take The Daily Show seriously? its a joke. its on comedy central.

  • @homefry360 The irony is completely lost on you...

  • @homefry360 Because Comedy Central has more news than Fox News.

  • Ug, how did this guy get a show? He's correct but he's a windbag...

  • Change this title to "Cenk tells it like it is!"

  • Corporate donation and PAC money gut my vote by buying the vote of my representatives.

  • TheYoungTurds are Democratic Party tools.Just watching this shit lowers your IQ substatualy, but if your watching this your a dumbass anyway. It just makes dumb people even more ignorant.

  • @addderphor Bawww says the idiot

  • @addderphor Grammar, my friend.Grammar.

If you plan on insulting people and calling them dumb, at least learn how to spell ''you're'', please.

  • It is so sad because my Fellow Americans are morons. Instead of listing to Cenk they lick Rush's boots.

  • yes.

  • Social Security is the center piece. Just imagine if no one has those security as comfort zone anymore. How would you use it create damage to your political party?

  • Just creating new parties is not enough, time for people who are already in those two political parties to do some damages to the setup.

  • Another quotable quote by the Young Turk.

    Classic

    Keep it up man

  • The US should make corporate financing illegal for politics. They should cap individual donations as well. Canada did it and things are only better because of it, our politicians are only paid by taxpayers here and not corporations to do their jobs as it should be.

  • @01NiCk01

Stephan Harper is killing sovereignty. I'm out of work because of HST, along with many other builders. Big corp is destroying this little town of entrepreneurs.

  • @01NiCk01 Didn't the McCain-Feingold act limit donations?

  • only 100 percent right Cenk.

  • You're right Cenk. Now we just need someone to lead that fight. Won't you Cenk?

  • Great analysis man..

  • Look Jon Stewart i'm a fan but the right has moved into a mental hospital!!!!

  • I think this guy is 10X better than jon sewers

  • Cenk, I hope you know that your and Stewart's supporters on this one, are the right wing...Thanks, when we have you and Stewart on our SIDE (yes, SIDE..I'd rather be on ANY side versus the right) we don't even need a right wing. Thanks to people like you, singing Kumbaya, and Pres Obama actually thinking there will be compromise, the Dems are hopeless to make any significant change.

  • vote for a third party people, either be a libertarian party, green party or the Communist/socialist party. PERIOD!!!

  • cenko de alphabeto trying to act like he's an independent thinker, now that is funny.

  • IT COSTS HALF A BILLION DOLLARS (FROM EACH SIDE)

that's right, $1,000,000,000.00 dollars, to campaign for one POTUS position.

    follow the money my friend,

    then draw your own conclusion!

  • So how do we fix it? By complaining? Not voting?

If a Republican President gets in, he'll appoint conservative judges (not just to the Supreme Court but the Circuit Courts as well).

They'll make conservative decisions. They might repeal the ban on abortion, if it's challenged. More corporate money to buy politicians. Teaching creationism in classrooms.

There IS a fundamental difference between Dems and Republicans. Don't ignore it

  • Epic speech

  • Yes, both sides are playing us.

  • @FumingPoliticalPunk I was all prepared to insult you back, but I clicked on your profile and was so saddened by the horrible things others have called you, I wept for you. And then to have the TParty fuck you on top of all that, so sad.

  • It's the only system we've got and I will take my chances with the Democratic party, who at least has a few good people who advocate for the people and not corporations.

I consider Pres Obama a man of fine character, also Kucinich, Weiner, Pelosi, Boxer, Grayson, etc. I can think of no GOP/TP lawmakers of the same character.

It's "Oh so IN" riight now to slam the govt, so keep your comments to yourself..if I wanted to hear them, I would attend a klan rally.

  • @zenbrenzz 100 percent correct.

The Democrats passed financial regulatory laws, they passed equal pay laws, they passed health care: pieces of legislation designed to assist ordinary Americans, and prevent financial meltdown as occurred in 2008.

To say they are no different than the Republicans is blatantly false. It ignores the specifics. It treats politics as a silly game or a sport - it's much more serious than that.

In a two party system, you have to realistically choose one or the other

  • @zenbrenzz Yep. It's easier to look angry, and rant about 'both sides are evil', etc, than to go and DO something about it.

Corporate money has no place in politics. Yes, lobbying should be stopped.

You, or I, or the next average citizen should have as much ability to influence a Congressman's vote as any corporation.

It's not that way. But to CHANGE it you have to ACT. Not just complain! Which is all Cenk does.

Demoralising potential Democrat voters is a great way to encourage Republicans.

  • @jjmcreal Thanks..Maybe I won't call Stewart a sellout when he appears on Beck, Hannity, O'Reilly and Limbaugh's programs and begs them, in his condescending way, to stop being so partisan. I can just imagine how that would go.

  • @zenbrenzz He asks Maddow and co. to tone it down because he respects them enough to talk to them about it. Because he knows that at heart, they could be good journalists and not be as partisan as they are. He knows that most of Fox and co. are a lost cause, hence his Beck takedown episodes and mocking them almost every night.

  • @willisnomiko Just great...Kumbaya, Kumbaya..And the next time a John Kerry has his career ruined, we'll all say, "Too bad"

Next time a great agency like Acorn is ruined by the Fox machine, next time teabaggers spit on a black Senator, next time they question Obama being from this planet ,ETC ETC ad infinitum

If we play nice, Fox will follow suit and Santa will be here soon!,

  • @zenbrenzz Well, you do realize that no matter what people on MSNBC say, people who do believe these myths will automatically dismiss MSNBC's POV simply because of their outright left bias right? It doesn't matter how factual you are, if there's a known bias you're less likely to get the other side to listen. That's why when Anderson Cooper debunked the $200million/day myth, it was more effective than if Olbermann had.

  • @willisnomiko Yes, and I also know that CNN has reported outright Fox-manufactured LIES, due to pressure generated by guess who...Fox! Acorn, Shirley Sherrod, etc.

I DO see your point, but CNN will not have the guts to do what Olbermann does. And I WANT to hear someone else be as disgusted with the r wing shenanigans as I am. Voting NO on unemploy. benefit extension/YES to tax breaks for billionaires! CNN will not juxtapose these positions in a clear light like Mr Olbermann will.

  • @jjmcreal

well hes telling millions of people about it.

    i honestly think that's enough

  • The right wing of the US advocates the oppression of the weak and the disregard for human welfare.Their main concern is the amassing of wealth. The left advocates building a just, functioning society and knows that that just society cannot be accomplished when 2% of the population controls 98% of the wealth.

If we all started out equal, ok, but the wealth of the US has stayed in the same hands for generations & the cards are stacked.

  • Hasn't MSLSD learned that college liberals like Cenk don't bring in viewers? Geez. I'll stick with the guy who went to Harvard...

  • @retownsend that's your response to the argument he just presented? He didn't go to harvard?

  • @retownsend Thats because you're a retard. Enjoy being robbed.

  • Cenk is still a douche!

  • Cenk is a douche!

  • @southpore1 he's a shower???

  • You are one of the players that propitiate the left right para dine....Nice to here that you are finally coming around to what the whole world has been screaming for sometime... Maybe you can here us now!

  • I thought the shadow government had the technological power to block opinions like Cenks when they threaten the corrupt status quo as this thankfully tries to do?

  • there is only 1 politician who is honest , uncorrupted & capable. and you all know exactly who the fuck it is...(best yt ever)

  • its funny how he says that people are brought up that way and its perfectly fine and theyre not bad people, when he makes republicans out to be southeren rich racists who want to take over the country. cenk you made a very good point but follow through on this instead of attacking republicans the whole time. be neutral because you always lean over to the left

  • besides Ron Paul! He's not bought! woot

  • I'm not your biggest fan, Cenk, but those were some of the truest words I've ever heard anyone say...and all in two and a half minutes.

    Keep it up.

  • Why does Cenk look better on a lower budget set? Ratigan looks better on the TYT set as well.

  • Amen. Keep it up Cenk. Don't sell out.

  • Yeah Cenk!! Show them what the TYT Army is all about!

  • Bang on Cenk, finally some truthiness on TV !

  • That's good news. And I never thought about that young vote strategy. But he's going to need the young and the old for the next round. I wonder if his odds would have been better if he pushed for the health care bill in his second term. His pissed off to many conservatives. And frankly, its probably not going to make that much of a difference in the end.

  • jon stewart schooled msnbc!

  • Did he say the democrats think everything is going to be okay? The Democrats do not think everythings going to be okay. The democrats think that the Republicans are screwing everything up. Eight years of Bush policy is proof. And Obama might not get a second term because people are pissed he's not fixing things fast enough. If Palin becomes prez, I'm moving to another country.

  • @shocknyc Everything is playing into Obama's hands. Think two years from now: Who's going to debate Obama and win? He's way smarter than any of us AND any potential rivals. He does, however, have to get out the young vote - they're the reason he won in 08

  • @shocknyc " If Palin becomes prez, I'm moving to another country ". Good, and take the rest of your ilk of group think with you.

  • @chaumont20

Too bad Palin is too dumb to be president. She's only popular with her extreme right-wing nutters, who are even more stupid then she is.

  • @chaumont20 come to toronto :)

  • @chaumont20 You're an idiot. You can't even form a sentence. Bush had the same problem. You're part of the problem in this country. You'd rather elect someone you find attractive and stupid because you can relate to them versus someone who is actually smart and qualified to do the job. Palin thinks Africa is a country, it's a continent (which I'm sure you didn't know Chaumont). You want her in control of this country, your money and safety?

  • so then there is no such thing as news ,just left and right battles?

  • @midasman68 Exactly! The only "news" that gets reported is how Sarah Palin's daughter is doing on "Dancing with the Stars"

  • Hey Cenk, if you don't like being robbed, why support the gov't robbing us to pay for more and larger gov't?

I'd be a liberal if it weren't for their love of taxation/theft. You promote funding your own bondage.

  • @Amy31415 You just support the corporate taxation and theft of your money instead for the benefit of the few rich elite. That makes a lot of sense.,

  • @tubester4567

Ohhh tubey, you know me so well, don't you?

Of course I support rich people robbing me, why else would I gripe about you tax-happy chuckleheads?

That makes lots of sense.....if you're stupid.

  • amen

  • Leibowitz err Stewart the AIPAC crown jewel of media..

  • How can anyone trust what this Jew is saying?

  • I'm glad my family never tried to force me into a certain way of thinking. In fact, both my parents voted differently, and encouraged me to vote for whoever I wanted to.

  • speech of the year, most sense said on tv ever

  • John Steward soften his stance on Bush recently I can't trust him anymore

  • Politics in America is like a baseball game and a fake WWE wrestling match where both teams are sponsored by the same soda bottling company. No matter who wins or loses, the fans will buy a ton of overpriced sugar-water.

  • Jon Stewart was criticizing YOU Cenk.

I'm glad you consider this a war. This is a war you are losing badly. MSNBC is a fucking joke. One Whack job Lefty after another...

The best case for conservatism is made everyday on MSNBC. No I am not just talking about the Pervert Progressives on To catch a Predator.

    Maddow-criminally insane

Cenk-where do they find these freaks?

    schultz- pedophile

    mathews-pyscho-liberal-from-hell

    O'Dumbshit-self-proclaimed SOCIALIST "Have a Seat"

  • @JRCKFSH Liberals and Progressives consider Conservatives " enemies " but want to try KSM in lower Manhatten. Why is that ? Where is that learned ?

  • Tell 'em Cenk. I'm reminded slightly of the movie Network.

  • This is 100 percent correct. and nobodys gonna back his ass up on it.

  • Now this is the Cenk I wanna hear in MSNBC!

  • I haven't heard this view point before...

    sarcasm.

  • He's right. Both demorats and republicans are working under the sane agenda and that's for the New World Order (One World Religon). The bible propeticized this in Revelation. Accept Jesus in your life now people before it's too late! Jesus is coming!

  • @ak47CANNON You know what else was propheticized?

People believing loads of paranoid bullshit, like the NWO, for instance.

Laugh at the idiots before it's too late! Cthulu is coming!

  • I mean I believe in free markets but not when it comes to elections.

  • All politics is corrupt.

  • ok Cenk's quixotic populism is starting to annoy me.

  • Hell yeah Cenk! Best thing I have ever heard on a major network. Please keep it up!

  • Cenk sounds too much like he's reading. It's a little too sing-songey. On TYT he just talked. He never needed a teleprompter before and he spoke very articulately.

  • @DeimosSaturn Agreed, that's what drew me in in the first place. If I had never seen Cenk before this video, I'd be nodding in agreement but in no way lured in wanting to hear more

  • I think the whole reason why I appreciate Cenk so much as a commentator is precisely what he mentions this video: That he's neither a Democrat nor a Republican exclusively. I appreciate a person who is hard on the politicians, no matter which side they're on.

  • @darkridr25 Cenk has suddenly seen the light and sees the problem is with both parties wow. This long time mediamatters member is suddenly born again into this non partisan commentator. LOL

  • Yes Cenk, Stewart is right. And yes, he's talking about people like you!

  • for me... there is no issue before this!

  • Well said Cenk!

  • This will be shared internationally. Thanks Cenk.

  • Cenk = Conservative basher.

Does Cenk believe what he's saying?

No Taxes, everyman's home his castle, no death tax, keep all you earn honestly.

  • @chewbaca1989 There is no death tax dipshit.

  • @tokabowla

You sumbitch, it's called an estate tax.

  • Good point!

Our representatives stopped representing "we the people" a long time ago.

  • All you talk about is how terrible the republicans are.

And Fox tells us how bad the democrats are.

MSNBC and FOX are the same. Tell the truth Cenk.

  • @randomscience1 - False. If you think Cenk only bashes Republicans, you have not actually watched TYT.

  • @mnkittel I was talking about MSNBC and FOX.

    What is TYT?

  • @randomscience1 - The Young Turks, the show that Cenk started and regularly hosts. Check out TYT Nation.

  • @mnkittel I will.

  • @randomscience1 The only difference is MSNBC will admit they have a bias. But yeah, essentially the same thing.

  • @randomscience1

So there's no reason to believe in anything.

One side says the sky is blue, the other side says it's red so it must reallly be purple right?

  • @CavemanSynthesizer Of course not. It's Yellow.

  • @CavemanSynthesizer There's plenty of reason to believe in things. Just don't rely on only Fox or MSNBC. They have a slanted view that it quite clear. And they don't even TRY to hide it.

There's far more that those two "sides".

  • @randomscience1

If you accept that at least one news network is biased, why then do you assume that another news network presenting the opposite point of view is equally as biased? Wouldn't opposing biased news be unbiased?

If the bias that you percieve is defined by it's relation to another bias, how are you sure that it's bias at all?

It's a false dichotomy to think both sides are "equal" because they disagree. Its both more complex than two "sides" AND that they're "equal opposites."

  • @CavemanSynthesizer I judge it by the fact that some of the talking heads on a couple of networks donate money to candidates. How can they have them on their show and not be biased towards them?

    It's quite simple. Take care

  • @randomscience1

I see I'm not going to be able to convince you of my point. Its kind of abstract and judging by our countries politics most people don't get it. The only thing I can say is don't buy in to false equivalencies.

  • If a politician came out and proved that they were running on issues and taking no money from any corporations ( I don't mind lobbyists from unions) I would vote for them based on that

  • @hannahmobrien But when you have to pay first to begin with to run for house

2000 bucks for Senate 20.000 bucks

and thats just the beginning, then comes the campaigning, you need money

okay and money you get from lobbyists.

  • politicians need campaign money to advertise themselves and corporations buy them out

  • cenk is the fairest man in america

  • @dorkydevil except on gun laws...he's alittle silly on that stuff.

  • @m333tt Exactly.

  • People are saying he's just ranting.... but he's saying the truth. The whole system is corrupt. The teams are both corrupt, both bad.

  • Cenks rant was basically showing you how radical he is. He is so left wing that the center left democratic party isnt usually left wing enough for him. The rich have a huge impact on investment and private job growth with contribute to even more tax revenues, but if its a constant war than investors get warded off until better times.

  • @TomJackson986

Investors went to china because there is no way you can be cheaper than slaves with no rights.

  • Cenk just wants to keep his "Super Blabby" job and be well paid.

  • Until we get a viable 3rd party (and no, the tea party does not count) I'll keep staying home on election day.

  • Ugh how many times does a brother gotta reiterate that DEMS AND REPUBLICANS are both two cheeks of the same CORPORATE behind. How about we support grassroots movements that do not subscribe to these parties and call for a true representative democracy?

  • There are too many stupid people in this country... That is why the democrats keep lossing... There are more liberals than crazies, but democrats, for the most part, are smart people that will stay home on the day of voting if not happy about their goverment. For the most part, they won't vote republican, although some times they do.

  • Fuck family identities, let's be smart.

  • It bothers me that many people don't want to speak out about the problems with the party they support, because they're worried about infighting. Except it's the infighting that helps to make changes, because of if everyone just agreed with each other all the time, there would be no skepticism. And without skepticism, there would be no good or bad decisions, just decisions.

  • Boy, these partisans won't like to hear that Cenk. LOL

  • @NoPartyAffilliation

Maybe, but I personally would rather hear something useful rather than the same naive, banal, and impotent ranting that has increasingly come to define Cenk's monologues. Politics is corrupt? How unexpected, thanks Cenk.

  • @lowenklee

"personally would rather hear something useful"

    Such as?

  • @Shadowlit001

I'd like to see Cenk use the TYT platform to maybe clue us in on other grassroots movements and how we can get involved, I'd like to see more activism and more activist guests, and maybe showcase more politicians that are doing the right thing but rarely get the spotlight.

I think most of us know things are very bad, now, how do we improve things? Ranting isn't getting the job done, but I suspect it's now paying the bills...at least for Cenk.

  • @lowenklee well Im sorry your partisan sensibilities got butthurt but the truth is simply the truth. You aren't going to change anything, Republican or Democrat until you get campaign finance reform. As long as we have the current system we will go through the same kabuki dance every 2-4 years.

  • @NoPartyAffilliation

You're an idiot, you think it's some big secret the majority of Americans aren't aware of that our political process is corrupt? You think you and a select few retards embittered by the political process have suddenly learned something the rest of didn't already know? Once again, you're an idiot.

Of course all three parties are corrupt, on to the next point of business for fuck's sake...like, I don't know, maybe how to pass campaign finance reform?

  • @lowenklee There won't be a sollution until there is a true grassroots movement from the local level. Corporations own us until people realize it is only we the people. We have to be involved and get to know who our politicians are. From the local committeeman, to the house, senate and so on. It's the only way, the citizenry MUST be involved and informed! Not letting the corporate media put the spotlight on the politicians who pay for the most publicity.
