The reason there is eternity after this physical life is because we are created in God's Image. There is a SOUL that exists which is mind+emotions+will. This soul never dies, even after the physical body is gone. Therefore, dear neighbors THE MOST IMPORTANT DECISION IN THE UNIVERSE is to carefully plan where your own soul ends up after physical death. God does not lie. He is Holy so it's impossible for Him to lie. Hebrews 6:17 - 18
