RECOVER Ruined Blackberry Curve using Command Prompt

My Blackberry Desktop Sofware Can't Commuunicate With my Blackberry Device (curve 8530) everytime it start to load it stop ,starting with a red light blinking start to load and stop I would like to know how to fix it using window 7please Help?

My Blackberry Curve 9300 is on the fritz

Used the map finder app to locate were i was supposed to go, found the location, quit the app and then locked the BB and put it back in my pocket. Took it out about half an hour later when i was on the coach and it was off which was weird. Tried turning it back on, tried taking the battery out and nothing! not even that red blinking light shown on the BB in your video. Its like its just died in the space of half an hour.

Any suggestions/ what can i do?

This is what mine does I hope you can all help me. One day for no reason my phone had full power then it just turned itself off. so I did what any good person would do. I put it on its charger. now once I did that the red light would come on. Then the phone would power on show the hourglass then go to a white screen glitch then turn off again. then it would repeat the cycle. it's doing it RIGHT NOW! and its pissing me off cause I was in the middle of a call when it turned off.

@HazMatVideo Now what Ive been doing is i let it keep rebooting over n over for hours on end until it evantually charges then once its charged i can use it but after i take it off the charger about 20 minutes later it does it again. so for about a whole week i kept it on the charger and then i took it off for about 2 minutes to move to another outlet cuz i was talking to someone on the phone and then it shut off on me. so i tried to do what i usually do and now its been a whole night turning it

Umm, this is not recovery. This is wiping and reinstalling. "Recovering" means recovering data, settings, and the like.

it works, but my problem was I had a password protector, and i had too many failed attempts, even though I knew most of my password, just not the special characters when I was in my device manager setup

I've tried the reset factory settings with the jl_cdmer but says at the last stage - unable to open port. I still however proceed to use command prompt & the apploader but just when i see the process starting and I think GREAT: it tells me it is unable to connect and to enter password if necessary or reconnect the device.

I'm flustered... Any suggestion?

Hello all,

I have a blackberry 8310 and in the past when I got a text or a missed call my LED red light would blink. I enjoyed the red blinking light. Now all of sudden my red light has stopped blinking. I have tried and done almost everything in settings and in profiles, even got the green light....but still NO BLINKING RED LIGHT.

Maybe its not blinking anymore because usually I am fast to respond to the text? Please help

I managed to get my hands on a blackberry 9000 and i have tired everything possible to restore the phone but nothing i do is working. The problem with the phone is, it's not turning on but when connected to the computer it keeps restarting non-stop. I tired restoring the phone without the battery attach and yet nothing happened. When connected to the computer, red light comes on and then the screen comes up with the battery icon showing up as charging and that is it. it then keeps restarting

with the constant reboot you need to do it this way.

you have to keep retrying until it works - timing is everything

when i tried to upgrade to the 4.5 OS it did the constant reboot and so I did the JL CMDR wipe (see the video for that) and once I did that the phone was blank so since it wasn't rebooting I was then able to do this next.

have you opened the folder?

Open the folder. If it is not there, just re-download it, or download from a different source.

If it IS there, then you need to see how you got to the folder, and change the command prompt commands to navigate to the appropriate folder.

your issue may simply be theme-related.

Try changing your theme to the original, and see if that fixes it., When you change your theme back to the one you have now, all your settings will be restored.

I've been trying to repair a water damaged BB. Have an existing BB to check cables - OK

batt - OK.

Can get the damaged BB LED to flash GREEN when pressing buttons - takes a few minutes before that happens though. I've followed the instructions posted here and cannot get the directory to change to apploader. I search for NOJVM on HD and cannot find it. The software from BB is current - July 17/09 - only 5 days old. I've tried the install on XP and Vista with the same results. Thoughts?

yes. your bb is broken. if you try to use it when it is water damaged, it is ruined permanently. If you bought a water-damaged one off ebay or somewhere, thinking you can fix it, you just got scammed, that's all.

don't worry, it's never fully dead if it's only a software issue. If you didn't physically harm the phone, it should not be a hardware issue, so no worries. good luck!

by the way, for this command prompt one, you should have already erased the blackberry to the 507 white screen using jl cmder.

HI The reason it does not initialize, is because you need to PLACE THE BATTERY BACK IN OR IT WILL NEVER INITIALIZE.

I capitalized that because it is a common mistake and is very important. It will not initialize without the battery in.

okay so if you have windows XP, then the path is different.

The way I typed in Command Prompt, I navigated to the folder.

To find the path in Windows XP:

First, navigate to Research in motion.

Then, starting with your drive letter

(for example, C:\ )

enter the folders it takes to get to the Research In Motion folder.

Follow the same instructions as in the video, only changing the folders between your drive letter and "Research in Motion".

For example, if XP has the "Research In Motion" folder directly under "C:\Program Files", then you would skip the "Common Files" step.

I do not have XP anymore, so I can't tell you exactly what the path is, but it should be easy to find.
