hate to burst your bubble but squeezing lugs with your hand, especially a gloved hand doesnt assure your lug nuts are secure. Also molesting your tires doesnt assure the tread depth is legal, granted the tires are obviously fine, it isnt teaching your prospect drivers anything by teaching them to "pet" the tires. Also how about a $1.99 pressure gauge to check PSI instead of a LIGHT kick on the BOTTOM of the tire. Kick/bat the TOP/SIDE of the tire, and if your unsure use a gauge.

Yeah I really enjoyed the pre-trip. One of my students came to me with this and I pointed out everything he was doing wrong. What type of idiot would use an hatchet to check tire pressure. This video i will use to show all my students what not to do. What a joke. this instructor should be removed.

I have no idea why people pay thousands of dollars to learn a class a pre/post trip inspection. It's such an enormous waste of money. This is how I did it. Go to Road Wars.com they have the exact questions that will be on the permit test and its 100% free with no signing up for any thing.  Second watch the pre/post trip inspection part on youtube. Then rent a tractor trailer for a couple days drive it around and then take the test

And work on your 45 and straight line backing for a day are two our if you really good at backing than just work on your shifting and clutching. I paid $20.00 for the permit and $250 plus fuel for the two day truck rental. good luck yall

I graduated from New England Tractor Training School NETTTS and all I can say is this guy is doing ok but not good enough.I don't know how he got hes license.But I have respect for the guy..

Unfortunately the government of Ontario can do very little to stop this with an audit. Not sure if you'd remember it but Alex Pierson of Global news did a mini documentary on this type of thing and it was only then that small measures were taken by Ottawa to shut these places down. I actually had the pleasure of being her trainer for that series and you'd be amazed at the information that couldn't be published due to legal complications.

Contact any local TTSAO school and they can verify my ability to instruct an industry certified PTI.

With clients including the RCMP , OPP and students from various TTSAO schools where I taught there's no doubt in it's content. As to why it's not posted on YouTube, the legal costs for posting training material on a public forum didn't couldn't be justified by the association. This is the same reason similar material isn't posted by the OTA or OSL.

There are so many things wrong with this video it's not much wonder why we have the types of drivers on the road that we do now. Dirty gloves on the door handles? Wearing sandals around a commercial vehicle? Virtually no engine check . Potential grease transfer from the gloves to the inside of the belts.....and the list goes on. Even the date on this video is way off when you compare it to the annual inspection sticker ! The sticker expired in 2008 !! Pretty poor example of training.

@M1E3P2 great observations, I watched it again after reading comments by M1E3P2 and he was right on the money, he could have also commented on calling the frame for the mudflaps being called the "bumper". I appreciate anyone that makes a video to help new truckdrivers but this goes to show that you need to read the DMV commercial handbook for all the items that need to be checked. anyway..please drive safely and for gods sake pull off the road and rest if you get drowsey, Thanks!
