Pocahontas County.Beautiful West Virginia. Standing on top of Snowshoe mountain looking westward. Only place in the south that looks exactly like home here in the Catskill mountains of New York. Same climate too.

Amazing video. Really shows the beauty of my favorite part of WV. I was just up there this weekend, staying at a camp in Durbin. It snowed four inches Saturday night and Sunday morning. Nothing like snowfall in the mountains of WV.

Tom Shipley of the Sharp Family Farm just won the battle aginast eminent domain against Pocahontas County in cahoots with Snowshoe. An historic event. Wonder which sucker they'll go for next (of this I am certain).
God bless the Sharp family for fighting the good American fight! They make me proud of my American mountain roots. Pocahontas County is lovely and it's NOT FOR GRABS!
