You know, the 'melodic contour' of that first passage Rosen plays *makes sense* to me. It's lyrically comprehensible, and would have a distinctly different, emotionally different, character if some pitches were different. **
Such complex music from an unpretentious man. Unlike the bitter "uncle milty" who is so articulate in damning the future of music.
