Actually, for those who are arguing down there, babies with this condition die naturally after a few days or weeks because their bodies can't survive. And as for "raising this child", even if it could survive, it's brain is so abnormal it can't even process thoughts the same way as a human being, it would basically just be the equivalent of when people become brain dead (vegetable) and live on life support alone even though there is no actual point in doing so. I was under the impression that was the child's innards showing through a thin layer of skin and really bloodshot eyes, but it wasn't really a founded hypothesis or anything.
