I live in Japan and until the 70's, Japanese didn't eat much western food (almost no meat) we had the longest living rate, now people are getting cancer in their 20's. Just because River did illegal drugs doesn't mean that everything he says is wrong. He was impressively smart for his age. He is talking about an issue that scientists are starting to realize 20 years ago, do some research. Donahue is being arrogant because he's not aware of the issue OR he supports the money digging pigs.
What these 3 are saying is very real. Meat might be good for you if the animal is healthy, but the meat we all eat daily are from animals that are drugged, caged, and fed shit everyday.. not to mention the amount of stress these animals go threw. Then after they are killed they add more chemicals to the meat for color and "freshness" THAT is what you eat.

The traditional Inuit diet is all meat and theyw ere healthy until adopting an american diet. You cannot deny that our ancestors evolved eating meat. It's not the meat and dairy that is bad, it is the hormones and other stuff that is injected into the animals that is bad.

In order to avoid heart disease you have to eat more good fats than bad and low carbs.
It's strange and sad that Raul would die of a stroke at the age of 54. I thought that you would usually suffer a stroke in your 70s or 80s? Weird.....
@Theblizzardking you do realize he had stomach cancer at the time of his death and underwent surgery for it in 1993. He contracted food poisoning from the sushi and his condition worsened. It most likely wasn't properly stored by caters or assistants. He actually died from a brain hemorrhage brought on from a stroke.

What I can't stand about this video is the HYPOCRISY; Phoenix (and Bonet) are both condemning the common American as being superficial and not caring about our bodies and the environment etc., yet they are both known recreational drug users. ANd, of course Phoenix later died of that drug use. In addition, it appears evident to me (and should be evident to most) that he is wasted in this clip.

Lisa seems to have a good heart. She is so weird though. Always was. Being biracial she has even more problems.She stayed true to her hobo/bohemian look. @Fodderingham Meat and dairy are good to eat. Meat is nutritionally dense. The Massai eat TONS of meat and dairy and they are very healthy and grow to be over 6 feet tall---even the women. The traditional Inuit diet is all meat and theyw ere healthy until adopting an american diet. You cannot deny that our ancestors evolved eating meat. It's not the meat and dairy that is bad, it is the hormones and other stuff that is injected into the animals that is bad.

Also, factory farming is incredibly cruel.

It's my understanding that the only plant source of b-12 are some seaweeds, but that b-12 they contain is actually inactive b-12 analogues, so they are not well absorbed by the body at all and so are useless. Same with non-heme iron in plant foods, this type of iron is not well absorbed by the body so a person would need a lot of vitamin C at the same time. What about DHA and EFAs? In order to avoid heart disease you have to eat more good fats than bad and low carbs.

@Theblizzardking you do realize he had stomach cancer at the time of his death and underwent surgery for it in 1993. He contracted food poisoning from the sushi and his condition worsened. It most likely wasn't properly stored by caters or assistants. He actually died from a brain hemorrhage brought on from a stroke.
