Some People say its about the singer when he was on drugs but it's about allen collins the guitarist. He was drunk and got in a car crash and was paralized from the waist down. He was fucked up enough that he could'nt play anymore, so during the shows he came out on stage in his wheelchair and talked about alchohol and drugs. A few years after the crash he died in a hospital of pneumonia. RIP allen, you're an amazing guitar player.
