  • I got here from the Green Mile. Also, i wish this were in Fallout 3!

  • Al's voice fits this so well :)

  • Fucking trolls...

  • @firestar3641 Which perverts are doing that?

  • F*cking creepy D;

  • My father who was born in 1932 would always sing this song when I was a kid. For years I never heard the actual song until it was in 'The Green Mile'.

  • @357magchicken this song was written in 1933, so you're dad would of know it . I like bing Crossby better.. I frist heard it in " Lady in white"

  • @thds699 "your dad", not "you're". "You're" is short for you are, which wouldn't make sense.

  • First time Iever heard this song was in a Popeye cartoon.

  • Wonderful song .

I'm so glad that somewhere like youtube keeps his music alive for everyone to appreciate and hopefully take his sentiments to heart.

  • @urracal amen to that! i love this kind of music

  • this is a scary song :)

  • Great song, love Bing Crosby's version in the movie Lady in White.

  • This is what I call music....so soft....such a love song

  • Classic

  • Brings back my childhood memories, and a better era.

    Thanks

  • Al Bowlly was killed in a German bombing raid in England early in World War II.

  • @hebneh He was killed in the London Blitz in 1941 singing with Snakehips Johnson at the Cafe de Paris

  • @candw87 No he wasn't - he was killed in his apartment at 32 Duke Street (at the side of Selfridges) when a German parachute mine detonated outside and blew a door clean off its hinges, hitting his head. He'd been performing with Jimmy Messene in High Wycombe and decided to head home on the last train.

  • @bigbearleeds lf you say so

  • @candw87 I think you'll find that's what happened whether I say so or not. Don't try to pin the blame on me by using some kind of retrospective causality argument. I didn't cause that bomb to go off 70 years ago just by mentioning it here.

  • Just love in song it's so simple but right straight to the point.!!!! They just don't wright then like the use too..what ever happen to romancing your lover.,??

  • @getnervousedy They still do, they say "shake yo booty" or "lets f**k". Well, thats today's romancing, at least.

  • A very nice version of this good old tune. If you get the chance, check out Lombardos version from the 30's with Carmen singing- real sweet.

    Thanks for posting this

  • I love this one also, I just love the old t imes:) so much cleaner than now..

  • I just love it!!!!!

  • Yippie ... first to comment ... I love this song, thanks for posting ... I glad that I actually like and understand this old music.

  • @123Larra

Why would you not understand it? Are you Dyslexic or Nigerian?

  • @Ravenmongoose Since it said that it DID understand it, it was obviously neither dyslexic nor Nigerian (dyslexia is not a country and needs no capital letter). For someone who champions gay rights, I'm very surprised at you for making such a petty snipe. Larra123 closed its account after that and I can't say I blame it. I'm further incensed by your lack of respect for the galactic phenomenon known as Gaga ... next you'll be accusing the late pillbox Houston of having a voice like a foghorn.
