KnightZfire - The reason God sacrificed His only son, was to show His unending love for all of mankind. How much of a sacrifice would it be if he gave someone else's child? As far as the mode of execution, cricifiction was the mode of execution at that time. It caused a slow agonizing death. Once again, it was part of the sacrifice that Jesus made for you and I. As far as God having another son, it would take away from the sacrifice if he gave one of His sons. He gave His ONLY son.

Well guys I have a question:

If jesus was the son of "God", then why would God Sacrifice his ONLY son to remove the sin ? Why wouldn't God protect him and make someone else sacrifice?

Also, if Jesus was killed ,say, by a shotgun (Just for the sake of argument) not in a cross, will the christian wear a shotgun medals and necklaces ?

Last thing, if the God likes to have a son then why don't he have another? Why he wouldn't show us his mother and father then?
