@btardstudios You're welcome! I don't quite see why you'd feel such need to ask me if you were so certain already to not learn it. Why didn't you just pass by the video then. It's okay, though. Many of the people a part of my channel never thought they'd want to learn Swedish but they fell in love with a Swede or have Swedish relatives/friends and wish to impress and communicate with them, which I find very sweet. Not all people speak English and that people care for Swedish is wonderful.

English is a lingua franca so it's definitely useful to know that language, but Swedish is only spoken by some 10 million people and I don't even know anyone who speaks Swedish, so I have no motivation to learn it. Hypocritical and absolutely useless...and you can't learn Swedish by merely memorizing words. what about explaining the structures of sentences and tenses etc... go to channel SpeakSwedishStupid and you'll get useful information on how to learn and master your swedish.
@Sukinydeti You really misunderstood me, dear. I do explain. Especially in grammar and structures in my iPhone and Adroid applications. Most of my subscribers are asking me kindly for phrases and words, and they matter to me for they are the ones who created my channel, and made it come to life, with me. What I am teaching obviously helps a lot of people who are indeed practicing this language, which is my native language. There are lots of videos on the way, and a lot of grammar. :)

I also have a request. I've heard that Swedish is a tonal language, and the tone/pitch and rhythm which you use in your pronunciation can affect the meaning of what you've said. So I think it'd be cool if you made a video focusing on the rhythms and tones/pitches of Swedish.

Your videos are really great! I was just wondering, do you have a region-specific Swedish accent? I'm only asking this because I've been told a number of different ways to pronounce certain words by a lot of different people and none of them are the same!
E.g. Jag (either with or without the 'g'), själv (either with an English-style 'sh' or the German 'ch'), and De (for 'they'- either as it is writter or 'dom').

@custardispeasant Saying "Jag" with a silent g is quite common but it's a sloppy way to pronounce the word.
"Ja(g) va(r) nere o(ch) handla(de) förut" everything inside parenthesis is silent and is typical laziness in the pronunciation here in Gothenburg. Just ignore stuff like this and pronounce/write it correctly.
@rawmonkno1, wow, well done! Thank You so much for writing this comment. People, even "professional" teachers complain about how I should NOT teach "Jag" with a G, and that to me is just crazy. At least I tell people, like you do too that most Swede's do not pronounce the "G" etc, but that's what we call sloppy, I guess. No offense, hehe.

I was talking to a swede the other day, and she taught me a more informal way of saying 'hey how are you' but I can't remember all of it... do you know what that might have been?

Hej. I like your videos and find them interesting, and I'd like to say thanks for making them.
I also have a request. I've heard that Swedish is a tonal language, and the tone/pitch and rhythm which you use in your pronunciation can affect the meaning of what you've said. So I think it'd be cool if you made a video focusing on the rhythms and tones/pitches of Swedish.
Thanks again. As someone who's learning Swedish, I find your videos very encouraging.

Your videos are really great! I was just wondering, do you have a region-specific Swedish accent? I'm only asking this because I've been told a number of different ways to pronounce certain words by a lot of different people and none of them are the same!
E.g. Jag (either with or without the 'g'), själv (either with an English-style 'sh' or the German 'ch'), and De (for 'they'- either as it is writter or 'dom').

@custardispeasant Saying "Jag" with a silent g is quite common but it's a sloppy way to pronounce the word.
"Ja(g) va(r) nere o(ch) handla(de) förut" everything inside parenthesis is silent and is typical laziness in the pronunciation here in Gothenburg. Just ignore stuff like this and pronounce/write it correctly.

@rawmonkno1, wow, well done! Thank You so much for writing this comment. People, even "professional" teachers complain about how I should NOT teach "Jag" with a G, and that to me is just crazy. At least I tell people, like you do too that most Swede's do not pronounce the "G" etc, but that's what we call sloppy, I guess. No offense, hehe.
