The more you listen to it (as with many songs) the more you appreciate it. The song sounds almost mournful in comparison to the original which sounds somewhat cheery. Metronomy are pretty amazing for managing to make this sound upsetting i think the message comes across alot more clearer in this version. Good stuff.

This is my favorite remix of a Lady Gaga song. Metronomy took the cheap sounding album version of "You and I" and made something ten times better. I hated what Gaga did with the original and these guys gave the song feeling and (dare I say it) depth. I've seen a few comments criticizing this remix for being too dull but whoever thinks this song is boring does not understand what was created. Great fucking job Metronomy, they seriously turned this song from nothing special to something fantastic.
