  • This is a great review. I can't wait for my bass to arrive. Did you have to have a setup done or did it come from the factory ready to play?

  • @casimer

What kind of strings and what gauge are they? Great playing btw.

  • @dslapster64 Thanks! They're standard gauge, stainless steel Elites

  • @casimer just saying but i like ernie ball power slinky strings on those but thats just me

  • I heard that the maple neck's get dirty more easily...is that true?

  • @RaffaBass95 OH NO. The rosewood ones get dirty very easy due to their large grain; but with this, even if it was unfinished, there will be very little dirt or skin oil build up. With a neck like this or a Rickenbacker where it has a finish I can hardly see anyone ever needing to anything more than wiping a paper towel on it to get the skin grease off of it.

  • I just wanna ask you, is that a pre-ernie ball sound ? or a classic 2 band sound ? for example an 90' stingray sound .

  • @UnMaxDeGrOove Did he ever

    answer your question about the

    difference between the pre-ernie

ball sound and the classic 2 band

    sound?!!!

  • @byjuu246 Mhhh, I don't think so ? I don't remember if he did ^^'

My question wasn't really "what is the difference" but "Is that more a pre-ernie ball sound or 90's stingray sound?". And If I had to respond to this question, with the sound he had in his video, I think it's more a pre-ernie ball sound for me. You can hear it when he slap, you have that characteristic punch on the High frequency.

Hope it will help you, sorry for my bad english.

    See ya.

  • @RaffaBass95 I believe it's about 1400 pounds

  • would this bass be better or worse than the other stingray model with four dials rather than three and without the foam pads,

ps this would be used mostly for slapping. price isnt an issue

  • Thank you very much for this very interesting review !

  • flight of the concords ?

  • thanks to you I wanna marry that bass

    is that legal o: ?

  • @kXcful Well, a woman married the Eiffel tower, so who knows! You might get done for basstiality though...

  • @kXcful Oh me, oh my. Me too.

    @casimer Great video, thank you.

  • @thunderthumbs83 they have a sterling by musicman one now and they're like 650$ and I got one myself. They soun exactly like the more expensive, but are just made in indonesia, I would recommend you get one.

  • @Garnsay But when you buy a bass, you're also buying the brand. As to whether people care is completely subjective though. I agree with you if you're basing it only on listening

  • I'm wearing the exact same headphones right now; Sennheiser PX100 right?

  • pity the volume is so low. otherwise I'd feature this video @ basstheworld'dot'com

  • thanks for the review casimer! love the stingrays!!! my classic will be here in two weeks and I can't wait

  • @toddhamby that's awesome, look forward to seeing your uploads with that!

  • @casimer how much does this bass cost?

  • i've always loved the Pre-CBS MusicMan Basses, but unfortunately it's always been out of my budget trying to get one. Now these are available, it's rehashed my desire for one again (i had a same ol' 2004 3-band a few years back, then sold it). The 5 string version is pretty interesting too.

  • @thunderthumbs83 Pre-CBS?? CBS never owned Music Man.

  • @55mrj lol, my bad, i meant to say "pre-ernie ball". looking back at my comment, i realise how silly it looks. on that note, a pre CBS fender would be nice too. :)
