@sayyid14 I do appreciate your 'spirit' brother. But I'm sorry to say that I don't agree with the fact that the Quran teaches us to not making friends with the Nasrani and Yahud. Indeed, there're verses reminding us about both people of the book, but I think you miss the context of the verses. The Quran doesn't tell us to hate them or not making friends with them at all,even the prophet Muhammad married a jew himself.

@sayyid14 Secondly, I see no point even if Islam happens to dominant in the countries you cited. I explain why in this brief place. Firstly because we don't have the capacity, the intellectual capacity. Islam nowadays is becoming mere rituals to most of us, not the way of life. This is in contrast when compared to previous muslims during the Islamic Golden Age under Abbassid, for example.

@sayyid14 So my view is, we should as muslims learn the Quran IN arabic not mere translations if we really want to understand what Allah reveals to us.

It's not that I don't believe in the sincerity of Islamic political power.But for example in Malaysia,we've this Islamic party named PAS, but even if they got into power, they don't have the 'army' enough to practice Islam in finance, social events, etc.They don't have the experts except some ulama's which is not enough. We need intellectuals.

Considering the fact that most of us in Muslims countries go to Western University to get educated, how do you expect muslims can simply bring out an Islamic government and be successful?

You don't need to go far, middle east is enough, the Arab countries. Definitely muslim countries, but how did they impact the world in development? Barely we can see impacts from them.

@sayyid14 So my thesis is not to simply make Islam dominant in countries but rather instill islamic values in muslims, to bring them back to Quran and Sunnah, learn Arabic.

The fact that muslims need to shout around to make their voice be heard explains how weak we are as Muslims. Muhammad said this about muslims being like bubbles in the ocean.

We need quality. Muslims with quality, and then power will come. Jews don't have quantity but quality.

It is not Arabic Roots but Islamic Roots. In those times, Arabic was the lingua franca.

Many scholars were Persian, Afghans, African Berbers etc.

Islam is really not about a race. But we cherish the Arabs for Allah sent His mercy through an Arab, Al Mustapha (PBUH)
