@pookomoo because it completes the flush, and there is already a king on the board.
She raises pre-flop indicating strength, I don't play with her personally or anything but I haven't seen anything to indicate she is an overly aggressive player. This limits ranges to hands like AA, KK, QQ, AK, AQ... the c-bet on the flop limits her hand even more as AQ and AK are now bluffs which would be out of character (ooc). AK hit the turn and AQ flush draws would have hit the river even if ooc.
@zex95966 Very nice apart from the fact that you've missed that Ivey has a full house which can beat a flush. The 4 can not have improved her hand in anyway which is why it's the worst card for him.
Can we tell the camera guy to get any closer................I want to see how they interact with there chips anyway subscribe to my poker community channel and enjoy the videos!!

@adolfolicious, u are right there is no flush out there we know that but the players dont. They can be sure if there were a flush out there it would be no good, thats why u are right to see there is no flush
@adolfolicious The 3th heart would complete a flushdraw, but it doesnt matter since they both have JJ/AA + 444 which is a fullhouse; better than a flush.
Of course its obvious. Ivey knew it before you did I'm sure. If he stayed it was because he was hoping to make a big move on the river, hoping to represent a hand that would crack a big pair. I've seen him do it plenty of times.
The players came out swinging right off the bat, and if this hand is representative for the kind of action we will see, the spectators are going to be in for a treat. Anyway i just got 50 free $ from Pokerfrik to start my poker carrier, wish me luck :PP
Cole South ended the weekend on a positive note when he took off with $171K of his opponents money yesterday. Cole also started his carrier with free 50 $ starting capital from PokerFrik site
As it was now, durrrr was a very marginal favorite, but when the seven fell on the turn, durrrr was left grasping at straws. It's soo funny that he's a millionare now and the fact he started with only 50 $ he got for free on Pokerfrik website.
Durrrr tries a big river bluff at the wrong time. $86K pot. Durrrr is bluffing because he built all his money on a free 50 $ starting capital he got from Pokerfrik website so he not really worried about bluffing.
It will be interesting to see how the rest of the year will now go for Antonius. Lol i have just doubled up my free 50 $ i got from PokerFrik website!
It is, however, difficult to get away with a bluff when you represent the hand that your opponent is holding. Anyway i just got free 50 $ from Pokerfrik website so im gonna try to build my fortune as well!
i think when he's calling the turn, he puts her on AK or better or barrelling the turn when picking up a draw, thinking that ivey calls light. Depending on what river card comes and what Jen does, he will decide whether to turn his hand into a bluff, or whether Jen's got air, and Ivey probably can gauge this pretty well. The 4 on the river is an awful card for him to bluff as Jen's hand is now pretty much face up. Just what i think but WHATEVERRRRR
i dont know what all the bitching is about.... both players played their hands perfectly.... hard fold for ivey but it had to be done.... well played by both of em....
He staked Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi also in the Main Event (this is however just speculation). If anyone is looking for a free 50 $ starting capital, check Pokerfrik it worked well for me :)
Instead, durrrr chose to wait to see what came off on the turn, and when the spade came off he decided to try to represent a flush. Durrrr is bluffing a lot because he built his money out of free 50 $ he got from Pokerfrik website so he doesn't reall care.

Thank again Jennifer this HalfEatenDimSim is still pissed LOL !!! I don't want to buy milk for nigger babies. LOL! You are too funny getting pissed off over a video that Jennifer Kicked Phil Ivey's ASS!! LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
go fuck yourself with a machete, I will rip your eyeballs out of your head mix em in with a bowl of grapes and eat the motherfuckers and I will be happy to do it
@kornbizkit16 That doesn't mean every move he makes is the right one; that can't be true for anyone. Personally, I didn't think it was a good move either.
the call on the turn is to try and get a checkdown, but when jen fires a 3rd bullet phil can lay down knowing theres something there.., after all man he has an over pair to the board on the flop, the turn should be enough for him to throw it but..not for him obviously, phil has made a lot of moves on the river against people and been successful, but that board is pair to full house..not happening

think about it idiot,.he was thinking if he hit a jack on the river he could make a move. DURRRRRRRRRRR. Looking at the flop he could have put her on A,10 suited. I bet you would have pushed on the flop if you were in his position so shut your face
I don't think there is any need to be so agro. What you got small dick syndrome? I was asking out of interest, because the chances of a jack coming on the river were tiny, but hey, since it's obvious to you it must be obvious to the rest of us.
And the chances if her having AA were tiny you dumb fuck. You think you're smarter than the pros because you can see all hole-cards. I bet you're so retarded you would have expected phil to fold pre-flop after seeing AA
What you have just said is in no way helpful. It's common practice that if you call the turn then you should be prepared to call the river and not wait in the hope of a two outer. That is why his move confuses me. He knew he was beat on the turn in one way or another but he still called. That doesn't mean he thought aces. A sneaky set perhaps.

I must say I do too I mean like seriously hold'em is a fun game it really is..but its being over done I mean theres more to poker then hold'em I like stud hi/lo so much more i love razz I really like horse where its a variety of games not to mention there are so many good hold'em players now...there cant be a best anymore in terms of hold'em i declare a horse tourney champ as more skill then a NLHE player in a poker game because they understand poker so much more
well they used to televise mixed games on ESPN, but those didnt get good enough ratings so now they only show holdem, which Is a shame because I used to like to watch the stud and omaha torneys too. If you wanna talk about great mixed game players you gotta include Scotty Nguyne, who won the 2008 WSOP HORSE torney and has a bracelet in every games except 2-7 triple draw
I believe it and you have to talk about any player who wins a bracelet in about every event..even if they dont win hey final table is still pretty damn good even though those arent the ones that get remembered too often but its tough to get good at more then one game..and except for draw games like 2-7 single/triple draw, I would love to watch all the games but they are more confusing then hold'em I bet for most ppl and that would be the only reason why they would have bad ratings
jacks aren't better then average its a average hand. Non pros over play them and lose to much money. Unless you hit your jack you have to slow play it. You see ivey just aclled the flop most people are all in and go broke but ivey its just a calling hand not a raising one.
actually jacks are better than average. what you dont seem realize is that poker is completely situational. phil knew his opponent, jennifer harman, and he knows that shes not going to be betting the whole way with something that doesnt have him beat. remember phil has position on her so she would have to have something that beats jacks against roughly a top ten greatest player of all time. thats why phil didnt raise her at any point of that hand.
Jacks are a better than average hand - But overcards hit the board a majority of the time when you're holding them - so it can get kind of tricky to figure out when they're good then - I just like to play small pots with them(unless I hit a third Jack of course). You're definitely right about people going broke with them postflop to a bigger overpair-see that all the time - Ivey would have repopped it there(pre) against a more loose/aggressive player, but she's more like a rock...
jack could prob beat 3 hands only post flop lol. only joking, but jacks are only good mostly in all in situations. other than that, u most likely to end up with difficult decisions to make.
jennifer gives away a lot of tells you can tell she has something. Who scratches there neck 20 times before they bet? i mean come on he saw that. Shes an idiot typical woman player who has a hard time not giving atell away when she has a hand.
you guys think he was making a good read? haha. He was plyaying to hit trip jacks other then that he slows down and just check calls and if they bet the river he folds thats just his style. Jacks are a average hand to begin with.
Jacks are definitely better than average, the problem is they can be easily beaten by draws, thats why you bet them hard, fortunately for phil, jen bet her aces hard so phil would not have to
bad river card for harman, she already had him beat before that but the river makes it an easier fold for Ivey.
zex95966 2 months ago
@zex95966 how the hell did that make it an easier fold for ivey? that's probably the card that makes it the hardest!

I don't get why Phil called the turn. Was he thinking he would make a move if the river looked non threatening? Theories anyone?
ImperialUSA 2 years ago
This comment has received too many negative votes show
think about it idiot,.he was thinking if he hit a jack on the river he could make a move. DURRRRRRRRRRR. Looking at the flop he could have put her on A,10 suited. I bet you would have pushed on the flop if you were in his position so shut your face
sunkah 2 years ago
I don't think there is any need to be so agro. What you got small dick syndrome? I was asking out of interest, because the chances of a jack coming on the river were tiny, but hey, since it's obvious to you it must be obvious to the rest of us.
ImperialUSA 2 years ago 3
And the chances if her having AA were tiny you dumb fuck. You think you're smarter than the pros because you can see all hole-cards. I bet you're so retarded you would have expected phil to fold pre-flop after seeing AA
sunkah 2 years ago
What you have just said is in no way helpful. It's common practice that if you call the turn then you should be prepared to call the river and not wait in the hope of a two outer. That is why his move confuses me. He knew he was beat on the turn in one way or another but he still called. That doesn't mean he thought aces. A sneaky set perhaps.
ImperialUSA 2 years ago 2
whats wrong with you? he was just asking a question why would you get offended?

1st time ive seen jen actually bet through out and it took aces.. all of HJSP and PAD she was garbage
tavbf 2 years ago
Jen had said b4 that NLHE is her worst game. She said top her top 3 games are omaha hi/lo, stud hi/lo, and limit hold em
TheSamurai1982 2 years ago 2
I must say I do too I mean like seriously hold'em is a fun game it really is..but its being over done I mean theres more to poker then hold'em I like stud hi/lo so much more i love razz I really like horse where its a variety of games not to mention there are so many good hold'em players now...there cant be a best anymore in terms of hold'em i declare a horse tourney champ as more skill then a NLHE player in a poker game because they understand poker so much more
sens2good 2 years ago
well they used to televise mixed games on ESPN, but those didnt get good enough ratings so now they only show holdem, which Is a shame because I used to like to watch the stud and omaha torneys too. If you wanna talk about great mixed game players you gotta include Scotty Nguyne, who won the 2008 WSOP HORSE torney and has a bracelet in every games except 2-7 triple draw
TheSamurai1982 2 years ago 2
I believe it and you have to talk about any player who wins a bracelet in about every event..even if they dont win hey final table is still pretty damn good even though those arent the ones that get remembered too often but its tough to get good at more then one game..and except for draw games like 2-7 single/triple draw, I would love to watch all the games but they are more confusing then hold'em I bet for most ppl and that would be the only reason why they would have bad ratings

everyone knows jennifer isnt firing a 3 barrel with air there... he knows hes beat. pretty standard hand
jetson888 2 years ago
He might have known he was beat on the turn too, but if he hits his jack he's probably getting her stack.
PhanatixDDH 2 years ago
jacks aren't better then average its a average hand. Non pros over play them and lose to much money. Unless you hit your jack you have to slow play it. You see ivey just aclled the flop most people are all in and go broke but ivey its just a calling hand not a raising one.
fliptthescript 2 years ago
actually jacks are better than average. what you dont seem realize is that poker is completely situational. phil knew his opponent, jennifer harman, and he knows that shes not going to be betting the whole way with something that doesnt have him beat. remember phil has position on her so she would have to have something that beats jacks against roughly a top ten greatest player of all time. thats why phil didnt raise her at any point of that hand.
19Nickinabox88 2 years ago
Jacks are a better than average hand - But overcards hit the board a majority of the time when you're holding them - so it can get kind of tricky to figure out when they're good then - I just like to play small pots with them(unless I hit a third Jack of course). You're definitely right about people going broke with them postflop to a bigger overpair-see that all the time - Ivey would have repopped it there(pre) against a more loose/aggressive player, but she's more like a rock...
Ayoudell 2 years ago
JJ is an average hand? Are you kidding me? Only 3 hands can beat JJ pre-fop, if Jennifer had not raised, Phil would have.
JolleyEFC 2 years ago
jack could prob beat 3 hands only post flop lol. only joking, but jacks are only good mostly in all in situations. other than that, u most likely to end up with difficult decisions to make.

jennifer gives away a lot of tells you can tell she has something. Who scratches there neck 20 times before they bet? i mean come on he saw that. Shes an idiot typical woman player who has a hard time not giving atell away when she has a hand.

LEECH44 2 years ago 6
you guys think he was making a good read? haha. He was plyaying to hit trip jacks other then that he slows down and just check calls and if they bet the river he folds thats just his style. Jacks are a average hand to begin with.
fliptthescript 2 years ago
Jacks are definitely better than average, the problem is they can be easily beaten by draws, thats why you bet them hard, fortunately for phil, jen bet her aces hard so phil would not have to
