Saw him once in Los Altos, Ca I think at Macs Tea Room...he played there I was only like 12 or so and I knew he was the Peanuts piano...very unusual style..one of the greats.
This is the last song Vince played before his death at 47 on Feb. 6, 1976 between sets at Butterfield's in Menlo Park, CA. He died of a heart attack in his motel room next door. Vince recorded several versions of "Eleanor Rigby" … this one is from "Alma-Ville", his last studio effort released by Warner Bros. in '69. That's Herb Ellis on guitar.
@MooPotPie Thank you for that info. My first kid, my son, was born Feb 03 1976. Three days later the guy who created the most emotional music i've ever heard before or since left us far far too soon.
real nice cuts on this track...yes 2:27.2:50-2:52..also 3:!7 to about 3:30 is a great loop...nasty sound alot of pain on this number... alot of soul...

This is fantastic. What album is this off of? It doesn't sound like the track on "... with the San Francisco Boys Chorus." This one is much better.
