Remember: she and her image were very scrupulously controlled back then: always on stage, her daily life as theater. It's stressful as hell. Just like the whole "Une Enfant Du Siècle" album acts as a certain message to the audience, what happened in her early life. Through allusions and metaphors. Edie Sedgwick is here for a reason.

i still can't help feeling that Alizee looks best without or only slight make-up, with a natural look like when she was a teenager. i know she is older now, but back then she was more than stunning. but i am actually glad that she didn't pick up any sluttiness like so many idol singers do when they get older.

Some very good points by Magas and Silas. I'm a huge fan of Alizee and love her old look but she is indeed a woman now. To hope she never changes? Well people do. We live in a society that always lauds the younger and younger ages. BUT there is much to be said about moving from the cutsie "I'm a little girl" to Grown up woman and the look that says "I used to be pocket size but now you've got your hands full. Look me in the eye and are you man enough" So I have changed my view also. I like her!

I think she looks amazing with or without make up. You can't expect her to be the same girl in "Moi Lolita", without make up and a sailor suit all her life. She, unlike many others artists nowadays is not whoring herself in her videos to be as amazing as she has always been. Of course she looks more mature, she's older. She's not a doll or a toy, she's a human being. The make up makes her look classy and elegant. I'll say it again : she's not a girl anymore, she even has a kid. Understood?

j'avais 10ans quand je l'ai connu pour la premiere fois, autant vous dire que de la voir comme ça, ça me fait bizarre mnt. Je trouve qu'elle fait triste et fade elle ressemble à toutes ces chanteuses qui sont sur le marché en ce moment. A l'époque de Moi Lolita elle faisait bcp plus fraiche et naturelle,au premier coup d'oeil la chanson ressemble à toute les autres chansons qui sortent en ce moment... enfin bref une grosse deception.
