yup, though this video is from several years ago, we fly over Kobau to Oliver pretty regularly. It's not far, just gotta hook a thermal on the Cawston side to 7000' MSL or higher to safely clear the mountain, then it's an easy glide to Oliver airport.
I been watching my landing and trying to figure out why I dropped the nose on landing, it looks like I was fighting the glider wanting to yaw to the right just as I was aproaching the ground.
that's what it looks like to me as well. If you could have flared just a little higher maybe you could have gotten your feet under you for a step or two and saved it.
looks to me might have been at least about 4 or 6 if earlier. I'd rather let the nose hit, than run it out in tall grass, and risk hitting my head on the junction/apex, as a result of tripping or ?
sparse weeds, actually...could run it out through it. Just looks like he couldn't get his feet under him. If he had it would have been not much more than a one stepper as it is, not much forward momentum there after that flare. But the risk of flaring earlier is shooting up too high, not more steps to run it out as you suggest.
good flyin guys, way bto make it look ez.
youre a credit to the sport, thanks for posting it.

Nice, I didn't think you could fly over Kobau from that spot. You flew all the way to Oliver?

Actually, after watching the video again I think my flair timing was put out because the music changed tempo just as I was coming in to land.
I knew there was some good excuse
