  • I love the fact that you provided us with a transcript for this video. I wish more Youtubers would speak in a more coherent manner and post transcripts so that those of us with poor working PCs would not have to rewind the video if we had missed something.

  • The Internet is one key element in a more expansive process of alienation.

  • never had face book never will . trying to connect with nature god and who i am is a madger battel. the truth is out hear and its dismal. tracktor pulls . fin. beauty plus pitty. lookit up its art thats what we crave

  • I think the net has helped a lot in bringing a lot of us together, but just as there's a dark and light side to every aspect of every aspect it can equally hurt us. And in (too) many cases I think it has. Ultimately I agree with the message in this video (thanks for posting it and bringing it to discussion). For goodness sake, if we can all just start off with at least an attempt to maintain a certain amount of awareness.

  • ya

  • Internet is such a great tool for increase our knowledge and a great information tool, but it is VERY easy to become a victim of internet addiction and social media shit.

  • I don't think the internet is making us stupid. It is a tool and can be used however we see fit. The people in charge may want to dumb us down, but this has been happening in our educational system for decades. TV is even worse as it flashes A.D.D. style non-stop. So yes, people are becoming dumber, but it's not the internet's fault. Thanks for posing the question.

  • Thought provoking. Now where's that Panda link?

  • You need to ge a hair cut Paul!

  • I would say that what he is saying is relevant and the attention span needed to listen and read is just what is in danger. Books here in America are not being read and that is a fact because they are digitalized to the nth degree. Damage to the brain and nervous system begins early. After all the schools here have opted to eliminate books and libraries and go all digital in some southern states. We have become prisoners to the grid period.

  • Unfortunately this is probably a real possiblility. I read a study in 2008, that 1 out 5 college age young adults have some form of a personality or obsessive disorder. Dumbing down generations doesn't seem that far off the mark. Thanks for uploading this

  • I'm not interested in Facebook or Twitter. Unfortunately, this means that I am essentially cut off from any semblance of a social life amongst my age group (early twenties).

    I couldn't care less.

It's odd to consider that so many Infowarriors resist the Census, and yet voluntarily divulge every minute detail about their lives, interests, hobbies, and activities to whoever wants to know.

    Great video.

  • Blah blah blah man, I hadd to leave you cus you're boooring

  • i love your video and i want to say that i think the same way

  • Is the internet rewiring Paul's hair? Seriously though I don't think the internet is doing this I think it's having the opposite effect.

  • The positive and negative effects of the internet are balanced, and everyone is subject to either of those effects; it depends on the individual. The internet isn't making people stupid, per se, but it is certainly giving inherently stupid people a lot of stupid things to do; while at the same time, a lot of ambitious and clever people are given a great oppourtunity to expand their intellectual empire. The internet, in my opinion, amplifies the inherent characterstics of the individual.

  • Something I see over and over again...

There is a song in a video, and repeatedly people will post the same comment, "What is that song in the video?" And it's written directly underneath the video, usually twice, with additional comments written right next to where they write the comment with others asking what song it was and the answer being given.

  • ...So they are doing my writing for me. And if I try to ignore it, it just makes me look like a fool, wasting my time by writing what's already been written for me. And they are doing my thinking for me, and my computer tool is not obeying me, but rather making me obey it instead. And virtually everyone around is using their silly abbreviations instead of using real words and phrases, and making me look like a fool by wasting my time writing out full words and sentences.

  • When I search for things using Google and Youtube I am shown the futility of writing by having it already written for me before I finish typing the whole thing. In addition they will try to control my desires by providing alternative things to what I wanted to search for. But even worse, sometimes they actually IGNORE what I wrote and search for something "I must have meant" instead.

And I hate the word "lol" and all the other annoying abbreviations.

  • jesus paul comb your hair ..lol it looks like you just got up and broadcasted before grooming ..lol anyway there are a lot of hot young chicks that get on here because they think you are a total cutie and you make them really moist and excited so you dont want to let them down now do you ..lol buy a freakin comb paul ..lol

  • Nyan Cat is out to get Watson!

  • Much thanks to you, sir, for illustrating such a pressing subject. Why do we willing exploit ourselves and our peers?! I have decided to step away from the facebook community, in hopes that it will encourage some to contact me in a more familiar and personable fashion. My efforts have yielded little success, even with my own closest family members. Not only are books left to collect dust, keyboards have become somewhat obsolete as touch screens move to the forefront. Bahhh! What have we become?

  • I open up prisonplanet today and I was confused because I saw a headline talking about "Sharia law!!!" and I thought I had mistakenly opened Becks,CNNs or Fox News' page by accident.Turns out no, you guys are in fact fear mongering over muslims and Sharia Law like common MSM neocon toolbags. You should be ashamed to push such pro-war BULLSHIT like the notion that "Sharia law" is a threat. Its a non issue that only zio/neocon media scumbags care about and fear monger over. This is a new low Paul

  • I think that the empty bookshelf says it all! Keep up the good digital work Paul - With you all the way.

  • Read "Living in the Age of Entitlement The Narcissim Epidemic" by Jean M Twenge, Phd and W. Keith Campbell, Phd. The subject talks about more people were being raised narcissim, FB, Twitter and people focusing on "Me" all the way back to the 70's to current studies. It's very interesting, especially if you get these people into power positions to abuse their power for themselves.

  • Yes the Internet is affecting peoples minds especially younger people growing up with twitter and facebook. Its a bad thing but only the people can decide the path they choose. It appears to be a form of natures natural selection in tweet form.

  • Get info quickly, communicate ideas fast. That's why the internet scares them.

  • is the internet re-wiring our brains? No. I will now watch a video of people injuring themselves by falling from high places

  • LMAO!! And Paul's ADD apparently kicked in while he was doing his hair!

Love ya', Paul! Keep up the good work!

  • yeah people look at me real weird when i pull out a book at a coffee shop but i will continue to read, the internet is great but there is a ton of useless information

  • well actually...there is kind of a solution...i had a terrible attention span before when i was using windows...and i know this isn't really fitting in this video..but when i started using linux..my attention span got much better because of computer programming and my mind is constantly being used to customize websites..or create games and such

  • You have the most beautiful eyes I've ever seen...

  • I read some 5-6 books min. in year.

  • Maybe you'll have to put subliminal messages in your videos?

  • I object to that!!The real problem is teens today aren't getting jobs!!!Their living off their mom & dad and don't contribute anything but to facebook all damn day in their pajama's!!!Go out there and do some handy work for your neighbors or get a job b/c most jobs will not let you be on the internet all day!!!If your 16 and not working all ready your a lazy mindless goon!!Realize that your contribution to society is more than 10 posts a day on facebook or watching the funniest videos on youtube

  • This video contains some interesting points. You're right. If this was a 3 page article I might not have taken the time to read it.

  • I suggest to everyone to occasionally switch off the laptop for a few days ! go for a walk in the park or woods ! get away from things and let your brain cool down ! trust me it keeps you sane in this fucking insanity :P

  • Facebook is full of my moronic friends crying about eastenders or whining about inconsequential shit. The television is no better, it's saturated with mind numbing shit about some dizzy bitch not being able to put on a shoe or something else highly distressing for her. There's too much emphasis put on fitting in and for me the internet is a sanctuary. It's the only place I can speak to like minded people and there are many great places on the 'net, however mainstream things take the spotlight.

  • @doodleplop800 Facebook is shit. I deactivated it 2 months ago and I dont miss it.

  • @SlowY00 How about deleting it so someone wont hack it..?

  • err what did you just say i need to read more books, do mr men count ?

  • I don't read books but I always have 2-4 audio books on my I-pod, because it lets me listen to a book while I do other things. I have no learning disabilities, I just prefer listening to an audio book over reading an actual book. I have a large vocabulary, but I can't spell very well at all.

  • naahh some people are just stupid. plus who wants to read a book when you dont like it and its so much more efficient to obtain the information in other manners (and some do mean reading but not the whole book) PLUS the university could do even worse! becuase they teach you what to think, with the internet you learn from what you want. its the future.

  • There's a simple solution for students:

    1) off switch

    2) study

    3) succeed

    4) on switch

  • i find what you are saying to be true

it's really hard for me to concentrate and i rarely read anny books at all

to be sincere i read only 1 book in my entire life

  • @KronoReaper - it is never too late to read dude!...watch tv through words in ur mind!...you know that too, unless ur already dead!

  • Subbed!

  • This perfectly describes today's youth... excellent video!

  • Well i would rather read something that proves a point in a page then to read a long text of nonsense. I personally think limiting people will make them think more. If you give them long pages of articles, it doesn't really make them think critically.. It makes them lazy just listening to what other people has to say. I found internet to be very helpful part of my life growing up. I basically grew up with the internet itself growing too.

  • except that the book you held up is the very same money-grabbing sensationalist drivel - i bet there's some S.E.X. in there somewhere!

    courting the distractions..

    Anyway - Subscribed =D

  • Dude, cut that hair and shave. You look like ass. You need to look more professional when delivering the news.

  • @soulflyz88 What does a look have to do with knowledge... Politicians dress up professional all the time... and they are still some of the dumbest people in the world... Image doesn't hold knowledge... Thats america forcing the fact that image is everything... im sorry but you have been brainwashed...

  • @soulflyz88 Hehe, I agree alot with what Watson was speaking of, but this made me laugh a little too much..

  • @soulflyz88 nevermind his message then, looks are more important I guess.

  • Man, this guy needs a hair brush.

  • Did the Internet rewire his head? Has it cause his brain to go bonkers as you will see he is reading like a child.

  • @racemate Ouch

  • SUBSCRIBED

  • Is it possible to use "critical thinking" in the same sentence with Facebook and Twitter? The psy-ops experiment seems to be working to the determent of the sheeple's (i mean people's) ability to communicate. Wonder what kind of drug the corporate lords will come up with for this insane problem?

  • facebook is the orwelleian social engineering program to generate consencus. you are reduced to floating around likeing stuff. no posting relevent material covering current events in the real world, all is avoided like hiv. so in the absence of substance we are down to the lowest common denominator, like like like....blueberries

  • The answer is clear, we must hire more illustrators for our books.

  • @TheOutFoxer How old are you, if you don't mind me asking?

  • @TheOutFoxer I was refering to how my mind works. When I get done researching it always feels like it's blank. My mind works a little differently I suppose. Mine is more full of questions than answers, so when I'm done researching and I've answered those questions and write them down in my journal, I feel complete or empty, or I suppose tired would be the word. Meditation refuels me. But nothing refuels me like taking a box of fresh garden veggies to my neighbors and giving it to them.

  • @TheOutFoxer I tend to agree with you, I live at home with my mother and she has cable tv...it's ran in my room however I haven't plugged it in yet, except...the other day i did out of curiosity. It had been literally years since i even saw tv..well, sat down to see it. It was very strange to sit through it. I did feel exactly what people like Alex Jones describe as a lower cognitive state, almost as if I was about to go to sleep. I had to turn it off within 30 minutes.

  • Where are the Sneezing penguins? Wait Squirrel.....

  • @nosferotica1 You are right about free will, and unfortunately, if one does truly practice free will, they know that free will only exists up to the limits of the U.S. Law, Complete and TRUE free will is nothing more than the fast track to death, because our government, "The Enterprise", will never allow it to happen. However, free will of the mind can not be controlled.

  • Facebook is giving you a LOBOTOMY and INFANTALIZING your brain and making you like shiny thing. What happened to this guy's hair??

  • The Net is INFANTILIZING you brain!! It blew AJ's circuits a long time ago.

  • Watch out, the NET is rewiring your brain. What absolute and complete bullshit. This guy talks like one of the Beatles and is one of AJ's sex slaves. Now your are supposed to believe when you sleep and when you are awake it is magically turning you into an idiot with a brain that cannot complete sentences. He cites ridiculous studies. There will always ppl that play cards or video games or are on the Net for hours. Always been amongst us called dumb losers. in AJ world a conspiracy.

  • There is nothing wrong with the internet unless it's always about mindless fluff. I find it a fantastic window to the world. What took days before now takes seconds and minutes to reserch. It used to be such a narrowly defined world in some respects, but now the amount of readily available useful info is limitless!!

  • Books may be as dumb as crap in the internet, most of them arent even worth wipping my ass, so Paul I dont find it a scary fact that people dont read toalet paper. I find real world creativity much more important (real life skills and ingenuity).

  • Eh, the porn still gets me, but that's a battle before I had the internet and likely be battling that until my heart stops beating.

  • YOUR HAIR!

  • if you told some one, that there mom was a alien from outter space. well, they would not believe you. like you say guys said, people won't listen, if it was on tv they would. the doc films you guys make are the only ones to brake that one person mind matrix of theres. i don't think google is all there is, but thats a good point your making.

well not really, reading a book is the same on the net. it depends what are you reading. but on the net, it can be rewritin. it's not all factual!

  • while I do agree with everything you have said... the internet youtube and social networking has enlightened me (i think)... most of my youtube research are on the real issues that u and the rest of the infowars and prison planet gang post... also much information on Ron Paul which everyone knows gets minimal coverage by mainstream media.... there are some pros but also alot of cons to the internet

  • At least it gives you choice, you can read books online...yes remember books

  • What ?

  • The only reason that modern day electronics and social networks are making people dumb, is because of the dumb choices they make in the first place. It's called self control and choice, and unfortunately, electronics provide us with a lazy way to think, but one should be able to control what they do with theirselves and their minds. Blame yourselves for making a poor choice. Fast food establishments are everywhere, does their presence force you to eat there? Vids like this make people stupid.

  • @irishjt2

Well, people who have to work long hours or two jobs, or families where both parents work... No, fast food doesn't make them eat there, but I doubt anyone who does really feels they had a choice in the matter. I'll bet many of them feel their choice was "McDonalds, Burger King, Wendy's, Arby's, or..."

The hustle and bustle of our day to day life and the demands thereof strip us of most of our "free will."

  • It's extremely evident that you're reading from a scipt, goes to show that people can write, just not in physical form, it's called typing, Americans read all the time, it's called kindle, plus the amount of info that people read all the time adds up to many books, it's on the internet. If modern day electronics and internet information are making people dumb, aren't you adding to it? Am I increasing my ignorance by watching your video, or are you an exception? It's called "Choice".

  • That's some hair don't you have. I love it. Very Japanese lady.

  • @Pandamonia I think it's the wires.

  • @Pandamonia I liked it everyone is so polished these days there is nothing unique left in the world.

  • @bonzaibb12 I love it!! He can do no wrong in my eyes!

  • Well actually the internet sharpens analytical skills because of the information overload. If you're hungry and you have no food, you won't waste your time watching Michael Jordan videos. Same with food for the soul: freedom.

  • It's not the internet that's dumbing us down, it's the stuff stupid people PUT ON the internet that dumbs us, otherwise the internet is simply a means of sharing information and ideas from the rest of the world.

  • Paul...how do you get your hair to do that?

  • /watch?v=3w9oK3ln8Es

  • @TheOutFoxer The confusion comes from a defining of "mind". Only a few people define mind as the noise the brain makes, which is just an organ of the body. Most people think mind encompasses all that goes on in your head, but it's not.

  • What about people who participate in Forum communities strengthening not only the ability to hold a conversation but the ability to hold a debate more fluently ... Not everyone has access to people that are as intelligent as themselves. This results in the brain searching for a haven of like mined people. It's human nature to want to connect and SHARE information with the people holding positive energy. I care not to teach the sheep and educate the unwilling and fake reality dwellers.

  • ...In otherwords, know your target audience & cater to THEM. If you attempt to "dumb down" too much or make everything "sound-byte-able" you're not only skewing your message but losing your base while at the same time gaining very few newcomers.

My suggestion would be to keep it real and precise for your base &, when ready, begin a NEW division that slowly acclimates people to the information via sound-bytes and 3 minute updates. This way, everybody wins and the message of truth is maintained :)

  • Many p(sh)eople out there have been bred, vaccinated, and conditioned to function on a level on par with young children their entire lives... And, ironically enough, even I fall under this category! But for whatever reasons, I had enough turmoil in my life and inner drive to reach out for more than the status quo...

"Character, not circumstances, makes the man." ~Washington, Booker T.

The internet is only a reflection of ourselves - what we choose to make of it is the real opportunity. ;-)

  • Books books books! I actually have become more interested in reading books lately. To me, its like I long for it. I plan on buying a lot more. I don't like being online all the time and staring at a screen. I don't go to any collage or trade school because I have no job or no transportation right now. I am finding that it is better to learn independently. Right now I am reading the Great Book Of Hemp and boy, Its amazing what it can do for the world. So interesting!

  • @dudefromtheearth The Great Book of Hemp? Sounds interesting. I can't read books unless it's educational. I have a stack of books on growing plants, tying knots, and books of historical or spiritual significance. If it doesn't teach me something of current relevance can't be bothered to read it.

  • @Gnostic279 Yeah, I agree.

  • 6 people have just left to go and watch sneezing panda's LOL

  • @ecotts C'mon. The sneezing panda is cute. Animals are an awesome addition to your lives.

  • HHaw haw haw! All they care about is your hair!

  • to all your worries.

sure! if you believe it's gonna happen to you, it probably will!

but seriously, relax! it's only fears. but of course if you believe in them you'll create that reality for yourself. have people really forgotten this?

i have been building computers and geeking with them spending time on the net the past 16 years, can't say i'm worried, but of course there will always be people believing in the fears and creating those realities for them selves.

  • What's destroying our ability to understand isn't the internet or tv. It's the inability to provide an abundance of variety to your mind that causes this. Your brain does not want to sit there in front of the computer for 10 hours a day. It also doesn't want to just sit there watching movies or TV shows. Reading is one way, but so is meditation, or helping a neighbors solve an electronics issue or home improvement issue. So many things we can do to stay healthy, remember, we are amazing!

  • @TheOutFoxer i offer up a solution. When you're done from an hour or two of internet or tv research, make sure to take some time to do something productive, meditative, or reflective for your mind. Part of the dynamic human spirit is our mind, if you do not use it, you will lose it. I know exactly how it feels, when i get off the computer my mind feels blank. This is when I turn everything off and sit outside and meditate on the information I just read. Planting flowers seems also to help me.

  • Oh, and nice hair :)

  • There are those that watch tele, surf on the net, our plan games on the computer for hours a day and have no idea what they done. It is truly lost time. I guess that is the brain waves being altered our the semi sleep state the mind gets into. I would imagine that there are a lot of parents and children experiencing this regularly. Shame really.

  • @effnbrit children and parents experiencing it at the same time, TV night at the Jones'.....

  • The general public seems to have an attention span of 2-3 minutes for watching entertainment or informational video.

In writing, paragraphs should have 2-3 sentences, with targeted information to get the "average" person's attention. Perhaps as the article goes on, you can stretch the paragraphs out...but in general, it seems like we need to do the reverse and expand the attention of others over time, through re-training.

Likewise with video, re-train through gradual lengthening.

  • I dont know... I think even before the internet people who didnt want to read didnt and those who did, did. If anything technology has improved to enhance our needs. Instead of writing a letter or receiving a letter or a phone call, we can chat online almost everyday with a person (if they are willing). We are constantly adapting and evolving....this is part of evolution and some times we as naked apes will always screech and freak out over change. Yet who ever said it was for the best.....

  • the trick is to have days off the computer. get a life and get outdoors, speak to an actual person and do some exercise.

take the weekend off! and reclaim your health, creativity, sanity and balance. !

Thats my advice to internet addiction. and stay away from Networking sites altogether.. They are just Govt Ops data collecting and facial recognizing anyway.!.

  • @SovereignBeing Yes ignorance is bliss, I love taking the months off, unconcerned of how the government is actively trying to rob from the people, Go outdoors enjoy life, trust what the government does cuz we elected these people into office and the are impervious to corruption. Yeah that's it, ignore real life and just go enjoy yourself, nothing to see here!

  • @MrXstacey and what exactly have you done to stop your government robbing you?? are you a Sovereign citizen too..??

  • Great Vid but bad hair day :)

  • @marcusherts lol no shit mate

  • I only read when required. judge don't even read case material so I have learned. Most of the time trial judges try to read as little as possible, they just skim though it and wing it. I have a video post at my profile about it. But not many people listen to it. One thing for certain people do not care about their neighbor who've been Kangarooded by judges. people don't even care to here how one of there family members was scewed by a judge who's extended family member of the Royal family.

  • Does the internet rewire our brains? Does the internet rewire Watsons hair? lol

  • @herbalenquiry Lmao.. As Dylan said.. Everybody must get stoned..

  • sorry I should wait until I've watched the whole video before commenting its just that when you mention about reading books I wish you mention that there are many lies in the so called information books, first you have to have the instinct to decipher the real from the fake otherwise your brain will be wired wrong from the start

  • I don't trust the bloke on that book you show @2:05 something just ain't right about him ... probably just another government agent

  • its true i try to read a book now and i start to fall asleep 2 min into the book but if i go on my phone and go on facebook i could last 2 hours :??:///////////////////

  • ingest good quality phytocannabinoids to create open mindedness, help protect your neurons and counteract this truly dull side of cyberspace. this earth is abundant with cannabinoid deficient one track minded entity's. distrust all ideologies and every once in a while inspect your subconsciousness with the psilocybin mind magnifier and blast your ego into another dimension.

  • good vid mate ! s u b 'd ya

  • First you gotta wake completely up...Be honest with yourself also...Then it takes practice but you can re-wire your brain to work for you and not follow the steps of the sheeple path. Personally I reverse engineer all the lies and disinformation, read between the lines, see what is real and what isn't. Then plug the obvious lie wire right to the motivation emotion input. Put honesty & human dignity above all wires. Erase TV only knowledge. Plug my voice of the truth right to my balls....

  • I am with you on this one.

But i flip even to the opposite side.

Where i want information faster and more concentrated about a topic and almost abuse videos and drudge like website to be able to thread all new information up and therefor not spending time on long articles....

    But book's and the articles

and the most important the writings

of legislation, rulings and papers of that sort that could reveal the things even faster they are not in the priority of my reading. GG PJW! thanks

  • Too much of anything is a bad thing.

  • At least the sword is Double-edged. Good work at Bilderberg, that was outstanding reporting, I loved every second of it. Jn

  • i beleive alot of things are dumbing us down no doubt. all this entertainment technology is for the worse. i can understand things that cure disease or help the human body in some way or another are good. the internet is flooded with nonsense just about everywhere you look. porn is everywhere. sex is everywhere. death is everywhere. i just keep on praying to the one who guides me. god bless

  • ...yes, we're demoralized, and going over the cliff. I wouldn't be surprised if we were attacked militarily any minute, and the lithosphere because of the frequency of nuclear explosions, slipped and caused massive tsunamis.

  • The AJ / Infowars meme of elite control is flat out wrong. The "elite" and the internet aren't "dumbing us down." The people were never smart to begin with. Nobody forces you to drink alcohol, play video games, use drugs, watch cartoons, read hollywood gossip magazines, follow pro sports, obsess about the opposite sex, watch porn, overeat, smoke pot, or waste time on the internet. It's not David Rockefeller's fault that the top youtube videos are Lady Gaga and Ray William Johnson. MASSES = DUMB

  • what happened to his hair hahaha

  • I agree with Paul, it does seem that the net is definitely dumbing us down. We are increasingly only interested in headlines, and short videos. Reading intellectually tough stuff seems to really help this problem. It forces you to understand, not just absorb. Plus we know that the general population is very stupid. Look at 9/11. Straight over most peoples heads.

  • you idiots care more about his hair than what Hes' trying to explain.... perfect.

  • We must raise our discernment and consciousness

  • Fuck, tell me about it, I lived with 3 roommates who spent all their time talking about Michael Jordon, playing video games and blasting techno music.

  • I was under the impression that our brains naturally function via associative thinking. You know, building conceptual frameworks by associating patterns of behaviour or causes and effects. So, if the internet encourages this pattern of thought wouldn't it make us more intelligent.

  • Go camping,,, take a book.

  • Oh and btw, jeeese dood, comb your hair and cut that nasty looking hogbrush from under your chin :)

    RJ

  • very well put I gotta say :) alright back to sneezing pandas !

  • i love the hypocritical this video is,"don't use the internet, but watch my videos, and leave a comment"...

  • But people might start to wake up, but hope not too late.

  • We do have the "Burger King" mentality. We want it hot fast and now..! And if we have to wait in the drive thru, honk the damb horn. But that has nothing to do with technology. Just plain rude bunch of a-holes we have become. See, unless we are interested, we can't be bothered to learn something that takes more than 5 minutes to prove. It's like getting a lecture from daddy. And that is what we are facing when trying to explain the NWO agenda. RJ

  • did he shave sincebilderberg?or comb?

  • hey watson:comb your hair and shave!

    you look like a bum!

  • I find I prefer to watch a video than to read an article, but sometimes I will read an article if it's interesting enough.

  • I am not convinced that it is simply the use of internet and social media in and of itself, which is producing this effect. They coincide with many other factors which can be considered to be aiding in the general 'dumbing down'. Like EM radiation from smartphones. I would argue that it is not the technology, it is the intention and frequency with which it is used, which produces these specific problems. It is quite possible that some online media use may lead us to loose some to infantilism. tb

  • computers, tv, radio have taken away our attention span, LOL its a brain circus where a person wants to get on another ride. LOL "un limmited intertainment" thats our downfall.

  • improve your intelligence... stop drinking tap water!!!

  • Didn't they say the same about television? and before that, the radio? I'm sure the same was also said about the circus in ancient Rome. I think you're overlooking the fact that people are inherently stupid, and require active effort to educate themselves. The internet is merely stifling the intellectual growth of the masses, while simultaneously allowing a few driven individuals to blossom. The best part; its all voluntary.

  • @aseredy true, its a fun land utopia of free intertainment, we have been caught in the "WEB" the spider is comming LOL. control masses by giving them what they want "intertainment and electronics" and most is free on internet. and dr. Google is waiting for anyone needing help LOL

  • shure just like tv, keep telling people stuff over and over again they take it as the truth, college students even are punished for thinking for them selves or challenging what one thinks is the truth. books are peoples idea of what the truth is, bottom line is we need to anylize info and think for ourselves not relying on gurus or even radio broadcasts like alex jones, but taking the info and checking validity for ourselves.

  • I would say that the internet re-wires the brains of people that surf without a conscience; not necessarily everybody.

  • I have the same hairdo.

  • awesome hair

  • I got bored and paused the video after 22 seconds... Probably proving this theory right.

  • It's quite sad indeed on how we are constantly being pushed away from critical thought. But realize that this 'dumbing down' of us did not start through the new technological advances but first through the school system. How it kills curiosity, makes learning a chore, you are scolded for being wrong and put into a social hiearchy which is detrimental to you in one way or another on either end of it. Look up "john taylor gotto" on the criticism of the school system if interested.

  • watson, you need to invest in a comb

  • You make some good points Watson.

  • A comb; check that one out.

Great statement though, it actually gives me some hope for myself; I kicked the facebook monkey months ago (actually my profile was deleted, maybe for "extremist" views?). The facebook heads I know are often hobbit like and slow, mostly always with their faces buried in their phones like blind and dumb zombies walking around tripping over things.

But cheers to the thinkers I'd say, keep on thinking.

  • What I have found is that the internet has become irrelevent. To slow and to many stupid comments. If I was doing research on penguins I could learn more faster from observing them in the wild than reading articles about them. The point is people are trying to use the internet to read human emotions... People want to be loved (some hated) and reading tid-bits of info is just not gettin me off. Not 3D enough I guess.

Sorce: Mate Feed Kill Repeat (life is as simple as that)

  • i personally believe in the new world order but what this guy is saying is complete bull. The internet is all the information we could want at our finger tips how could it be making us stupid.....

  • reading is for fags and your shits all retarded

  • @EntheogenKET Reading is for 'fags'? I'm heterosexual and I read. You're retarded.

  • Yes, alot of people don't read books, just like alot of people don't brush their hair.

  • Hes got a good point..... but what the fuck was up with his hair?!! Was it a Conan hair doo or was he in the middle of getting braids or some shit lol. Hes got a point tho....
