    Evgeniy Belov is wonderful Onegin here...His is my favorite! Vishnevskaya is great, Tat'yana is one of the best rolles of Vishnevskaya !

  • One cannot hear two more sublime performances of this tragic climax to the Onegin drama! Vishnevskaya is all subtlety and divine expression as she closes the door to her moral dilemma and shuts the devastated Onegin out of her life! Belov's Onegin is refined and resplendent but hor- hibly wounded as Tchaikovsky's orchestral score rages with unre- strained emotion and despair! Thank you for posting and sharing this golden treasure!
