Hello, everyone im a planning on converting very soon to islam and was wondering , when I pray what do i exactly say? Does it have to be in Arabic or can I pray in English? Thank you to all Muslims
We have to pray in arabic...But for the new people maybe can start to learn slowly,one by one...Learn arabic letters,how to recite Quran.And try to learn what should be read in Prayer,the basic thing.Maybe if you still cannot read arabic,you can read the romanized one and understand its translation.Surely we have to read Al Quran only in arabic,Dont worry,du schaffst das schon.Dont feel down.Maybe you could go to the mosque near you to find somebody that can help
why does a god, that is all knowing and all powerful, require mere humans to pray to him/her/it/them? what's the purpose? is it like saying "thanks for creating the world"? and why are there specific ways to do it - where on earth does that come from?

@papercut272, My reason? I fell into the New Age movement back in 2008. I practiced the occult, I sinned, etc. I was an avid researcher, always searching for the truth. I started to find out that this New Age doctrine came from Luciferian Madame Blavatsky. (quran doesn't expose Lucifer BECAUSE IT'S FALSE) anyway, I developed a hatred for Christians. but the truth kept pointing to Jesus. So I humbly prayed, repented & I gave my will to Him. I believe you should investigate Islam before making your judgments. I was a Pastor's son in an Evangelical Christian Church & a devout Christian my whole life but a few years ago God guided me to Islam for reasons that are my own. There is really no difference between the two religions I can assure you. They both love and serve the SAME God!
