I love how Maps used a map of eastern Louisiana as the location of the egg. As a former newspaper reporter who covered this particular region of the state, the spot where the "egg" is located on the map is right where a "Bigfoot" is alleged to live.

I didn't really know what to make of it at first either, but I think it is just meant to put things in perspective. These people think that they are going to get some sort of ultimate answer, and then when it turns out to be something so simple that it sounds stupid to suggest, some people can't help but laugh while some are crushed because they put so much stock into what the answer would be. So maybe, forget about the answers and just live the questions?

I like the interpretation that the answer is both unexpected and a let-down, because it's not about the answer. It's about getting people to open up and share their problems with one another.

A slightly less optimistic version would be that there ARE no answers, and you shouldn't expect any, and especially not anything you want to hear.

This song, and video, though, regardless... just amazing. All I can say about that.

for the people that don't know. This is not a band but just one young man who still lives with his mom. He recorded this whole album in his bedroom in his little studio. Check out the BBC news videos, they just did a cover story on him. Pretty amazing and inspirational story.
