  • WOW !!!

Reminds me very much of John Scofield...Fantastic !

The rhythm section really cooks, and the Gibson 356 has an AWESOME tone, both clean and overdriven...

If the neck's anything like the 355-which I've got- it's gotta be fast as lightning !

Great stuff...I'm just sorry it took me this long to find it !

    Regards,

    Dan.

  • Another killer song. Love everyone's tone here. Is this your own home studio? Also, how was the bass recorded here? I mean, separation sounds really good, and you guys are REALLY close - so how did you keep the drums out of the bass mic?

  • @MeTuLHeD Cheers. The bass is recorded via the contact mics on the bridge so reasonable separation. It does pick up a bit of the kit nut not a problem when playing live. The guitar was DI via a H&K Tubeman,

  • You can pick some of these shred metal music and make a JAzz/groove version will be very cool

  • Nice playing! Great tone to boot. I was on here hoping to see somebody playing an ES-356 koa model. Rare bird, I know, but I'd like to find one for sale somehow....

  • you guys are awesome man!

  • are u using the cube here too? Great tone.

  • You play so well together! Amazing songs :) Makes me want to learn some jazz/fusion stuff :)

ps. what really surprised me that you had cube20x on some songs. now that I tried, you really can get some sweet tones out of it!

  • great playing

  • you are great guys, i love the 356.. just got one today! Ides Of March baby!

  • Great sound - where can I hear you play?

  • Thanks. All dates are listed on the website which is at end of video. Introduce yourself if you make it. Pete

  • hey pete,

    me tommy,

which recording studio are you in?

  • how do you like the 356??

  • Very Much. The most versatile guitar I've used. This was the first recording done with it, direct to desk with a H&K Tubeman preamp for the distorted fusion tones towards the end. Neck feels great. Can handle jazz to rock with controlled feeback. Rhythm pickup has a nice woody tone without the cloudy low mids of my previous es-175.
