  • Plasma is best for very large TVs in rooms that aren't too bright as ambient light can hinder your viewing experience.

LCD comes in almost any size, uses less power and has better quality on the smaller range of large TVs.

Basically if your getting a 42" I'd get an LCD. But for 50" I'd fork out for a Plasma.

  • @Mavrik347 Also, LED is far better picture quality than LCD. So if I was getting a 42" I'd just like to clarify it would certainly be a LED not an LCD as I said.

  • Actually, I found this very helpfull. The only thing I noticed was left out was the blacks and whites. I've heard LCDs have better whites than blacks, and Plasmas have better blakcs than whites. Great tid-bit though. :)

  • @guitarheromazter86 Glad you thought this was helpful. Some of us here have heard the same thing about the blacks and whites on Plasmas being slightly better. We think that by adjusting contrast, and considering a digital signal (instead of analogue) can also make subtle changes.

Let us know if you hear more about this.

If anyone else can help from experience as to whites and blacks and how they differ on LCD and Plasma please share.

  • lol no help at all
