Fantastic movie, will definitely see this a second time on the big screen. I'm also glad that Fincher didn't censor various scenes so respect to him. As for the acting, well, you can't fault it, it was superb!
If you like the book but not the Swedish film (because it wasn't completely faithful to the book), then you should try watching Fincher's movie because it is definitely a closer adaptation.
@11gearhead13 Yes, however the original author of the series is Swedish and so the movies you are talking about feature Swedish actors speaking in Swedish.
@11gearhead13 That was the swedish film that showed here. Now this is the american film which I can't see, but you're not alone: in the beginning i was confused too!
@11gearhead13 Oh, you mean that shitty made-for-tv movie with mediocre acting and poor direction? Am glad an actual GOOD filmmaker (David Fincher) is taking a shot at it.
@11gearhead13 well i believe the original author had been apart of the original sweetish production but this was another English adaptation with minor changes, but after watching both versions i think these actors proved to be much better at their roles especially lisbeth
@11gearhead13 yah, in sweedish, a sad but true fact: americans hardly watch foreign films. we might shove our crap down the whole world's throat, but we americans sadly have a strong gag reflex.
i might

@11gearhead13 yes, It's called milenium, and it's from Sweden... Hollywood needs to steal all good ideas they didn't have ¬¬
