  • gran obra de randy california y los suyos en fin, me alegro, volver a oirlos

    groovy hippie dad

  • Ole Peyote! Nice video my friend..

  • Looks like the album cover, great Video!

  • bass player Mark Andes went on to play in HEART, and was Ann Wilson's boyfriend

  • Still a major favorite all these years later. The other lasting albums are Exile on Main Street and Blows Against the Empire. But 12 Dreams is still my No.1 of all time.

  • seems like a million joints ago.

    take care

  • It mite just be that they are a druggy band...

  • wow i go onto a video to play guitar along to this song and all the comments are about drugs...awkward

  • why did mark andes leave spirit ?

  • long live lsd 25

  • i think your info on the band maybe slightly off but i may be wrong. animal zoo also charted. i got a line on you which doesnt appear on this album, re charted 20 years later and reached no 3. the band never slipt up but played into the mid 70's until randy died saving his son.

  • This LP was the SHIT on purple pyramid, windowpane, orange barrel etc. That summer was magic Not that trippin' was that good for you but that was the last of the real visual stuff that Jimi and Randy C was doin'. ahh memories

  • brings back memories of wild times!

  • Forgot the good old days with windowpane. Sure would like to have some now.

  • @Akyuz1000 better off with shrooms......although windowpane was quite good....we got a hold of some that had kind of melted together so we didn't know what a hit was.....apparently we took close to 2 hits each......o my

  • Very cool... well done!

  • a desert ilse lp if ever i heard one....Randy California is truely missed by me....he was my favorite guitarist...MJA

  • 17 and trippin' on 4 way orange sunshine...gosh...this brings back the days of playing chess (when the men on the chessboard get up and tell you where to go) for real and burning candles, watching them melt...or watching the cotton clouds while lying on the grass...trying not to have a rush when talking to mom and trying like heck to get out of the house before she realized...watching the snow on the tv...oh my goodness the 70's rocked!!! Thanks for the dream...

  • @Whitedovie YES!!

  • I've aways loved this album.

  • Great video effects. Which version of nero vision did you use?

  • @foxdfive1 nero 9

  • I heard it first on orange barrel...definitely took me there! Sadly there just isn't music like this any more!

  • Great acid rock. Reminds me of another great psychedelic band,

    Ultimate Spinach.

  • Owning this album indicates you have wide and selective taste.

  • Birth of "heavy metal"?

  • I can't find the words.

    The images were perfect.

    It was just like being.....There.

    (I was there.)

    Thank you, Richardmclaughlin.

  • Nice video man!!

  • must be tellin my age.....awesome album! had the privilege of seeing them twice, once sitting @ a table against the stage with randy standing in front of me. he stopped playing to share a joint and a heineken for a few. rest in peace randy!

  • mark andes was ann wilson's boyfriend for a while, during his days in heart

  • Great guitar. Trippy

  • When I Touch You - Spirit [California] - 1970 - "A truly AMAZING reflection of some of the band's greatest strengths, namely the jazz/rock fusion buildup." - Twelve Dreams Of Dr. Sardonicus-1996. NOTE: The instrumental section contains one of Randy California's finest psychedelic guitar solos and Jay Ferguson's vocal's are great. Soulful and spacy at the same time, it highlights that band at its finest. One of their BEST.

  • Awesome sound!!! Thank you for posting it.

  • JEANS

  • Help me out here, There's a song I think it's name is " Cadillac Cowboys." One lyric says, Makes the girls cream in their geans.. I don't see it posted come on lets here it....

  • very cool ......brings back memories of cutting school to hang out & trip to this ..........definetely on my top ten albums list......

  • Tripped on Sunshine with a girl called Sunshine when we played this in her tripped out quad speaker VW bug traveling into the forest around midnight watching the stars and geometric shapes embedded into pine trees while gravel roads turned into multicolored jewels. Yeah, it was a great ride. The music here has nothing comparable to the vinyl sound. Here it sounds almost tin-e and lacks the high end guitar trebel. Quad speakers in a VW will rock you into another dimension....

  • @MagicDad2006 Right on with the VW speakers !! I had a '71 Super Beetle with a Muntz 100 watt amp and I blew more minds than LSD> Great story....Carolina Clyde

  • I remember sitting in my friends rock room listening to this a lot.

  • ...A superb job of editing to get all the effects in synch with the music, But,

you could Lose the little guy flippin' the bird because it doesn't fit with the rest of the video. Un Necessary

  • love this band, trippy as feck.

  • love this band, trippy as feck.

  • Sardonicus.....yes.....their best

  • I love this sound. Can't believe I'm only hearing this band for the first time.

  • Is this sauerkraut or rockkraut..

  • it is interesting to read the descriptions of the various keys that were used to access this message... i am blown away by the delivery... the sounds are equal to or better than the vinyl... the visuals are equal to or better than the best light show we could do back in the day (circa 1968)... i was in a band that covered Spirit, along with Led Zep, Jimi, Steppenwolf and others in the panhandle of Texas we were not the most technically proficient band, but we were in the top 3 loudest! BRAVO!

  • Anyone else about 1/2 step out of pitch w/this one?

  • I was just thinking this would be an excellent video for those on acid...

I'm sure I was on something a few times while listening to this album. Which I still have. :)

  • fresh 3" round peyote buttons mixed in a blender with various sweetners added for more enjoyment. wwhat a trip that was !

  • Yeah, 4-way barrel.

  • ahead of their time certainly ahead of anything of the crap out today

  • Believe it not I got meet these guys...My buddy Tom Wood made us fake press passes for, get this, TEEN magazine and the back stage guy at the Waikiki Shell bought it hook, line and sinker. Got to talk with all of them for about half an hour and then they went on...absolutely a mind blowing experience. Randy played that clear lucite Mosrite (I think is the maker)...wish you were there. &..........!!!

  • wow this is the first time hearing this group..its kind of funny that there was this gold record hanging on my grandmas wall of her place with the Twelve Dreams of Dr. Sardonicus album framed to my uncle for selling 500k albums. come to find out that my uncle was the groups manager.danny tucker . wow too bad my uncle is no longer around. i would have loved to hear the stories he must have had touring with the band.

  • @markw90745 Cool information....Sardonicus was some of their best work no doubt...

  • @markw90745

Quiz your grandma, friend................'twill be worth the effort!

  • one of the most under rated bands ever!!!!!

  • I was listening to spirit in 1970...full size speakers on floor...one at either side of my ears...with a blanket over them to keep the sound in!....tripping fantasctically

me scott jefferies and dave mccann, from holmdel, nj lived on spirit! The songs really never ended between songs....

    bill stukey

  • Coll..I have the vinal but no turntable. I havent heard this for at least 30 years. Thanks for the memories

  • Saw them in London in the 80's dear god they were jaw droppinly good...

  • When you listen with headphones to this album, you will notice that the songs that fade out are connected to the following songs.

  • My Favorite concept album!

  • Neat effects. What did u use? Water effect in AfterEffects? I like the Matrix-like at 5:25.

    Good job.

  • @JIMMIESURFS nero vision, windows movie maker,

  • No Marylou, I don't remember this. I haven't seen this kind of Psychedelic Memory Music in Many Years. I had to double up on my meds, just to watch it. It tweeks so many Psycomemories. I'm beside myself. We TY for suggestion it. We thought it was a Movie. Thanks Freak! Your Friend's Randy&Randy

  • i dont sign in very often

but i did to say this is funking great

    good job man!

  • I do not believe that you have flagged this masterpiece as spam!....

  • Spirit wasnt actually A PSYCHEDELIC band. They considered themselves as a innovative rock band, much into protecting their environment (Nature).
