  • I miss him so much...

  • Go to the link in the description, everyone. Long live Kubrick.

  • gotta see some

  • This video was so brilliantly set to the music, it is a dire shame that the audio has been disabled/changed. If I were a betting man, I'd bet that Kuberick himself would agree.

  • Gosh, we need Kubrick now more than ever. He will always be remembered for his versatility and genius.

  • I guess this time the audio is muted for good. :(

  • It's a shame to disable the audio track.

  • GO TO THE LINK ON THE DESCRIPTION FOR WATCH THE VIDEO WITH AUDIO.

  • This is why youtube is terrible. We can't enjoy one great video with sound? What is wrong with showing appreciation for the genius that is Kubrick? This sharpens me up and makes me ready for a bit of the old ultra-violence.

  • This was such a great video!!!!!

  • My boyfriend and I loves listening to the song from this!!!!! Please post it on a different website or something! We lived it so much!

  • I assume they muted this because of the "Lolita" music at the very beginning. Why not try and upload it again with either that part cut out or a different version of the "Lolita" theme instead

  • @Encom7 Shit! that 2001 opening with the lolita theme was fucking EPIC!!!

  • @RaulSoaresG1452 - Yes I know but it doesn't do us much good if we can't even properly watch the video now because that part is in it.

  • @Encom7 Go to the link on the description

  • @RaulSoaresG1452 - Um...yeah I know, thank you. I was talking about this video here on youtube though. The one that got the 271,000 views.

  • My short films in my channel are better than anything Kubrick has ever done in his entire career.

  • so awesome!

  • 2001 is possibly the greatest film ever made..

  • WOW . Amazing !!! Thanks again and again....

  • 1. Go to "Google Translate"

    2. Translate "Is Stanley Kubrick the best" from Vietnamese to English

    3. Look at the English translation

    4. What a truth

  • @MinamuTV rofl some people got too much time on their hands... like myself xD

  • surely their different filmmakers. I admire Bay's work ethic but dazzling explosions in front of me isn't as appealing as Kubrick's storytelling. It's also quite clear Bay is after the cash as opposed to Kubrick who was after art. It's also unfair to judge, and especially from Mr. 1994, cause Bay is still alive and reaping the benefit's of modern technology, but I'd like to imagine what Kubrick would be up to if he were still with us.

  • At 3:03 What movie is that? help please?

  • @divahime378 It's Eyes Wide Shut or A Clockwork Orange..

  • @divahime378 Eyes Wide Shut

  • Stanley Kubrick Vs Michael Bay? there both exelent directors but Id say Bay because his movies have better action and CGI

  • @MegaMaverick1994 he may have better action but the cgi thing is bs he totally abuses it more than my father uses my asshole. that and kubrick is more dedicated and raw... wish i could say the same thing about my asshole...

  • @MegaMaverick1994

Wow, wow, wow! Whoa, whoa, whoa! You're actually suggesting that Michael "Armageddon" Bay is a better filmmaker than a man who revolutionized movies every time he got behind the camera?? You're actually saying that Transformers is a better, more important film than A Clockwork Orange or 2001 or Dr. Strangelove?? Seriously?

  • @MegaMaverick1994 Bay has a world of modern CGI and other special effects at his fingertips whereas Kubrick merely had the basics of a camera, lighting equipment, cast and crew and lot of talent.

  • What's the song at 3:53? i have watched this video so many times but i never could figure out the name of that song

  • @RougeA74 it's Beethoven's Ninth Symphony -Fourth Movement

it's an edited version made for Clockwork Orange (otherwise called "March from a Clockwork Orange")

  • 25 people had a different opinion

  • this is one of the rare vids with perfet music editing and atmospher

  • eyes wide shut wasnt very good so i think you take that down but the rest perfect

  • 25 people had to choke themselfes

  • You did one helluva job! Stanley would be proud =)

  • Kubrick, you are the master....

I love it, every segment of their movies

    Ultra-Violence i love that...

  • A bit of the Old Ultra-Violence eh me brothas?? :D

  • im 16 and a big fan from him he did amazing movies :D

something different , not this 0815 movies

  • This is art.

  • the opening to this video is fucking genius. check out mine for tarkovsky on my channel

  • solutions for finding song titles- google the lyrics or use soundhound on a smart phone

  • What's the music/song at the beginning and at about 3 minutes in?

  • @Arrested101 the song at the beginning is from Lolita, the song at 3 mins is from Eyes Wide Shut

  • @DarkProphet94 Thanks but i meant the actual names of the songs.

  • kubrick said that his favorite flick was eraserhead.

    Source: "Catching the Big Fish"

  • FoooOOOOOOD AAAAARRRrrrriiiiight?

  • I swear, I have to watch this video at least once every month for inspiration! Kubrick, you are missed now more than ever!

  • @spiritualCAPTAIN1 Yeah he is can be great but he shouldn`t do obscuritism, but he did inspire, Lucas, Spielberg, coppola, De Balma, Scorsese, nolan, fincher, cameron, scott, zemeckis, tarrantino, etc....

  • @spiritualCAPTAIN1 Possibly the most overrated director ever - Spartacus, Barry Lyndon, Full Metal Jacket, EYES FUCKING WIDE SHUT!!!!! jesus....

  • @ryko26 fuck you those films are great all of them are in my top 100 films of all time

  • @inbreakingnews Eye Wide Shut and Spartacus are in your top 100 films??!!!! Well, we must pay great heed to your words then! lol Would love to see some of your other 98 - Wind Talkers? Showgirls? Higlander II? GI Jane?

  • Comment removed

  • I havent seen any of those movies, but no I wish to..

  • That was epic. nuff said.

  • best director in my opinion. all his movies is considered art not just a movie and thats something you dont see from directors today.

  • Comment removed

  • Very well done!

  • eyes wide shut was so bizarre. ALL THOSE NAKED PEOPLE.

  • I'd like to see you do a tribute to Akira Kurosawa. Maybe Also Woody Allen and maybe Bergman and Hallström.

  • Great Tribute

That would be so cool if you did a tribute to Terrance Malick even though he has only done like 5 movies

  • to Barringer82: I don't know how long this took you to make (I edit so I can imagine quite a bit). Either way, fantastic. Really, I've seen this several times and it fills me with such excitement watching this that I have to instinctively pop in one of his films.

PS - have you tackled any other directors?

  • @ripro83 so far he's done tributes to kubrick, p.t. anderson, scorsese, michael mann, lynch, ridley scott, wes anderson, tim burton, quentin tarantino, david fincher, woody allen, russ meyer, john hughes, & the coen bros.

bennettmedia [dot] blogspot [dot] com & then /search/label/Directors%20Series?max-results=20

  • @ripro83 Yes, he has. Look up films of Wes Anderson, Paul Thomas Anderson, and Ridley Scott. He's made more tribute videos on directors, which could all be found on his blog page.

  • I'd like to see Kubrick spit on James Cameron's Avatar

  • If Kubrick would have saw this video, he would start to cry.... This is amazing...

  • @Zambior You've just got to know where to look. Cinema always has its ups and downs, good and bad. Sure, in the past couple years we've had Mars Needs Moms, Hall Pass, Grown Ups and Furry Vengeance. We've also had There Will be Blood, The Social Network, Zodiac, Black Swan, Certified Copy, The Tree of Life, etc. Great films are released every year, and although the vast majority of them don't come close to any of Kubrick's movies, I wouldn't say cinema is "assfuckingly gay nowadays".

  • Kubrick is the man as Jack Nicholson would say, all these big actors would try and challenge him but he had a vision and a passion that not even the biggest names like Kirk Dougles could change, he IS the greatest director of all time i swear by it, if theres a God his favourite films would be Kubricks. As Terry Gilliam put it Spielberg gives you all the answers, Kubrick makes you ask all the questions. Respect and Love for Kubrick

  • ive only seen 3 stanley kubrick movies but he is one hell of director

  • incroyablement beau....

  • You are awesome Barringer82! You know what art is! Thank YOU!

  • Brilliant! Brilliant!

  • this came out on my birthday

    epic

  • Awesome video! Thank you. Happy Birthday in whatever ghostly place you are Mr. KUBRICK.

  • Happy Birthday, you cinematic god. R.I.P. Stanley

  • Kubrick was a beast! There will never be such a good director.. I hope that there will be.. But that's just impossible.. He was on an entirely other level.. Happy birthday Stanley! Your movies will never die.

  • that is possibly the best video on youtube!!! cheers!

  • I'm sure I've commented on this superb vid before, but today, Kubrick's birthday I again need to say how amazing this piece is. Kudos to you for putting it together so perfectly... It illustrates with crystal clarity just how singular, important and great Stanley Kubrick was. Thanks again and Happy Birthday Stanley Kubrick.

  • thumbs up if a clockwork orange is the best

  • beats the hell out of my tributes..

  • Its absolutely magical how he never ever ever ever ever ever EVER made a bad film. Such a fucking genius.

  • @tisbutafleshwound Wow...you know thats true. He NEVER made a bad film. I never actually thought about that until now. He had a 100 percent perfect career record. Does it surprise me? Not in the least.

  • @Joltzz1985 Yeah its pretty crazy. Very few directors who've made more than 5 films can claim 100% perfect films. Kubrick made 12.

  • What an honor it is to have shared the Earth with one of the Greatest Artists of all Eternity!

As a musician, I've often wondered what it would've been like to have been alive in Beethoven's or Mozart's time...

Well, many of us remember going to the cinema to see the latest Kubrick film - and yes, we know exactly the exhilarating feeling of being exposed to timeless art.

  • 1. Clockwork Orange, 2. Shining, 3. FMJ, 4. 2001

  • These are all great films and Stanley is indeed one great film director. But what saddens me a bit is that most of his movies are based on novels or were written by someone else.

  • @archangel385 why would it sadden you? The origin of the story shouldn't really matter that much, the story itself should. All of the stories Kubrick chose were, and are, beautiful. The films though often differ so much from the book that they are almost their own.

  • @archangel385

Muses, yes, but Kubrick found something in those novels that speaks to all us and made these stories his own.

  • @archangel385 Even all of Shakespeare's plays save Twelfth Night were based on things other people had written or histories that had already transpired. Standing on the shoulders of giants friend.

  • the king of kings

  • 1.A Clockwork Orange

    2.Lolita

    3.Dr.Stranglove

    4.Barry Lyndon

    5.The Shining

  • @smotsliner

    full metal jacket, 2001.

  • Man, what version of "Lolita Ya-Ya" is this? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

  • Man, what version of "Lolita Ya-Ya" is this? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

  • @Zambior

At least we still have David Fincher and Paul Thomas Anderson

  • @Stiny114 well, the guy is the creater of this stanley kubrick tribute video. Thats what it has to do with it.

  • guy is a pedophile "Paul B. Proulx, 28, of 24 Bennett Place, was arrested on a Worcester Federal District Court charge of child pornography possession, police said. No other information was available."

  • Correct me if i'm wrong, but it seemed like there wasn't much 2001: A Space Odyssey... and in my opinion that's Kubrick's best! But anyway, Awesome video!!:D

  • @Zambior shut the fuck up you homophobic bigot!

  • What song starts at 3:52 and continues to the end?

  • @TheFactoryofMorrison That was off the Clockwork Orange soundtrack by Wendy (Walter) Carlos. It is Beethoven's 9th Symphony, 4th movement. Wendy became famous in 1968 for releasing Switched on Bach with the same electronic score. She (he) also scored TRON in 1982.

  • I've seen every one of his movies. Stunning.

  • Holy Fucking Shit!!

    This video was Amazing!

  • @Zambior way to choose three bottom of the barrel movies that all tanked.

  • Genius.

  • Great director, a genius of 20. century! The Cinematic without Stanley Kubrick isn't Cinematic.

  • 2001 was such a good movie!

no one now-a-days really appreciates it for what it was.

I mean, it was so revolutionary and ahead of it's time.

    it's amazing

  • I cried. Blees your little heart, Kubrick. There will never be another one like you.

  • @Zambior Notice how all the movies you mentioned bombed at the box office.

  • Comment removed

  • Pretty cool

  • Stanly Kubrick... wow, what a hack!!!

  • You haven't watched a movie until you've watched Kubrick.

  • @Engage777 I couldn't agree more. Kubrick is the man!

  • @Engage777

    Well said!

  • @DanceRobbDance It's Haendel - Sarabande

  • ANYONE KNOW THE NAME OF THE SONG AT 1:09 ?????

  • RIP the king of film making.

  • FULL METAL JACKET !!!!

  • Every Kubrick film I watch brings new meaning to this video to which I humbly appoint as the best video on youtube.

  • I know I've seen this before but now I know this is editing that goes on hours, days or even weeks of work ahead to achieve such a level of ediditing in sound, music and film. one, if not the best compilation of kubricks work!

if you don't do a Brian DePalma compilation this year, I'll do it for 2012 and upload it here!

  • @spanishprisoner

ho yes, a de palma, coppola and scorsese compilation and you'll become my friend !

  • @leleoparddu62 you mean me? I can do a DePalma but Scorsese and Coppola are harder, since I have only half of Scorsese's work in memory and Coppola has left a scar in my soul when I was 13 and convinced my family to watch Jack... I was really persistent... Imagine me sitting in the theater and being gobsmacked as the last third of the movie unfolded in front of me and the audience...

Nevertheless, I can make a Coppola compilation of his glory years!

  • @spanishprisoner

sorry if my english is bad, i'm french, if you can make a de palma's compilation, it'll be great !!

  • This is captivating and shows how Kubrick uses certain themes in all his movies and related imagery. The ending is a shock to the senses. I especially like the section that shows all the extreme zoom camera work in his films. Amazing director and a wonderful tribute!

  • when stanley kubrick died one part of the cinematography died with him

stanley kubrick the best film director of all times

  • Excellent video, great homage to arguably one of the greatest directors of all time :)

  • Masterful editing dude. :)

  • what is that song starting at 3:56

  • @swingindoorspro2 bethoveen 9th simphony ath the middle of 4th moviment

  • @swingindoorspro2 beethoven symphony 9 mvt 4

  • anybody likes polanski

  • This may seem like a cliched statement, but for Kubrick it's true that he was born to make movies.

  • Watch Venerdi Forno, a Kubrician movie

  • am i the only 1 thts pissed cuz tht i didnt hear "i was cured alright" at the end of this

  • well then, you may be interested in checking out Kubrick's Odyssey: Secrets hidden in the films of Stanley Kubrick, whcih contains devastating proof that the landing was shot in a studio on Earth! It exposes Kubrick's "deal with devil", how he faked the moon landings in order to secure his future. This film was just released and is available at sacredmysteries . com.

  • @taoingsmile Give me a link so I can watch it and come back and disprove your little theory.

  • What's the name of the song playig from 3:45 onward?

  • masterpiece montage of masterpieces

  • Fantastic and absolutely brilliant, but why no vocalisations from Peter Sellers?

  • @CanardDeChien "I'm Sparticus, have you come to free the slaves?" that was Sellers in Lolita.

  • A wonderful tribute and excellent editing. Kubrick is one of the best filmmakers of all time and may he rest in peace.

  • Yes, yes... Very nice postpostmodern clip mix!

  • 4:28 perfect timing man.. good job on this vid

  • if u were born in the 60's or early 70's, u know what it felt like to go to a theater to see the new Kubrick movie...words can't describe this feeling.

Your tribute is awesome and that's an understatement of course.

    Thanks for posting

    RIP

  • Best Kubrick Tribute I've seen yet!

  • what a mad genius Kubrick was. this is a very well made video. Kubrick was one of the greatest directors of all time and never made a bad movie, he did make some disturbing films but they were all brilliant.

  • This made me cry tears of Joy
