Pepper Adams' solo was unbelievable - I must have watched 2:00 to 4:40 about 10 times now.

Does he have electrical tape on the top of his bari though? haha

That was something. Mel played a time on a crash ride, a 20 medium ride and a swish knocker Zildjian for the drummers who ask. I have only one LP of TJML with UMO and I'm impressed by his sound, deep and powerful without hitting hard. He heard this sound and produced it, the Gretsch drums don't explain all ! I'm also very impressed by Thad's compositions. Does a song book exist ? I agree, this is ZE Big Band (in french).

His drums always sounded great.
