I have Epilepsy. It sucks. I get made fun of in school. :(. It's my biggest problem. And everyone knows I have them. It's not something I want to live with. So god plz make them go away. My family agrees they want them gone as well. :(
Some people actually find it funny to make fun of people with this horrible health condition it can ruin your life if you let it but I laugh at the complete ignorance of people that find humor in hating on people with this condition it just shows complete stupidity
@manchester26m sucks aye shame someone couldnt like knock us out when one starts to stop it that'll be gold, hang in people shame this currency prob the world supposably has atm was due to research of health not war..
Thanks for making such a positive video about people with epilepsy. I was diagnosed when I was 15 and went through years of depression and hated what had happened, also terrible anxiety.
But now I am 24,engaged and starting a new life in college as an archaeologist.
Anything is possible. You can still lead an extraordinary life whilst having epilepsy.
Epilepsy doesn't define the person you are,it's just a part of you.
Thanks for making the video I was recently diagnosed with Epilepsy and it really does make me feel better to know that somebody cares to actually help us in the world and make a difference to educate others who don't get what we are going through Thank you so much
and i have lived with it since i was 5 and i have been in and out of hospitals all my life but now i ride horses everyday and go to school get good grades and swim i have been bullied all my life has been in a fire and has been beaten up for who i am but i still hang in their
and i have lived with it since i was 5 and i have been in and out of hospitals all my life but now i ride horses everyday and go to school get good grades and swim
Epilepsy is not a problem if it is under control. There are many types of Epilepsy so you need to see a doctor for a referral to see a neurologist and appropriate medication to suit your particular type of seizure like optical effects etc and other disorders. Most of this video may scare some of the younger teenagers-- but understand if it is controlled you can have a normal life without the sadness and bullying that many of the comments portray .
People who get stroke often end up having Epilepsy through no fault of there own. A brain hemorrhage will destroy many parts of your cells in the brain this leads to different types of paralysis of the body. A left hemisphere stroke of the brain effects the right side of the body and a right hemisphere will effect the left side which can loose the use of the hand and some of the leg through muscle spasm which in turn can shorten the leg length. Suggestion--try to exercise and eat less junk.
I really feel for all who are diagnosed with this awful condition but I am so pleased that there is alot more openness about epilepsy now than there used to be, this is not to say that there is still many many eyes that need to be opened to how this condition can be so debilitating. Good luck to everyone and keep your hopes up.
Thank you so much. It means a lot to know that there are those who suffer from Epilepsy out there, willing to stand up and speak against "The Ignorants". I have been under treatment for 7 years now. And, unusually enough, I sometimes appreciate it... why? Because it makes me stronger and more focused to go above and beyond the jokes and criticism. Epilepsy is not a "disability", but an affliction that you must cope with and therefore channel it into developing yourself into success. Thank you!
@karatekidfu I know exactly how you feel because I have epilepsy as well. We are strong because we take one or many of the most powerful medications in the world. In addtion we go on with our daily lifes while having a daunthing thought that we might have a seizure at any moment, people without epilepsy do not know those feeling and I would never wish what we have on anyone. But, as I said before us anlong with all the epileptics will overcome!
I hv epilepsy for 18 years now and it is even worse than having cancer... The emotional pressure I xperience will forever be in me. This song is good for ppl who don understand epilepsy... Most ppl don. so many misconceptions and believes. It was worst wen I was still schooling... Wat I don get it Is y kids in my school bullied me but frenz I made outside of school treat me normally and help without hesitation ??!??!!!!
I just attend a paramedic training and we had seizures as topic yesterday. To be honest I had no clue about seizures so far and I'm glad that I was able to learn about it. As a paramedic we have been asked to be aware of this topic, especially as we might be the first one noticing that the injury for which we have been called may have been based on a seizure that was never noticed before by anyone.
I wish you all the best and hope that the awareness in the peoples head is growing.
love the video but aim still unconfortable talkin about it. aim in uni now and need to tell my dorn/fellow but aim not quite confortable about it and aim worried i may have one and not told her. i dont understand why i am having trouble now i told my friends in high school well senior year but better than nothing right? wat can i do? anyone know? dont know of a website to talk about this stuff so i just went to the video
I wish this was out when I was growing. This explains me and how I was treated having to deal with this . There were many times I didn't want to wake up in the mornings to go to school
Amazing video! I was just diagnosed with TLE and recently had two grand mals at night. SOOOO scary waking up on the floor and in pain, beaten up physically and emotionally. This video and song energized me and I feel stronger and less alone
As the mother of two boys affected by Epilepsy I am thrilled to see this video. God Bless you for your insight and caring. Thanks for doing your part to restore my faith in humanity!
Thanks for the vid! I've been living with Epilepsy for almost a year now. I actually have three kinds of seizures. Grand Mal, Petit Mal, and some other kind. I don't know what it's called now. I forgot. It was actually strage a few days ago while I was out on my walk (don't worry, I didn't have an "Episode"), because I was thinking to myself that they do things like marathons or whatever for cancer, but they don't do anything like that for Epilepsy, at least not where I live.

Epilepsy is supernatural. Trust me I have had 4 seisures in my life and its the most effing lonely feeling you will ever experience in all of the universes combined! I have seen the most "un-real" worlds during my seisures. This is a bad "human" kind of thing, but in a spiritual realm there is some insight
Amazing video! My cousin has epilepsy and some boys at school always used to pin her down and flash a torch in her eyes on and off to try and make her have a seizure.People can be so cruel.

I have just been diagnosed with epilepsy, people at school are horrible they treat me like im disabled, and spread rumours about me when i have seizures.
Its really scary and i'm currently starting my gcse's and its stressful enough without my school being unfair towards me. My teachers are really understanding but i've never felt so alone in my life.
Keep talking with your doctor and your parents as to your medical progress. I went through many different antiseizure medications, in part because of allergic reactions, in part because of severe adverse emotional side effects of some of the medications. We've finally settled on two medications.
